Yes! Black seems boring But I guess perhaps the client wanted it to be super versatile and maybe they are very young and wear a lot of black. (Or even a bright first green)
I didn't read the name of the video before watching and honestly I was sad to see the black color replacing the original camel tone. However the work is excellent, I wish they showed the inside too.
Nice job, few little tips though (I'm a professional leather worker) chromium tanned leather like what's on that bag will be sealed with an acrylic plastic finish, scrub the bag with acetone to remove the finish then wash it. You'll get better results. Also I'm assuming the finish you sprayed was something along the lines of Resolene, this completely stops ALL absorption of any leather products, add your leather balms / nourishing creams / oils before you apply surface finish. You will get softer more supple leather and prevents that plasticy feeling. Otherwise nice re-dye 👌
think of this, all fast fashion stores replaced by second hand shops+thrift shops and artisans's stores that customize or refurbish items that may need more care/adjusting to you.

When reselling, especially in used luxury markets, they usually describe the bag as being redyed or modified. It does affect the resell value, actually

I'm guessing because it saves space to move onto the next area? or gives them a clear birds eye view on what parts they missed since the shampoo is just foam.
Personally I prefered it dyed due to the practical and visual matters... apparently the client thought the same, since it was a custom dye Darker colors always tend to be a bit more low maintainance

So best option is airbrush if I'm not mistaken in factory they also do their dying and finishing processes with airbrush technique

Why do you have to wipe the shampoo ! Like why don't you put the shampoo on the whole bag then wipe it?

I think its not good to get leather soaked for long periods of time. So he works in sections to minimize time of soaking. Just my opinion though
