In reality not that much slower in a straight line to 60 as a similar aged 911, 348, Nsx and gtr's of the day. But because its French and we are British, its sh!t lol
Surely Alpine could have improved the styling of the A610 with elements from the smaller Alpine W71 prototype, also kind of a pity it never received the 3.0 Twin-Turbo V6 found in the 260 hp Safrane Biturbo and stillborn 280 + hp Laguna BiTurbo prototype.
As much as it hurts to see Clarkson destroy a car like this, you have to admit the A610 isn't exactly Alpine's high-point. Venturi is definitely not rubbish
I'm French and even if I really don't like to see him destroying such an emblematic car (at least such an emblematic brand) and criticizing my country each time he is given (or gives himself) the oppurtunity to do so , I have to admit that he's funny.
It's also really funny to see his face when he has to admit that the car he's driving is French while reviewing the Bugatti Veyron ;)
By the way, the new Alpine looks absolutely awesome !
bugatti veyron is german.
@@Andrushe4kanka no it s a french brand, produced in France, only shareholders are german . stupid comment
That chip on his shoulder is what really hurt him, not the crash itself. It reminds me of the autodafe by the Nazis in the 1930s. Destroy what you fear is a threat to your narrative.
Is nobody gonna point out the wipers on this car
Is it true that you challenged him in a radio show years ago, and he admitted he actually quite liked it? I mean, i still love him, but if it is true, all this things he said and did to the little blue Alpine were meant for what?
Did he say he like the looks?
dramatic crash ,remember the show but years on its a shame to have wrecked it.
Es gibt schon seltsame Menschen
так это постанова или нет?
Odd how he raved about the earlier V6.....
Pffffff he didn't respect Alpine pffffff
It wasn't top gear it's clarkson supercar dreams
To think THIRTY years ago that car was doing 0-100 KMH in less than SIX SECONDS, that was faster than many cars three times as much in value. Ferraris included.
Renault stopped marketing them as ALPINE and a buyer was faced with paying 911 prices for a Porsche badge or a RENAULT badge. Image won out :(
could do +165 mph according to test mechanic
It really looks like there is no driver during the crash....
yep, was all remotely controlled. A usual made up lie by Clarkson to amuse the viewers
Taken From Clarkson Duel
it was FIRST broadcast on the show and THEN did appear in the DVDs that the BBC produced.
FRENCH BASHING !
This man don't like cars...He just wants to make show...
1968philou shut up kid goddamn
No. He just likes good cars.
@@maks-hg2yq thé A610 completed the 24h du Mans 1994 and beated some GT2 such as Honda NSX...not bad for a car Clarkson found funny to destroy here...
pilou c'est he doesn't et pas he don't
Those Englishmen know the automotive industry better than everyone; therefore Land Rover, Jaguar have been taken over by Indians and Bentley/Rolls Royce are owned by Germans now.
I guess Bugatti isn't french anymore according to him
You know...you may find me stupid...but it reminds me of a iroc z
sorry but i disagree with Clarkson with this car, he really went too far with this.
This was my dads car...
He wasn't even in the car when it crashed if you look closely when the door comes poen just look
Obviously.
no shit sherlock!
Well, you're a genius.
