Nice video! I don't think I've ever read a western, but if I do, I'll strongly consider this one! It sounds like a great immersive novel to get lost in :)
Thanks Curtis! I really enjoy how he develops characters. I also recommend Leaving Cheyenne which is really a love triangle story. Everything he writes really gets down into the complicated and messy way people think and act. Usually when I finish a McMurtry book I have to take a day or two break from reading.
Loved the movie. Return to Lonesome Dove, not so much. It's funny that the strangest element of it was the truest, but I guess that shows how men like that convey how they feel through actions more than anything else.
