Edward: pulls out that belt Haytham: deuces✌️ Connor: eating popcorn in the background enjoying it saying to a dying haytham you should have GAVE ME LEE
Edward would win a straight up fight, guy wasn't even trained proper and was dropping Templars and Assassins with hidden blades he just found out existed. When it comes to strategy, I wanna say Haytham but Edward was no dummy when it came to overseeing his ship, crew, and *fleet* if that minigame can be considered canon.
He was a trained Privateer prior to becoming a straight Pirate, though. Edwards profficency in weapons and tactics comes from a soldier background. He was a also a young man, in his early 20s when we first meet him, by the time he died at 45, we can imagine that he probably was no longer in the same shape as in his 20s, because he focused on raising his family, training Haytham a bit on the side. Haytham kept in shape all his life, was a true believer to the Templar cause to the point that he didn't bother marry anyone else to raise a family (this was in the 1700s afterall... A man like Hatyham would be expected to marry, even if only for appearances). Meeting Connor was a real "road not taken" moment for him. It's evident by the game that he intentionally let Connor kill him. He left his arm free so that Connor could stab him, if he had the conviction to do so. We can imagine that he would have let go of Connors throat had he "won" and used that fact that Connor did have the oppertunity to, but didn't, to sway Connor to finally join his side.
Idk Haytham had lifelong training, lived longer, took on assassins and became the leader of not just a ship but the entire templar order, along with hosting a stronger moral foundation that keeps him certain rather than unsure like his very reflective father Edward. It literally took the leader of the opposing order to take down Haytham, not just 3 randos who surprised you 😬

I really can't decide. Haythem would definitely outsmart Edward. But I think Edward would definitely out pace Haythem. This makes me wonder of a what if. What if Edward survived but Haytham still became a templar? The Grandfather and the grandson both assassin's in America, and the son the Templar Grandmaster. THAT sounds like an interesting tale.
I give it to edward mainly because when he was in his prime he was younger and he's still way more experienced in combat. He was able to kill and assassin easily after being in a ship wreck
Remember that the ocean is constantly moving and changing so when Edward fights on ships he’s constantly on uneven ground and as Jack sparrow once said “ are you really gonna cross blades with a pirate”
About Edwards death yes he died from a few bandits in a home invasion however his death was already planned. Asssassin creed 3 was already done with Edwards death scenario already in mind before Black flag was even in development. Because from Edwards black flag gameplay no way he would`ve went out like that
Based off of playing both games I have to give Edward the W with all his weapons and equipment plus even playing on ground ends kills everyone I'd say better then even Conor
bro,in real life combat, you don't have time to think unless you're trained to use techniques a lot, unless you trained on a technical move a lot so your body automatically does it, you can't think,so basically haytham doesn't really have the chance to forge a plan while fighting edward, and keep in mind that edward spent years fighting and assassinating and he learned everything by his own,he can fight an entire fleet wether with the jacdaw or hand to hand combat, and edward fought different enemies with different fighting styles&mindsets, while haytham on the other hand doesn't seem to be that much of a fighter, and being a templar is a different thing of being a pirate,a pirate's goal is to kill and steal,so basically "to me" edward has the upper hand in combat, but with intelligence......i don't really know but haytham definetly has a good point compared to any other character, but compared to his father,i don't really know, and sorry if my comment is rude
Respectfully I think that Edward would win given that he had been a pirate turned assassin plus he was dropping templars and assassins before he even knew what they were and ha also had four guns compared with haytham didn’t but I respect your opinion and I love your videos they are so fun to watch
Edward too benefits from the lack of formal training. He learned as he went, picking up new skills as situations called for them and augmenting them to his pirate techniques. Using the rigging for stealth and to launch attacks from for example, being able to bring death from above with the hidden blade. He also used eagle vision intuitively without any training in it, the first time someone was able to tag targets and enemies to be marked even without actively using eagle vision. The Black Flag novelisation shows Edward getting an underdog win against a physically imposing opponent before Walpole ever showed up, showing that he’s not just face value.
