Working my way through your course in reverse, gearing up for my 305 test on Feb 15th. earned the test through the Microsoft Ignite challenge, way above my current skillset, so this will be an experience.

This seems like there could be some idea of using azure virtual desktop some day without needing to be ad connected to native active directory some day, I’m doing some terraforming of it but have that sticking point that would be nice not to need someday. Awesome stuff thx John.
Great video John! What is the timeline on the eviction rate? Do I have a 10% chance every hour or 10% chance every week? I feel like some sort of "frequency" of eviction would be more helpful, e.g. "This spot VM is likely to evict 3 times a day"
Very strange metric indeed. I mean I can understand that 5% chance of eviction is better than 15% but it doesn't really help me assess the risk factor in terms of cost savings (which is very clearly stated) vs % chance of eviction.
Thanks for this, some great money saving opportunities can be leveraged from this I imagine. Just an observation, wouldn’t it make sense for the AI to step in at the time the VM is provisioned to give it the best survivability from inception?

Was asking myself the same question. Why risk an eviction before making an intelligent placing decision?
