As someone who's going from your typical on-prem AD to a cloud-based job role, this was incredibly useful just to get my brain around everything. I've watched a lot of your videos in preparation.
Hi John, great video as always. I remember when I started watching your content beginning my journey with Azure. I never thought that any of it would ever make sense, I'm sure there are people watching your videos thinking exactly the same. 1 year on and I'm actually becoming pretty capable with Azure and M365. Your brilliant at what you do!
This is so cool. I just wanna type this here, I am currently a social work student and i finished my IT study last year. But i missed IT so much. Had an interview for an IT job last week ( starter function on a SD, but they work alot with azure which i find rly cool ) And they want me. Now just trying to learn as much as i can online it gives me so much energy! My dream eventually is to become a Azure architect and this video has been my first step towards that goal, and having a better understanding of what it really means. Thank you so much!
Hands down best Azure content on YT! Any chance of Azure Arc tutorials as there seems to be no content available anywhere, yet it is mostly discussed topic by clients running multicloud
@@NTFAQGuy Ain't that the truth! Thanks for all the great work you're doing. I have watched most of your content. Maybe consider a Patreon page so we can give you something back?
@@laurensbot very kind but not needed. I run this channel as a way to give back to the community and don't want money out of it. Same reason don't have any adverts on the channel.
I found some differences btw your definitions and those that can be found on the web. I understood that rearchitecting is less complex than refactoring and that the first one requires fewer changes in the code than the second one. Using Scale Sets could be an example of rearchitecting?
@@NTFAQGuy What kind of tests should be done to ensure that post migration all the existing artefacts are fit for purpose in Azure Cloud and Business can carry on as normal without disruption. Would be useful if you could make a video on this topic. Thanks

Hey John, I do part time teaching at a local university and I love your MS Whiteboard use on that touch screen. What is the model and size that you are using?
Great video! Cleared up a few questions I had around databases! Do you have any videos or ideas on how or best practice for migrate on Prem in terms of user authentication for these old servers? For example we have an app server 2012…… that currently uses ad authentication on our dc is there a process for this as I am aware azure ad is not the same and doesn’t natively migrate on prem ad to azure as there to seperates.
Thank you. This was quite informative. Are you able to advise on what security and firewall solutions are available via Azure as well? especially for financial institutions ?
