    Nothing like 4k quality to see all my flaws ha ha. "Do what I say not what I do" 😂
    Thanks for meeting up with me! It was a grueling 5h of practice but a ton of fun!
    See you in 5 years!

      To be honest, I had no idea it was 5 hours. I feel like I should apologize deeply. I'm totally embarassed - next time we should set a time limit - but I was greedy of all the knowledge and skill I was taking in. It truly was transformational! Thank you so much!
      And yeah, I can't believe you played like this in the video. I mean, what were you thinking?! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

      @BenSucksAtPingPong no no, it was a great time though you could not imagine the terror I felt when I finally got to sit down and you suggested one last game lol.
      We have to make use of the time we have!
      You're a beast though! Didn't seem to be tired at all 😁

      Yeah, I was a little tired, for sure, felt it when I got back to my parents' place.
      I really could play all day if I wanted to.
      I made a remark to my family, I said: "Professionals, who do this as a job, do this for that long every day. No wonder they are that good."
      In another universe I make a modest sum of money as a professional.

      It was really nice! Lots of tables, maybe needed some more partitions, but it was a reasonable cost for a daily pass and had some great amenities! From what I was told, there are times it is difficult to get a table.

    LT (as will call him) looks like a backhand oriented player. Solid play based on pendulum serve plus backhand attack. On forehand mostly heavy pushes.
    Comparatively I think I'm less comfortable on backhand but definitely more aggressive on forehand, looping everything that's long or high.
    As for yourself, couple of good bh attacks yourself and overall consistency. I'm curious about the training!

      I'll post all the footage I have, but I'll break it out into 'topic': forehands, backhands, underspin reversals, short attacks, spin quality, serves, etc.
      Still going over the footage.

    • @lt.kettch
      @lt.kettch 14 днів тому +1

      @@knotwilg3596 to be honest, I think I'm more inclined towards forehand like you but I'm recovering from an injury on my right knee so my footwork isn't so great (as you could see from the fail-pivots I tried to do 😅) so I tried to stay closer to the table.
      Ben played very well and wrecked me with rocket backhands. I was both proud and humbled ha ha
      I was especially impressed by how quickly he was able to make adjustments and implement suggestions during our training time.
      I forgot to practice short and long pushes with him though 🤦

    What an awesome opportunity! Did the elevation difference affect your gameplay, or was it minimal? Honestly, I expected LT to play a bit more aggressively, but if neither of you were warmed up that makes sense.

    • @BenSucksAtPingPong
      @BenSucksAtPingPong  14 днів тому

      YES! I was actually surprised at first how much it affected me - especially in serves. At first I thought it was the table, but then it clicked - I was putting a lot more in the net and the ball just wasn't travelling 'as high.' The higher atmopheric pressure definitely did affect my gameplay very much.
      It also affected me in another way - my endurance. I played for nearly SIX HOURS and didn't even get very tired. My lungs felt amazing. I'm sure if I was at sea level and then went up to 4500' elevation I'd be gassed in maybe half that time - but I felt like I could run a marathon and a half.

      @@Ericratz0014 Dang. Sorry to disappoint 😬
      You're right! Normally, I'm more aggressive but it's a bit risky when jumping into a game cold, especially vs a new opponent.
      Not sure if I was very aggressive in the second match either... I shouldn't have sat down, it was so hard to hoist myself up 😂
