I wanna do the same but this time I'ma get my little sister a piano and buy myself a violin, if that ever happens anyway. But If it does happen, we're gonna try and learn these instruments together and maybe even play together some day. And of course, I want to play this particular song with her.

I love how simplistic the violin part is compared to the piano; really shows how Sunny was a beginner trying his best (there are some sections where he messes up the notes a bit) while Mari was an experienced pianist who practiced the piece to perfection.
It seems pretty calm though I wouldn't go as say this piece was played by an absolute beginner. The vibrato and shifting definitely sounds like there's been a lot of practice as most don't learn it until at least their second or third years of playing.
could you elaborate on what parts are 'mistakes' and how you can detect them? I can't parse sheet music at all and know little about music, so this detail really fascinates me, and would add such a sweet and amazing layer to this piece. That it could even convey his skill-level would be so cool, to me. I have no ear for these 'mistakes'!

So fun fact: My older sister used to play piano, and I haven’t played violin in about 4 years. I only started again because of Omori. The plan: Get my sister to play piano again. Make her learn Final Duet. Throw my violin down the stairs. Get revenge for her stealing chocolate from me when I was 5

with some clever hand redistribution of the violin melody and good voicing (mostly with the left hand) you can actually almost play the whole thing solo!

1:17 I think there's a mistake here, in the right hand section of the piano. In 1:14 You noted "FA-bLA-DO" for 4 measures, but it sound kinda ofd when you play it, I think it should be "FA-bLA-DO" for the first two measures and then you change it to "DO-FA-bLA" for the other two, thats sounds exactly like the audio you are using. (beyond that your transcription is the best i have found for this piece)

I have a piano (actually a keyboard) and a violin and I am currently learning the piano part. When I finish learning, I’ll record myself doing the piano part and then record the violin part and through editing, I will match it up so it can all come together. At least that’s what I am TRYING to do.