Im gonna argue stealth here I do thing haythem is gonna be better at stealth, but i think itd be incredibly hard to sneak up on edward. Pirates and privateers are always looking for the knife that would sever their spine or slit their throat It wouldnt be impossible, but i think youd have to be at a distance or waiting in a doorway, not making a single damn noise
Well, who will shoot first? I'd bet on Edward, he's just have more experience with pistols, and he's seem to wiling shoot first and ask question later, unlike more diplomatic Haytham
I‘d say Edward. He‘s just vicious and fights Dirty. They face off and Edward just pulls his frickin FOUR pistols and then just goes boom. Haytham is a Great fighter but i would just say Edward.
If Edward had lived, Haytham probably wouldn't be taught to be a Templar. I am not saying he could not change sides later like Shay, but he would definitely be an Assassin apprentice.
A naval battle between the Jackdaw, Morrigan and the victoire of Adawale. Although the morrigan did get the better of the Victoire in Rouge but that wasn't a fight. Adawale was running away and not engaging in a battle
Prime Edward beats Prime Haytham, but in game Edward would lose to in game Haytham. Black flag isn't Edward's Prime, his Prime was 40 years old, 2 years before his death and Haytham is at least 2 years past his prime
00:30 I think that the answer at this question is very simple: Haytham would have been an assassin and an amazing one. He will become the great Master of the assassins in the UK. I think that also Connor would have been born the same because (this is my personal theory) Achilles might have asked Edward (if he is still alive) and Haytham for help after the events of Rogue. Obviously the plot of AC3 would have changed a lot 😅😅
haytham would have to eat 4 pistol shots back to back to back to back before melee was even an option. this would be fine if haytham was a damage sponge from odyssey, but he isn’t. edward takes a stand-off, haytham takes a stealth-off.
Only time I think I disagree with you. Not factoring in mobility at all. That nature parkour which Edward knows and his son doesn't. Come on. More angles to attack from. And I highly doubt Edward didn't receive some training in the Assassin ways. Not ALOT mind you. But definitely the same core as every other character. I don't think he takes the win easy, but I do believe it more likely. Not to mention we straight up play as Edward taking down dozens of assassin's pretty early into his own game. When he was still fresh and green. That shows some serious room for improvement. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe he is 19 when the game starts. He is 16 in the flashbacks so early 20s at most. And he was shown to be on par if not above his sons skill level. Of course gameplay reasons, but it should definitely factor in
You did a video on which assassin has the most intelligent but if you don't consider battle iq and intelligence the same then do a video on which assassin has the most battle iq in my opinion it could be bayek because the made most of the assassins way for his mind and trained them he was also a medjay but it could also be Altair or ezio
Edward wins in a straight up fight but with prep time haytham could win if he sets up a trap. If they were to go to war at sea then Edward wins no question.
Haytham had lifelong training, lived longer, took on assassins and became the leader of not just a ship but the entire templar order, along with hosting a stronger moral foundation that keeps him certain rather than unsure like his very reflective father Edward. It literally took the leader of the opposing order to take down Haytham, not just 3 randos who surprised Edward 😬
haytham messed connor up no doubt edward would mess haytham up no matter what the father is always stronger than the son especially if both are on their PRIME
The fact that haythem was able to gst the better of Connor at 1st says it all. Haythem is highly underrated and probably would give all the colonial assasins a very hard time. Other than Connor I don't see any of them really beating him. Also the fight really depends on the battle ground and weapons. No weapons at all and Edward wins hands donw. Guns and Muskets Edward wins again. But a fight with blades Haythem would be far to skilled for Edward. I feel that Haythem is the most skilled swordsman out off all the colonial characters and has a real grasp on the fine arts of swordsmanship. Aspecially in one on one dueling.
