They really did a fantastic job with this model. They took the design issues from the first one and made an incredible 390 size helicopter! Can’t wait for the RS7!
Hey Jeff., Just curious about the flight goosky gts + vs ikon 2 flight controllers I’m back from a long break, from rc helis. Is there a noticeable feel ,flight performance between these two On the venom. Thanks
Great flying man! Ive been learning helis and am confident enough after my goosky s2, to bump up to a bigger heli. I putting everything in the cart and cant decide in brushless or coreless torq servos. I saw in your build vid that you used the coreless. Whats you opinion on when to pony up fore the brushless ones. I was figuring the durability would be better if i plan on flying every day. Thanks for the simple and entertaining content
I’m glad you enjoy the videos! Thank you for watching. Yes, I use the cordless Torq servos on pretty much all my builds. So I personally don’t notice any difference between the cordless and brushless. Some of my helis with cordless have 1000 plus flights. Brushless definitely make more power and Torq and run cooler but on something like the venom and micro servos I don’t see the reason for brushless.
am using ikon2 and hobbywing 60amp v4 platinum what setting you using for the gov mainly timing for the venom any other key setting for gov store. Thankyou for everything A+
So the biggest improvement is the servo layout. The venom has a more traditional servo layout in geometry. Helps with smooth of movement and mechanical advantage of the servos and linkages. But the biggest thing that makes it fly better then the RS4 PNP is the iKon!
I use normal mode on all my helicopters. My normal mode is still setup like stunt 1 and 2 with flat throttle curve, linear positive/negative pitch curve. Tc usually between 55 and 60% for low headspeed 3d.
@@kingtriton7202there is one, I must have missed it, but here is a link. Main difference is the RS4 is more plug and play, and the Venom is aimed more at the enthusiasts who wants to choose their own radio gear ua-cam.com/video/-QR7JapMNC4/v-deo.htmlsi=mFsjh4bsP8c9zdpm
This will be my next helicopter. PS. @Jeff have you tested inverted loops at full collective and full elevator on the S1 and S2 and experienced tail blow out yet?
You will be very happy with it! Such a fantastic flying helicopter. I have not, been super busy with bills and work, but I am going flying this weekend so I will definitely test it!
No, because it does not change my opinion or how I feel on a model. If it’s good it’s good. If it sucks or something is wrong with it I will say that too.
Another crazy fun flight. She looked great on the air. 👍🏻
Thank you! I hope all is well!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Have a cold, but all good brother 👊🏻
Another great flight! Good job Jeff!! Making it difficult to choose between this and the raw 420 lol!
Man that’s a hard decision! I LOVE my RAW 420 so much I’m building a second one! But the RS4 venom is super light and better power to weight ratio!
Wow what a fab display of 3D flying 😊
Thank you!!
1:56 what is this loop type maneuver called and how do you execute it?

Try the synergy solid head dampers, stiffens up the head. Huge improvement.
I’ve got them in my other RS4, they work great. But the new Goosky head dampeners are great too.
Ouch that tree comment hit my soul, I put my specter v2 into a tree a couple days ago.
That's the worst, it's so damn expensive to fix 700s too. I set up my Ikon wrong and it slammed itself into the ground and I was out $400 to fix it 😂
I’m at 250 now but I had spare blades and I haven’t ordered a canopy yet
I’ve definitely hit trees before too lol never a good day when you put a helicopter into a tree or into the ground!
man the rs4 venom is stupidly powerful and durable. i don't understand how goosky managed to make such a good model like this
They really did a fantastic job with this model. They took the design issues from the first one and made an incredible 390 size helicopter! Can’t wait for the RS7!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 same! But first I'm getting the RS4 and hopefully will be able to eventually get an RS7 if it's as good as the RS4.

On the venom.
Thanks
It’s gonna be awesome when they get the rs7 to market
Yes it is! I can’t wait!
do you remember what you changed on the ikon? mine doesn't seem as locked in..
Nothing crazy my normal settings I put into every iKon. pitch lightning faster Servo rate, higher P and I gain on cyclic.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 thanks I may need to play with the cyclic gains, I get a bobble when doing tic tocs

How much expo do you use on the cyclic?
I don’t run any expo, I speed up my rotation rate. I like them fast.
I really like my original RS4, ( not a Viper) does the higher performance electronics over the stock Goosky add to how much better it flies?

Do you use normal mode? I wonder if it's useful at all?
I only use normal mode for hovering or taking off. Other then that I’m in Idle 1 or 2

What is the difference between the RS4 and RS4 Venom?
Dunno if you done a video on this and I’ve missed it?
Great flying as per usual 😊
Thank you! Yes, I have a full video comparing both of them and what the difference is between the two.
@@westhobbiesrc8051ah must have missed that one!! I’ll go find it haha
I would like to see a comparison as well. I’m saving for the venom

@@westhobbiesrc8051 maniaX 1800 6S. RPM not sure
Would you say this heli has more power than a RAW 420? It seems like it's ripping really hard. I know it's definitely lighter than the 420
It’s definitely got a better power to weight ratio mainly because it is so much lighter. It’s a few hundred grams which is a massive difference.
Sus as you fly for Goosky, should you not mention that ?
