After watching your video I checked my fuse and I have a short fuse installed from the factory. My guess is that some bikes have the long fuse because they just ran out of the short ones. Thanks for the videos. I’ve had my CVO for couple weeks and enjoy your videos.
Thank you for the confirmation! My assumption also was a parts issue. But I think a bit sad for them to "OK" sending bikes out with the incorrect fuse! Congrats on the bike, I am really enjoying mine.
@@ITFZone Mine has the short one, and the short one is listed as the spare part. I'd be more worried as to why the assembly line thought it was safe to send the bike out with the main fuse unprotected from the weather/water.....
@@markbarron9253 For sure with the early 23.5 CVO's there were variances on how they were assembled, mainly wiring harness routing and some even had odd things like 1 black saddle bag lever and the other chrome. We know the CVO's were leaked with those early photos and to me I wonder what the employee culture on the line was like at that time.
Hey Tom, I should have refreshed my memory by watching this video before pulling out my fuse, but I didn't!! For some reason my Harley Navigation on my 24 CVO froze on a street and wouldn't correct itself after turning the bike on and off many times. I thought to myself, I'll pull the fuse and put it back in. Well what a surprise!! My alarm system is quite loud. I should have powered on the bike and waited for the chirps before pulling the fuse. I still have ringing in my ears. After putting the fuse back, eventually the alarm stopped and the navigation rebooted itself and is now working again. I've learned my lesson on the fuse removal. I sure wish I knew what happened to the navigation to begin with???
See my video on the embedded navigation, that was just 1 short local trip! I would verify your GPS antenna is secure if you are seeing issues with bumps. You would have to remove the outer fairing.
Good info. ! I'm wondering if there are spare fuses on the bike somewhere? Or do I have to go out and purchase a spare main fuse and any other fuses just in case they blow, don't want to be stranded. Thank You
Thanks! After the first 150 miles, I got the hazard/warning triangle light on and my cruise control won't stay engaged. Have you experienced/heard about it?
In theory you should have a DTC code now, get that I can take a look. I am also aware that if you have the fog lights / cooling fan turned on in accessories it will produce the triangle. Feel free to email: ITFZoneEmail@gmail.com
Thanks @@ITFZone. FYI, I started getting the engine high-temperature warning and found lots of coolant on the floor. I contacted the dealer. A connector for the coolant pump was not seated properly, so the coolant was not circulating and boiling. After setting the connector, all warning lights are gone. Have done 200 miles with no problems, and the cruise control works, too.
It is the 10". I am 6'1" and have found it more than ample. I was thinking that the 5" windsplitter might work as well. The new fairing does a great job on its own but that stock shield just made so much wind noise!
The key to getting the CarPlay icon to light up is to make sure your device manager shows a headset on the Connected list along with your phone and your phone needs the CarPlay icon. Make sure your headset is paired as rider. Pulling the main fuse for a good few minutes is the way to reset the system if everything looks correct.

Mine is short too, fuse...

You and me both! Mine locks up regularly!

Thanks, I asked in the last video and voila, you make a video about it! Nice work as usual.
Appreciate the support! Keep the suggestions coming!
My 2024 RG came with a low profile fuse..... HD must have watched your video 😉
Yep it appears to be a limited few that shipped with the incorrect fuse. It was crazy with the first few of these new bikes!

No extra fuses on the bike. Well worth having a spare 60amp especially if traveling distance!
Well this solved my harley map being stuck in Alaska..while being in Vancouver BC Canada :) if I see you I owe you a beer or scotch :) cheers
Would love to share a spirit with you sometime! Glad this worked out, it is the only way to truly reset this system.

Glad this resolved for you! Enjoy the ride error free from here on out!
Nice Mod! is that an 8" windscreen? I'm 5'9" and installed a 8" screen and had to replace with a 5"

Interesting. Main fuse went up from 50 to 60 amp from the previous generation touring bikes.
The battery for sure is underpowered for these new bikes, I do believe this is the root cause of the starting issues!
Probably was a supply chain supply issue or a factory order mistake and bought the wrong form factor.
Yep agreed! No issues after changing it out.
I like details, seems to me it's a major fuse and should have the rubber boot fit for dirt water etc....... Thanks I will keep my eyes open
Agree, others are reporting finding the low profile fuse installed so really not sure how many have the taller version. Appreciate the support!
I also have the short fuse from the factory.
Yep good to know, seemed really bad on HD's part so happy its not everyone!

Yep as it should be! I have seen photos of some variances with these new bikes.
You seem to know the bike. My carplay just stop working and the bike doesnt even give the option to connect car play.
