Hi John, great video as always. I remember when I started watching your content beginning my journey with Azure. I never thought that any of it would ever make sense, I'm sure there are people watching your videos thinking exactly the same. 1 year on and I'm actually becoming pretty capable with Azure and M365. Your brilliant at what you do!
Pure gold John, the conceptual background you shared with us is fantastic!

This is so cool. I just wanna type this here, I am currently a social work student and i finished my IT study last year. But i missed IT so much. Had an interview for an IT job last week ( starter function on a SD, but they work alot with azure which i find rly cool ) And they want me. Now just trying to learn as much as i can online it gives me so much energy! My dream eventually is to become a Azure architect and this video has been my first step towards that goal, and having a better understanding of what it really means. Thank you so much!
Good luck! Hope it all works out great for you.
The best dedicated instructor ever seen
Very kind, thank you!

Very useful session. Thanks a lot
Most welcome!
@@NTFAQGuy What kind of tests should be done to ensure that post migration all the existing artefacts are fit for purpose in Azure Cloud and Business can carry on as normal without disruption. Would be useful if you could make a video on this topic. Thanks
Thank you so much for your content, you Absolute Legend of a Man 💔❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥. Thank you
Very kind, thank you 🤙
Thanks... Your videos make me think
Great to hear
Hands down best Azure content on YT!
Any chance of Azure Arc tutorials as there seems to be no content available anywhere, yet it is mostly discussed topic by clients running multicloud
Thanks. I'll look at Arc in new year ;-)
@Irina Geiman I did post Azure on-premises video about a month ago. That covered Arc.
Awesome!!! you are the best!
Thank you!
A great video.... Made it look easy to a layman like me... thanks
Welcome 🙏
Excellent !!
Brilliant apart from the sacrilegious comment about migrating from Oracle to Postgres - my Oracle heart felt that! :-)
Lol
Sorry John, you're going to have to speed up your video production because I'm flying through them - and they are fantastic!
ROFL. On it
THIS DUDE IS BUILT LIKE A GOD I CAN'T EVEN FOCUS
lol. An old, bald one :-D
Thank you. I appreciate you...
Very welcome
Like. Tick. Subscribed. Tick. Comment, tick. Keep up the great videos. I remember John from NT4FAQ days and I have been following him ever since.
lol, ahhh the good old days :-) I didn't have hair then either :-D
@@NTFAQGuy For someone with no hair you mention it a lot :P
@@laurensbot we always want what we don't have :-)
@@NTFAQGuy Ain't that the truth! Thanks for all the great work you're doing. I have watched most of your content.
Maybe consider a Patreon page so we can give you something back?
@@laurensbot very kind but not needed. I run this channel as a way to give back to the community and don't want money out of it. Same reason don't have any adverts on the channel.
Awesome vid
Thanks!
You are Great.
Lol, thanks :)
you are great !!
Hehe thank you!
I really enjoyed the video as I'm preparing to migrate from vmware to azure. I'm a little disappointed there was no guidance on configuring the appliance which I have a view challenges. Keep up the good work 👍
Glad you liked it.
Great Video. You are Awesome
very kind, thank you!
@@NTFAQGuy is possible make some videos on Azure monitoring and performance
@@manuagrawal1349 i have a whole video on monitoring that is part of the master class.
awesome
Great video! Cleared up a few questions I had around databases! Do you have any videos or ideas on how or best practice for migrate on Prem in terms of user authentication for these old servers? For example we have an app server 2012…… that currently uses ad authentication on our dc is there a process for this as I am aware azure ad is not the same and doesn’t natively migrate on prem ad to azure as there to seperates.
I have a number of videos about AD in Azure. Just search the channel.
Thank you. This was quite informative. Are you able to advise on what security and firewall solutions are available via Azure as well? especially for financial institutions ?
lots on the channel. just search
Is there a list of common challenges which can be highlighted and discussed for Azure migration
Hey John, I do part time teaching at a local university and I love your MS Whiteboard use on that touch screen. What is the model and size that you are using?
There is playlist of setup
I found some differences btw your definitions and those that can be found on the web. I understood that rearchitecting is less complex than refactoring and that the first one requires fewer changes in the code than the second one.
Using Scale Sets could be an example of rearchitecting?
docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cloud-adoption-framework/migrate/azure-best-practices/contoso-migration-overview
Wow .. first comment .. John could you discuss tools and resource for Service architect
not sure i fully understand the question. service architect is very broad.
@@NTFAQGuy Hi John I mean a practical approach on how a solutions Architect would approach a given migration project
These videos are phenomenal, thank you !
Thank you very much again, learned a lot of new stuff from videos
Thanks, glad they are useful
