I am actually a professional audio guy and I have been delving in the video for the bath last year. I think your channel is spectacular and I really appreciate your content. Please keep it up this is becoming one of my favorite channels
Was floored by the first minute, so I moved over to Vimeo to see a higher quality upload. Really amazing stuff, the fact that this was Prores LT blows my mind
It is somewhat sad to see some channels become the hub for questions about gear, cameras and lenses used rather than questions about content. This was great imagery Flo, from beginning to end. Thank you for taking us along on this gorgeous peaceful journey.
I just spent the whole of my lunch break watching your videos and I cannot wait to get home from work to keep watching. Hope your days are going well, wish you were in Sydney still so I could meet you both.
Beautiful shots ands imagenes. You have a really sense of rithm and emotion. Seeing this video was a pleasant "trip", almost like beeing there. Good job and keep going!
Great videos. Yours are especially relevant since I am booked for an Aurora Antarctic expedition in March 2022 on the sister ship, the Sylvia Earle. Your videos provide a great sense of Antarctica in March-April and what I can expect in terms of weather, wildlife and "light" - given I'll be there are sunrises and sunsets. Equally revealing are the rooms on the ship -- your room seemed very nice, spacious, well appointed! Thanks goodness. Again, your videos are amazing - thank you!
Thanks so much !! Lucky you haha, I’d love to experience it again onboard of the SE, maybe as a passenger this time too :). The ship was amazing and our week down there an incredible experience :). Cheers
Gorgeous! And you have the best comment sections. So much positivity... My question is, who are the 10 downvotes? I mean, what kind of a person downvotes something so beautiful?
This was amazing. I loved the blend of music and natural sounds, and the coloring was awesome. Some of those shots I had to watch a second time to pause and look at for a bit because they looked so good
Absolutely stunning. The beginning sequence with the waves was mesmerizing, then the landscapes of the glaciers at the beginning and end with the pink skies, just incredible. Amazing man!
Hello, your works are great, nice done. I'm wondering how you deal with Bmbpcc4/6k power when you're travelling? considering the built in lp-6 batteries are very short for this camera
Thanks !! I only use internal canon batteries when travelling. People seem to complain a lot but its actually pretty good. I get 40min per battery and use 3-4 a day. For Antarctica though this was a job so I used the Core SWX and had 2.5 hrs each charge :).
@@OfTwoLands nice to hear that! I'm actually using np-970 but make the set up too bulky to bring on travel. I tried an lp-6 from an old 5D mkII and seemed very short (less than 40 minutes for sure), but it is probably old, what batteries brand do you recommend?
On the 6K always Prores, on the 6K Pro RAW because I prefer to revert to Gen4 :). Prores usually 422 or LT like Antarctica where I had to save space. For RAW Q5 :0.
@@OfTwoLands Thanks for the reply! I absolutely love your content and have learned so much about the BMPCC 6k Pro thanks to your channel. Any particular reason you primarily shoot ProRes on the 6K? Is it mostly to save space? I was thinking of shooting BRAW in CQ5 for the travel/landscape content I'm planning on shooting because I've heard that ProRes is a bit harder to color grade and can result in certain odd artifacts in the footage. Have you had this experience with ProRes? Thanks!
First of all, this is incredible. I couldn’t look away. But I also keep coming back to the music. I noticed you use Artlist, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t find the track you used in the intro. Do you (or anyone else reading this) know where I can find it? Again, wonderful work. I love seeing the images you create.
Thank you !! I actually like it, really used to it as well. Not as smooth and precise as manual lenses of course but pretty good and having autofocus capabilities is nice too.
Welp... And just like that you’ve inspired a new dream of mine lol Beautiful shots! The pink and blue combination is just too perfect! Who knew that a place so cold and white could be so vibrant??
Haha I do put black bars sometimes but for Antarctica it doesn't suit. That place is so huge and incredible that I didn't feel it worked :). There is no black bars in camera.
Gorgeous video, I got chills watching it from the awe, emotions, and the icy images. Your channel was one that inspired me to buy a bmpcc and I’ll probably get a wandrd prvk backpack because of you too. And that manfrotto fluid head too! Haha and probably Filmic Convert. One question, how did you stabilize the images? We’re you using a travel tripod from one of your linked kits in the description on the boat or did you stabilize in post? What do you think about the peak design travel tripod, or will that be another product review video? 😏Thanks for inspiring!
Thanks a lot !! Haha happy to help :). I stabilised a few shots in FCPX but that's about it. I shot all handheld :). I didn't have the time to carry and setup a tripod but I would have liked to have it for a few shots. I brought both my manfrotto and Benro. Cheers and thanks for the support :) !!
Of Two Lands ah! Shooting at a high frame rate makes stabilization less of an issue as all those frames make the shake more fluid and less noticeable. Thanks for the applied lesson!
Antarctica, the most incredible place I got to visit and a trip I will never forget.
Is it on your list?
Cheers,
Flo
It is now!
Absolutely! It's 5 year that I wonder how to go there
@@Aaron_Smith_OM :)

For internal ones use genuine Canon only.
Great video! How did you plan your itinerary? Did you do a tour through a travel agency or arrange it yourself?
Thanks!! I was there for work and was covering one of the voyages offered by the expedition company so the trip was planned out :)
Hi! Lovely work. What do you use to stabilized handheld shots? Any gimbal or shoulder or sadle bags? Thanks!
Thanks !! Nothing actually haha, just my hands :).
@@OfTwoLands thanks! Do you use any stabilizers in the pocket 6k for other kinds of jobs? Thanks!
clean af!!!!!!! good work

Legendary!
Antoine Paquette Thank you !!

No lut, graded from scratch with Filmconvert :). Link in the description.
Breathtaking!! Penguins are so cute by the way!
Haha thanks guys, they really are !! 😍

Beautiful video as usual! How do you find the manual focusing on the canon lenses? Confident and predictable?
Thank you !! I actually like it, really used to it as well. Not as smooth and precise as manual lenses of course but pretty good and having autofocus capabilities is nice too.
great video! how did you capture the audio? or was it placed in post?
Thanks !! It was a mix of both :). I used the Rode NTG videomic on camera.
Wow Flo, such an amazing video!
Any tips how to expose properly when there is so much snow reflecting the light?
Thanks so much !! I tend to follow the histogram and make sure not to clip anything.
I exposed for the highlights mainly and use an ND each time :).
Awesome video Florent!
