Currently, the best and cheapest way to shop and ship from US stores and online e-commerce sites like Amazon, Etsy, Newegg, Ebay, etc to Kenya is by using third party forwarding companies. Two of the best that I have tried on several occasions are Kentex Cargo and Savo Store. In this video, I compare the two based on my personal experience and the information they provide.

This was informative, I have never used Kentex but I have used Amazon over 5 times and only one time or twice they have shipped withing their 14day period intact there was a time I waited for over a month , I'll have to try Kentex the next time I ship .
You can try them, or even other similar but cheaper services that have come up lately

I actually stopped shipping with Savostore due to their exorbitant pricing. It's just ridiculous. Nowadays I use Statesduka. Their prices are just hard to beat. I've not had any problems with them but their customer service is atrocious. I'll have to point that out

I also used Statesduka for a while thinking that it was a safe heaven. After a few orders they also started sand bagging me with outrageous pricing. Given that their customer service is atrocious as Sami referred to, You are fckd either ways.

Lucky Duck... You are one of the few customers I have come across that has had a positive experience with kentexcargo. In my own experience, kentex committed all the crimes you just placed on SavoStore's doorstep. But what's even worse is the fact that they charged me an extra $100 because of delays in shipping from faults of their own over in US. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, IGNORE BOTH COMPANIES, THEY'LL BOTH LEAVE YOU CRYING
Pole for your experience, but please note that this video is more than a year old now. Though I guess generally shipping goes well for most people, but a few may have issues.

I just watched that other video yesterday morning, I'm planning to buy a laptop from Amazon and that video has helped me a lot, I wasn't sure if people ship to kenya and after watching that video I was more than satisfied. And could you please do a review of your custom built pc? Kentex ships their goods at least once a week. Every Thursday. So the likelihood of you getting your goods on time is very high.

I purchased two items on Amazon and they have arrived at Kentex warehouse in the USA. They are to be in Kenya by the January 21. will keep everyone updated. I would also like to know if Kentex shipS from Kenya to the USA?
Not sure about that, but I doubt. Youre probably just going to use the normal post office.
Hi, thanks for a such precise and detail video. New subscriber here. This is what I have been looking for for a long time and you have done well to go a head of my fears and imported computer parts. My question would be, which company did you use to import computer parts above $100 dollars? Did they charge extra for insurance purposes and what was the percentage if they did?
I used a mix of both Kentex and Savostore.I didn't pay for insurance because it wasn't compulsory,but check their terms.

Thanks for watching, I might do that with time... but its not difficult, you just use the Kentex warehouse address as your shipping address on the site you're buying from.

Customs duty is usually included in the shipping cost so you don't pay or follow up on the customs clearance yourself. You can choose to collect from them when it arrives in Nairobi or have it shipped forward to your final destination in Kenya at an additional fee. For Kentex Cargo they use Wells Fargo if I am not mistaken.

I want to have a laptop and some office accessories send form the US to Kenya, I wanted to use DHL,,, what information do I need to give the shipping company?
I don’t have a P.O. Box address, is it a must if i want them shipped to me so I can collect in Nairobi?

Id advise against DHL... use these shipping companies, it'll be cheaper. You can call them for more info.

I used Globe Flight Kenya to ship an xbox series s from UK.
Arrived at their UK warehouse in Southall on 31st March.
Shipped from UK to Kenya on Saturday 3rd April.
Available for pickup at Nextgen mall on 8th April.
Charges were 9.5 Pounds/kg + Kes 2000 service fee.

Thanks, usually most stuff nowadays is made to support both 110 and 240 volts,but check specifications first.
Since most of these gadgets are bulky I suppose, You might consider ocean freight. Shipping such heavy items like home theatres via air can be ridiculously expensive.

3.48 Insurance is tricky. What is the risk factor here @ 5%. I would imagine if I was shipping stuff worth $10000/- I would have to pay 500/- in insurance but there's no clear communication on what it covers or compensation terms.
Definitely no clear terms and conditions... But I guess its better than nothing, just for the sake of some peace of mind hoping nothing bad happens

These shipping services have becoming quite many I doubt I can be able to use all of them, but I'll try a variety. Currently my top recommendation is Aquantuo.

@@sylviarahabngimawahome8980 Well, as someone who has used Kentex I'd recommend it for your peace of mind. You can make purchase yourself and have items delivered to their warehouse address. Aquantuo has preference of making the purchase for you. Kentex did lose my package once but hey, they did issue a full refund.
