If the American youth/collegiate pipeline to the NBA wasn’t completely rotten, NBA teams wouldn’t need to invest in international scouting. They definitely wouldn’t be using so many draft picks on guys who can’t come over for several years. The European invasion of American basketball is an American problem, if you believe it’s even a problem. I for one miss technically sound, skill-based basketball, and there’s only one continent to get that from and it ain’t North America.

I watch that show and there are times that they start discussing defense and Kmart and McCants will start to stand up and say these guys lack effort and or pride, etc and Gil just talks over them so much that they eventually back down. And he talks about the offense being so good that he makes it seem like there isn’t even a reason to play any defense. And I know he wasn’t a defender what so ever but to make it seem like they don’t want to try cus it doesn’t matter is ridiculous. They don’t want to try cuz they follow the lead of the example set by their “king” and defense is tough and difficult and they don’t want to put in that type of work.
