That's a pretty cool tip. I've been doing this type of work since the late 80s and never seen it done like that. I usually take my angle maker and that gets done pretty good too.

It will be square to the wall with no cut against it but he started at the wrong side of that crazy taper. If you don't start at the wide point it will never cover with the other end strait. If you don't understand, hire a pro.
