Just got hired for ski patrol here in Southern California. Got 30 days to complete my training and get my jacket. Lots to learn, I’m ready for the challenge!
Caleb Brininger I went to the job fair that my mountain puts on in late October. Went up to the ski patrol booth and spoke to them. Got hired and then was paid to train thereafter.
born and raised in breckenridge, colorado. ski patrol was THE job and everyone had a story about "almost" making that year's cut. they're the only cops i respect lol.
I intend to add financial support to your videos but after clicking on the donate button, no credit or debit information was asked for so I don't know how payment will be made. Do I get an emailed bill or has something gotten lost?
In my winter sports a kid got pushed into a tree by his brother and got a concussion and got air lifted to the hospital, I was skiing that day but didn’t see it happen, only at King Pine in New Hampshire
Ski Patrol provides first aid at Canada's #1 music festival, Ottawa Bluesfest in early July - though not for the past 2 years because of COVID. I've been a volunteer there for 20 years, currently as a gates supervisor and often in charge of the main gate. If you're ever in Ottawa again, Bluesfest would be a great subject for another video. So much happens in areas other than Gates that I don't know about, and IDKWYGNBIKIBTWY.
One day, I will have to go to Canada, British Columbia after COVID-19 and go to Fernie alpine resort and go snowboarding. The snow there must be so soft compared to here in Australia.
There are many ski resorts in BC and Alberta and it seems that half of the lift staffs there are Aussie or Kiwi. Been to Australia and New Zealand and would like to go back.
Where are the song of spring...where are they?...think not of them...thou hast thy music, too...while barred douds bloom the soft-dying day...and touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue...then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn...among the river sallows...bome aloft...or sinking as the light with lives...and full-grown lambs lound bleat from hilly bourn...Hedge-crickets sing...and now with treble soft...the red-breast whistle from a garden-croft...and gathering swallows twitter in the skies...💖
DownieLive yah the only place I could find decent powder was out in the Siberia bowl. Made the most of it and found some big jumps. Still a fun weekend
50 seconds into the video I had a thought "some of these guys must be paramedics" and I am not disappointed. Great content!

Thanks for keeping our hills safe!
What steps did you have to take first to get hired or did you just apply and they give you all the training?

Brian, I got your $50 donation. You must have your credit card attached to your UA-cam account, because I received the payment. Thank you very much!
Those toboggans are referred to as meat wagons.....and the ski helmet is the brain bucket. I was rescued and hauled away once many years ago.
