Brilliant Mike, always thought March is such an interesting station, with so much character, with the signal box and level crossing too. Got everything for a railway enthusiast to enjoy, Nice work. Your ending made me smile too :-)
What a great video Mike in lovely weather. It's a very photogenic location I find with lots of old railway infrastructure still present and most amazingly being used. Loved the shots from the Up Yard which of course you know is where we maintain our wagon fleet. Great stuff. ATB. Ben
Good morning Mike.... It's been a long time since I last messaged you and I'm so so sorry... Let's just say that I've been really poorly... I've seen a lot of your videos, but in my opinion, this has to be probably one of the best... Why?... I've always have fond memories of March, it reminds me of Shrewsbury, by which, it seems to be stuck in a timewarp relating to the architecture of the buildings, the old signal box, the track layout, the design of the station... Everything about it just takes me back to when I used to go there spotting in my teens..... I thank you so so much for posting such a wonderful, exciting video.... Next time you go there, would you do me the honor of panning your cameras around so I can see the station buildings, signal box etc..... You are so kind Mike and thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding... With the most kindest regards from Nige... I must go because I have a tear in my eye because I feel so guilty that I haven't been in touch with you for a long time..
Hello Nigel. I was only thinking about you last Monday that I hadn't seen your name for a long time. Its amazing you are contacting me again which is great, but I'm sorry you haven't been very well Nigel but good you are now on the mend. So you spend sometime in March then years ago, I too have good memories of the days I used to go round the depot when on the weekend there would be loads of locos there of all different class's. Keep well and ATB Mike.
Thank you, always interesting, good photography, a well sighted views. Many thanks. May be a simple route map, indicating the importance of March. Thanks Patrick
@@antman09ful1 the idea of the route map, was how the permanent way merged at March, so those like me, would be able to understand the importance of this donation/ yard!!
Great freights there Mike, lots of containers going through. Also interesting to see them using that 66 to shunt which surely must be a bit difficult but they do well. It'd be interesting if they had to have a path and headcode for the North Yard to Whitemoor. Have a great day, Edward.
Many thanks Edward for your continued interest in my videos which is very much appreciated, yes it was a very good few hours for me. There is no headcode for the movements of wagons from north yard to Whitemoor and that is info from my mate who works for the company. Thanks again for watching, Mike.
Yeah Bryan them were brilliant days when you could get round March depot with no problems, how things have changes, but not the station apart from it has some nice new toilets now. Cheers Mike.
Amazing video Mike!! Brilliant vantage point on the footbridge there love the shots of the trains coming from the curve and down the straight like something out of formula 1!!! Lovely shots of some yard shunting as well and brilliant loco variety!!
Pleased you notice that shot Jacob, because I too was pleased that I didn't mess it up as I was zooming a long way. It was good that there were some locos in the yard which I haven't seen for years. ATB Mike.
Cracking video there Mike, glad to see you had better luck with the weather & traffic than I did in August.Such a lovely well kept station to film from as well with the added bonus of a Spoons in walking distance😎👍🏼I will return in 2023.Cheers Dave
Thanks Dave, I loved visiting the depot there in the 70s and 80s when there would be loads of locos to see. I did do the spoons there with the wife on the way back from a holiday once, it being a old cinema. See you next mouth. Mike.
Cracking shots and captures there Mike! Wow! Splendid sounds and location! Glad you caught this! Brilliant action and variety! A perfect example of why I recommend your excellent channel! Great stuff! Top class! No faults at all! Well done! Great work! A winner! The perfect vid! Highly enjoyable stuff! You did well there! Excellent detailing and camera work! Nice shunting in March Down Yard, and departure from the duo! Another fantastic one from you! Looks like it was a good day for the action too! Very nice indeed! Loooooooooooooooooooooved it! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Take care, have an awesome day and all the best! Jamie
Great video, seems to me they need a small shunter at March, that 66 is a big loco to be doing tight shutter work, not least the time spent cab switching.
Brilliant Mike, always thought March is such an interesting station, with so much character, with the signal box and level crossing too. Got everything for a railway enthusiast to enjoy, Nice work. Your ending made me smile too :-)