Haytham I feel is the deadliest character in the ac series minus super powers. For one, he let Conner kill him and just look at the sh*t Conner’s pulled off! Two, everything Shay did in Rogue Haytham either taught him or *did better* and three, as you said, Haytham has Assassin training and Templar training
yk what there are many to compare but i feel like half of everything you say is kind of a repeat bcs you are using same characters too much how about expand it to side character like maybe liam from rogue shay's former best friend i would say vs i actually forgot while typing so lets just go with charles vane who was killed bcs he lost his sanity but also one thing i think would be interesting is guard comparison as an example ac unity guards vs ac 3 guards not many in unity have muskets than 3 which has almost every guard type with a musket and i think it should be compared with like a 1000 vs 1000 battle like if it was black flag vs something black flag has like 5 types so it would be 200 of each type against wahtever the opponent also theres tecnically another type for the crew yea the crew is kind of captain type just to not be as weak as the basic no block slow attack saber lads the crew is actually like a captain but at half power i would say but idk if it should be added to the thing bcs they are not an enemy except the pirate hunters but they still use the basic types as agile brute and whatever the basic one's name is i just call them the basic not the ones edward has also one interesting comparison aswell would be rogue vs black flag legendary ships maybe el impoluto vs formidable or idk if that is a legendary ship i dont remember exactly but i think it would be interesting to imagine a head on battle between all legendary ships black flag vs rogue but just remove the fleets in legendary ship batltes from rogue bcs thats too unfair legendary only
These H2Hs are always affected by favoritism, as proven by this comment section. People will always go with whichever character they like the most, and not what makes most sense lore wise.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe he is 19 when the game starts. He is 16 in the flashbacks so early 20s at most. And he was shown to be on par if not above his sons skill level. Of course gameplay reasons, but it should definitely factor in
I feel like Edward is more people smart then book smart
George Munro vs Elise de la Serre, who was the better Templar?
You did a video on which assassin has the most intelligent but if you don't consider battle iq and intelligence the same then do a video on which assassin has the most battle iq in my opinion it could be bayek because the made most of the assassins way for his mind and trained them he was also a medjay but it could also be Altair or ezio
Edward wins in a straight up fight but with prep time haytham could win if he sets up a trap. If they were to go to war at sea then Edward wins no question.
You can do Arno and Jacob . who would win in your opinion
Edward wins because he has more pistols
Edward would win because he has more and better weapons
Haytham had lifelong training, lived longer, took on assassins and became the leader of not just a ship but the entire templar order, along with hosting a stronger moral foundation that keeps him certain rather than unsure like his very reflective father Edward. It literally took the leader of the opposing order to take down Haytham, not just 3 randos who surprised Edward 😬
It will be a close fight
كل عم انت بخير يا اخي من سوريا
arno vs jacbo
Gadgets least to best useful.
Edward: *wears a condom*
Haytham: *doesn’t exist*
haytham messed connor up
no doubt edward would mess haytham up
no matter what the father is always stronger than the son
especially if both are on their PRIME
honestly i dont know if this is my childhood speaking or not but i think edward would win
I always make a joke about Edward getting the belt and whooping haytham
I would bet on Edward for this round.
If Haytham was an Assasin and not a Templar he wouldn’t have been in the colonies, therefore Connor wouldn’t have been born.
Pls do desmond vs layla
Haytham I feel is the deadliest character in the ac series minus super powers. For one, he let Conner kill him and just look at the sh*t Conner’s pulled off! Two, everything Shay did in Rogue Haytham either taught him or *did better* and three, as you said, Haytham has Assassin training and Templar training
Edward would win. I dont have to watch this video😂😂
yk what there are many to compare but i feel like half of everything you say is kind of a repeat bcs you are using same characters too much how about expand it to side character like maybe liam from rogue shay's former best friend i would say vs i actually forgot while typing so lets just go with charles vane who was killed bcs he lost his sanity but also one thing i think would be interesting is guard comparison as an example ac unity guards vs ac 3 guards not many in unity have muskets than 3 which has almost every guard type with a musket and i think it should be compared with like a 1000 vs 1000 battle like if it was black flag vs something black flag has like 5 types so it would be 200 of each type against wahtever the opponent also theres tecnically another type for the crew yea the crew is kind of captain type just to not be as weak as the basic no block slow attack saber lads the crew is actually like a captain but at half power i would say but idk if it should be added to the thing bcs they are not an enemy except the pirate hunters but they still use the basic types as agile brute and whatever the basic one's name is i just call them the basic not the ones edward has also one interesting comparison aswell would be rogue vs black flag legendary ships maybe el impoluto vs formidable or idk if that is a legendary ship i dont remember exactly but i think it would be interesting to imagine a head on battle between all legendary ships black flag vs rogue but just remove the fleets in legendary ship batltes from rogue bcs thats too unfair legendary only
These H2Hs are always affected by favoritism, as proven by this comment section. People will always go with whichever character they like the most, and not what makes most sense lore wise.
