    2 years ago, I had a back surgery and the recovery was hell. I was pretty much home bound and through the northeast cold gloomy winter, I passed time as I was laying and recovering. I was able to travel to places through your lenses when my body could not move much. For that, thank you!

    I know this was an older video but it was very helpful to me. I’m wanting to visit some of those areas but some I won’t be able to see up close. I have mobility issues and can’t walk real far or climb. I appreciate you taking your camera along on tours that involve all of the places I’ll not be able to reach. Helps feel like I’ve been there.
    There were a few places I had been when younger and in great shape so was good to see that again.
    You must go see the amphitheater that you didn’t get chance to do in this video. You may have done it since 2014 when this was made. My family as a kid we went there. My dad went to the stage area and yelled up at us. We could hear him well. It’s acoustics are amazing!
    Thank you for taking us along on your journeys. So love them.

    For most Europeans a trip to the USA is impossible (like me). This is why your road movies mean a lot to me !

    • @TravelingRobert
      @TravelingRobert  9 років тому +4

      +Mandy van Dijk I wouldn't say impossible, but I am glad you liked it. We saw many Europeans, mainly Germans when we were exploring this area.

    • @mandyvandijk8267
      @mandyvandijk8267 9 років тому +2

      +TravelingRobert Those Europeans have money. Here is a growing group that struggle to pay rent, health insurance, energy bill. I have to go to foodbank myself. If I save something. It will go to the city tax. We call it surviving. I dream of Florida everyday, but I do not want to go there if it will be just for once in a life time. Then I rather help people that are more poor than me or buy something important that will last for many years. Now I go sew my 3 years old outdoor pants, which I used for work!

    Hello Robert, I was watching some historical war videos on Vietnam and I suddenly got depressed by the scene that I had to find your channel to breath some fresh feelings. And refreshing it was by the charm and adventurous travels that you have recorded in all of your videos and boy it suddenly lifted the mood to another level. It is always refreshing to go to your channel. Do continue to bring the wanders of travel and exploration. Thank you again. Cheers.

      @ The Notorious... when I was young I had what people called itchy feet... I loved to travel and see all that I could. The only states that I haven't been in are Idaho, Oregon and Washington... but I have plans to visit friends in Seattle Washington this coming summer.
      I've been to many places in Canada and Mexico as well and traveled all through the Great Lakes.
      All I can say is... do this why you're still young and have the energy to do it... I guarantee you won't be sorry you did but will be sorry if you don't.

My wife and I have spent a lot of vacation time over the last 20 years on the Colorado Plateau and while there are so many different places to visit, I'd be hard pressed to come up with any better selection of things to see in 7 days. You included some real, out-of-the-way gems like Utah Highway 128, the Goosenecks of the San Juan, and Goblin Valley. Driving Loveland pass in an RV and Mt. Evans in any kind of vehicle took intestinal fortitude! Great views of places around Denver as well. You had to have put in some really long days! I'm checking out your travel to the Northeast next!

    Robert,
    I tell everybody that, if each of us takes a driving trip per year from Denver to CA and back, every damn shrink in our country would have to look for a real job.

    Your videos are fabulous. You certainly have traveled this wonderful country. From one end the other, up-and-down, back-and-forth and all around again. Just once though, I would love to follow you on one of your trips when you weren’t always up against time. Your videos, you’re editing and your narrations are always first class. I always dreamed of making those trips, when I was younger, and then finally I reach retirement. I sold my house, rid myself of all responsibilities and off I went. My trips out west when I visited California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon were the trips of my life. Oh, there is so much more that I want to go back and see, but here I am confined to a wheel chair and it’s extremely difficult to make those trips now. But hey, I have “Traveling Robert” to show me the way. Thank you Robert you’re my hero. As Chad of “Living the Van Life” continues to say, “Keep on Trucking”. 👍🏻
