I remember that time. It quickly became my favorite. I saw them on the Puppets tour and heard them play it. My jaw hit the floor. Then comes Garage Days re revisited $5.98ep and I felt like I was hearing solid gold.
@Kirnehnosskire88 They do, but only if you consider music - a sport. While this is really well played, the original has got way more of that eeeevil feeling running through it.
I'm not from an english-speaking country and I once forgot to hold my tongue during English classes. I started singing quietly "I've got something to say. I killed your baby today..." and then my teacher screamed "Oh my God!! What the fuck are you singing?!" Dear Metallica and Misfits, thank you for enbrightening my life! :)
METALLICA GREAT BAND1 I HAD THE LUCK TO SEE YOU AT iRVINE mEADOWS WHERE i was fortunate enough to see you play from side stage and met a member I was standing near who was in DEVO a band I liked too. I was able to do a stage dive with nobody hurt and got taken away by security . Not so bad I got a rfide on their golf cart over the long walk back to the parking lot.Great music and nice cover !
He said it was his favourite song this decade. There is nothing wrong with that sentence. HIS fucking favourite song THIS DECADE. If he stated that it was his favourite song released this decade, you can call him on it. The Misfits come nowhere into this, he was referring to Metallica's cover. Why doesn't anyone understand English.
This was probably some of the last years that James Hetfield actually still somewhat sang like James Hetfield live, instead of him trying to actually sing his songs, even the old school stuff.
IMO the best live era of the band. They were never as this solid again. Mainly because Lars became less and less solid as a drummer and also because the Jason vocals had quite an impact live.
@ArizonaLizardMan both metallica and misfits rock, and no one is overrated! metallica just have great respect for the misfits and play their songs, that's all
no im trusting hundreds of websites over what you say type in thrash metal the big four on google and watch how many sites come up plus the fact that they all started in the early 80's and are all good popular bands
Let's not forget the influence Danzig-era Misfits had on the band. They still play covers of "Die, Die My Darling" and "Last Caress" though people still swear blindly that those songs are by Metallica. Sad, sad world we live in.
because misfits released only crappy quality recordings when Glenn was with them. I actually wish they get back together and do the job properly. Apart from that I always put them on when I'm relay pissssed off :)))
I'm about to gun down that "he is gods gift for the world when hes not" statement. Ready? He brought modern metal to this little planet I call Earth with a newspaper add.
@BlackRaven1988 I like the Misfits version better, I mean the old 1970's version is poorly recorded but when you hear them live with danzig then live with Graves singing it, its awesome...~But of course misfits are my favorite band so of course i'm gonna say that, its just my opion ~ :)
Love the original love this short sweet ball tearing version aswell if any of you can cover it any better without doing an exact copy id like to hear it
The harmony in the chorus always gets me
James : "You guhreeedy BAHSTURDZ!"
(crowd cheers)
in my opinion, the best live band on earth
Remember they went for napster these greedy corporate head fake af band and then they went clean
They could be the best live band and the worst live band in two different shows lol
But not nowadays, they're constantly epic now
Ac⚡️dc
I dunno Cypress Hill at the Reading Festival 1994 was something else.
Freebird!
0:27 - "Ehaha, Ok, mhyflabah"
Translation - "Ehaha, Ok, Jason's out of the band"
+Wolf Hentzen XD Oh my god.
+Wolf Hentzen Sr u made my night
Metallll de mierdaa que a pasadooo que se fue ala mierdaaa que vuelvaaaa el metal y sea 100 % maaaaas que todaaaa la musica y generacionessss
which is funny cause apparently James Is a big Skynrd fan (According to Steve Gorman of the black crows)
Worst decision they made! Jason ruled!
Absolutely epic.
I haven’t seen or heard from you in years...how ya doing man?
Of course this is
Agnostic front, blitzkrieg bop live is so insane too... And many mores🤟
Original is best
1:28 that little part with jason on the vocals sounds amazing
"I killed a baybi todee!"
-James Hetfield
*Glenn Danzig
@@ntispe8891 he meant the pronounciation
"i killed dababy todee!"
- me
It’s like he didn’t want to say it lol
This is a terrible nursery rhyme😂 😂
1:10 obsessed with the harmony there
Good point mate! 🎉
I remember a time when everyone’s favorite Metallica song was their cover of “Last Caress”
This time existed? Or you just being ironic about people thinking metallica wrote this song now?
Attitude is my favorite Guns N Roses song
I remember that time. It quickly became my favorite. I saw them on the Puppets tour and heard them play it. My jaw hit the floor. Then comes Garage Days re revisited $5.98ep and I felt like I was hearing solid gold.
Ah yes, good ole 1935
Always shall be Disposable Heros
one of metallicas best covered songs ever
Ha. "As long as shes speayeyeyeyeaayeaaahhhaadadddd"
For those of you who do not know this is a Misfits cover
no shit for real?
Duh.
That's why I came.
+Courrral
Lol multiples?
Tubs McGubs I mean, did you consider "duh?"
Only metallica can play a punk song and make it sound metal
+Pink guy thrash metal is about as close as metal gets to punk so..
+Pink guy It sounds punkie enough
Ah..in case you don't remember, megadeth made a cover of anarchy in uk in 1988 just in case.
Thor Janson Grindcore?
Slimy the upopular gamer Grindcore does not sound punk wtf.
The attitude of this era is absolutely electrifying🤘🤘🤘LOVE the cunning stunts live era!!!
Newsted cool bass and vokal❤
Yeah. We know it is a Misfits cover. And Metallica nailed it. They did Last Caress so beautifully.
Are you being sarcastic?
@@mickeeriksson9784I prefer this live version. So?
@Kirnehnosskire88
They do, but only if you consider music - a sport. While this is really well played, the original has got way more of that eeeevil feeling running through it.

I love how Newsted seems to always be wearing the band's tour shirts while on stage
Jason was the best! Great voice
Omg so beautiful greatest cover ever.
Great song and it's great that you shared it, It's hard to find, especially since they haven't played it during concerts in recent years...
I love listening to Jason anytime that James asks the fans what they want.
I so wished I could have been one of those ‘greedy bastards’ at that concert! One of my very favourite live covers. 🎸👍🎸
I love the introductions to this song :D
"It's a good goddamn thing cause I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY!"
Just awesome \m/
Omg songs like this match so good with james' voice!
Honestly I think this is the best cover of this song yet.
I'm on this earth 33 years and this is the first time I've heard this cover 😍😂
La escucho todos los dias cuando me levanto

I started singing quietly "I've got something to say. I killed your baby today..." and then my teacher screamed

Dear Metallica and Misfits, thank you for enbrightening my life! :)
It would have been awesome if your teacher would have answered: "doesn't matter much to me, as long as its death".
that happened
最高のミスフィッツのカバー!

Not the biggest Metallica guy, but this is so awesome

I find it weird that metallica was so influenced by punk songs. Not complaining though. Misfits and Metallica
What a sick drumming

god i love this song
Metallica is a GOOD band.. no joke.. they are the best band at teamwork skills between the members of the band. Best in that criterio of qll timea .

Lars drumming in this is better than in almost any metallica song post 1995..
The whole 30 seconds of it lmfao
I thought this too. He'd have made a better punk drummer.
