Welcome to Zhou Shen's family. FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now all around the world. He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. Even with his high note, it will not hurt your ears, not like so many artists out there. Theres another vocal coach reacts that says hes doing the classical thing, but adjusting his vibrato to more modern thats why it doesn't sound too classical. Because someone people don't like classical, the way someone people don't like all music. ZhouShen really is the singer of his generation. His fans, ranges across all the age group, because of how versatile he is. Especially because he does pop so well, but he started out with songs like this which are more folk.
Do you know how long he studied classical music for? I saw in the interview I think he mention he studied dentistry for I think 2years, before he goes into a music school, but he lost his voice because he was training too hard, I wasn't sure what the condition that he got from it was, but he couldn't sing, then he decided to find the teach which finally became the one that he's truly grateful. I remember he mentioned in the interview the teacher didn't want to teach him at first but he was persistent, and it was at the time where he couldn't sing, so when the teacher finally accepted him, he had to refrain from talking too much, so that when it comes to the teachers lesson he could sing a little bit, but eventually he got better. It says he trained bel canto, and Im wondering if the last teacher was the one that trained bel canto? but for how long?

I would say Zhou Shen has a great soft ,healthy, unique and sweet tones with his high notes vibrato vibes I really like this emotional song so called " Big Fish" 🐟 🎏（大鱼）, because this song sung by Zhou Shen has impressed deeply into everyone hearts and souls massively after listening 🎧 it. Zhou shen is one of my favorite singer and Big Fish is my most favorite song of him, I heard his voice on The Untamed Series where he sang one of the OST and I thought he is a female but when I research about him, I just found out that he's man, I'm so shocked and amazed. I discovered Zhou Shen through the movie Big fish and begonia......as if that movie didn't hit me hard enough (yeah, I was in tears) then this song came in the end credits to totally destroy me. Made me check out who the singer was....and much to my surprise it was Zhou Shen, a male singer. What an incredible talent! To this day I'm not sure if there's an official soundtrack....would love to have it. I do have artwork from the movie framed and a pillow 😆. There is a Chinese artbook of the movie...have yet to find a good and affordable copy. Yes...I'm a bit obsessed with this movie. 😎. After this reaction.....really do watch the movie. I remember watching his interview. Someone already mentioned he went to dentistry and how he went to music school eventually. But what I wanna share is when he started in the music school he was training too hard without proper technique, and he lost his voice, what condition he had at the time I don't remember but he couldn't sing for about a year, so at the time he decided to find a teach to train him but the teacher refused to at first. he was persistent and kept going back to him until the teacher finally accepted him. He has always liked singing, so when he gave up dentistry to pursue something he like but lost hist voice, so he kinda had some existential crisis, and I think that experience lead him to this healthier way of singing as you said.

His vocal range is C3-A5 (said himself couple of years ago) and uses a lot of ‘air’ in his songs esp ballads to soften the tone to better story-tell.. a long passage just to say he uses and softens his mixed voice in most parts of his deliveries :) so many songs to recommend for your reactions, can’t wait to show him off :) there is this song he sang raw and causally on a live stream that many love but doesn’t seem to have been reacted to at all “A Bloody Love Story”.

Zhou shen is one of my favorite singer and Big Fish is my most favorite song of him, I heard his voice on The Untamed Series where he sang one of the OST and I thought he is a female but when I research about him, I just found out that he's man, I'm so shocked and amazed. Then after that I became his fan. His voice is so cool, amazing, and beautiful. I hope you can also react to Mao Buyi, he has a beautiful voice too, my favorite song of him is Unsullied.

I discovered Zhou Shen through the movie Big fish and begonia......as if that movie didn't hit me hard enough (yeah, I was in tears) then this song came in the end credits to totally destroy me. Made me check out who the singer was....and much to my surprise it was Zhou Shen, a male singer. What an incredible talent!
To this day I'm not sure if there's an official soundtrack....would love to have it. I do have artwork from the movie framed and a pillow 😆. There is a Chinese artbook of the movie...have yet to find a good and affordable copy. Yes...I'm a bit obsessed with this movie. 😎.

I remember watching his interview. Someone already mentioned he went to dentistry and how he went to music school eventually. But what I wanna share is when he started in the music school he was training too hard without proper technique, and he lost his voice, what condition he had at the time I don't remember but he couldn't sing for about a year, so at the time he decided to find a teach to train him but the teacher refused to at first. he was persistent and kept going back to him until the teacher finally accepted him. He has always liked singing, so when he gave up dentistry to pursue something he like but lost hist voice, so he kinda had some existential crisis, and I think that experience lead him to this healthier way of singing as you said.
I've seen a lot of reactions and it's rare to see even a little technical analysis like in yours. Kudos!
Also, hope to see more reactions for Zhou Shen's songs. He's a very talented singer, and is capable of a wide range of genres.
