I just received my garmin r10. I am very happy with it so far. The accuracy at the range is very good. The set up was super easy which I personally think is important especially for those of us who went to school in the previous century. I was able to quickly download and play a round at the course I played as a kid. The video swing capture feature seems pretty much flawless. Battery life is great. It comes in a very nice case that fits right in my bag. I've used it on my outdoor net...seems fine. I would recommend this device to anyone who is looking to improve their game. I wasn't "shocked " to see my swing, it wasn't that bad lol. I spend a lot of time at the course and I see bad swings on the range ALL THE TIME...like 1 in 5 is decent. But seeing my swing matched up with the club/ball data is priceless! And yes I do come over the top too much still, and the garmin r10 data agrees. At some point the super fine accuracy that we'd all like isn't nearly as important as the fundamental question of what am I doing right/wrong. I'm a 12 handicap now. I bet next year I am down to 8 based on the things I see that I know I can correct. Thanks Gabe! I pre ordered this based on your review. It works just like you described. Keep up the great videos.
First of all, I truly enjoy your channel - just a good overall vibe. When everything went on lockdown last year, I bought a 10x7 net and cheap mat on Amazon. I still haven’t been back to the range! I SO wanted the R10, as I’m a Garmin fan and have the S62, so it would have been nice to keep everything in the same family. But a minimum of 8’ from ball to net, with recommendations of 10’+ just wouldn’t work for me. I’d sail anything 9+ over the net, so I went with SkyTrak. I just wish it included the limited E6 subscription like Garmin and other Doppler units. 5 or 6 free courses would be plenty, but now I’m stuck trying to decide on a sim package, which will cost another $200-$600 per year. Hard to swallow after shelling out more than $2k for SkyTrak. One minor issue with your review, as well as most other launch monitor reviews: almost all evaluate either an indoor setup or outdoor at the range. Very few evaluate an outdoor net setup. (I did see one of your reviews of the Garmin hitting into the same net I have, but like me, you were concerned about hitting over the net.) I have to believe that not many people truly have an extra living room sized room available to dedicate to golf. If they do, they’re probably single or soon will be. SkyTrak works great outdoors. I haven’t had any issues, even in direct sunlight, although sometimes the laser dot is a little hard to see. And it doesn’t require anywhere near the space that Doppler units do, even ignoring the space needed behind the hitting area. As long as I have enough space between my ball and the net to swing my club, SkyTrak works. For my 60°, that can be just a little over 3’, allowing me to hit really high flop shots. For anyone who uses a hitting net outdoors and doesn’t want to have to worry about skying balls into the neighbor’s yard, SkyTrak seems to be the only “affordable” option for now.
I purchased a manufactured net, classic 10x7. First swing in the yard.(went with driver to keep it low.) I have no idea where that ball ended up. The next neighborhood over for certain. That ball was easily 5 feet over the net when hit from the recommended distance from the monitor. That's the only set back with ANY launch monitor set up behind the tee. If I had a garage, I'd probably hit wedges through the ceiling and into the attic. Guess I need to purchase a mesh tarp to drape over the top to prevent breaking neighbors windshields. Have to step back and rethink this shit. Getting more expensive every day. Bummer For many out there thinking outdoor net, don't bother with store bought unless it's totally covered on top and sides or you hit the ball super low. I've tried Spornia ,neighbor has one, and it was no better, even with the roof attachment. (at least for me) Just buy a Harbor freight mesh tarp and fabricate a frame from PVC or wood to drape the tarp over 10x20 works quite well, 20x40 is better, you can double it over, but that can get heavy. I really like the set up of SkyTrak...... but I have only outdoors to swing and it was not recommended for outdoor use. That would have solved my net issue but I felt Garmin R10 was best for what I want..... so Garmin it is.
Nice job, Gabe. For those wanting to know the specific accuracy comparison (amount of difference on similar shots) and why, I'd suggest listening to the My Golf Spy reviews of both of these devices. They went very in-depth on how each works. I've had a SkyTrak since the early days of its release. I use it in my garage setup and it works great, especially on irons. It tends to struggle as swing speed/ball speed goes up. TXG also found this that it is very accurate until you get to the top end of the swing speed range. I still love it for working on my irons and wedges and the occasional driver for shot shape (I ignore the carry numbers mostly).
i got to tell ya. I have been going back and forth for a long time as to what to do and i think i have finally decided, thanks to this video. Good stuff, thank you sir! I have r10 coming and will use and test it, but i will likely be going to the skytrak setup for the home sim experience and accuracy.
I've emailed Garmin about an update to include a "landscape" orientation, rather than "portrait" mode. Also, I project my R10 using a cable from my phone to the projector, and they are fairly cheap in price.
It is worth noting that if you are set up indoors in a garage, the R10 will have some challenges. Interference with the Doppler can come from fans, lights, refrigerator motors, concrete floors, and metal objects. I had the R10 and had to return it because an industrial fan is a must here in Florida. I got terrible numbers from the unit with the fan running.
Update:. I purchased a Skytrak and it is perfect for indoor use. If indoor use is the primary goal, I highly recommend an optical based unit. Without 15 feet of ball flight and 8 feet behind the ball, radar will be less accurate. Skytrak is the most affordable of the optical units. The new Bushnell is going to be heavy competition.
Awesome, Christopher. Thanks so much for joining the channel. If you have any other questions I can answer feel free to reach out. I'll be doing a full simulator room build series coming soon too.
Great review. I owned a Skytrak and sold it after a few years. The unit is only part of the price. Then the courses really blow the price up. WGT was total crap and the other software can get into the thousand dollar range. And every year you have to re-subscribe to keep your unit working. I had to do a zero dollar subscription as I was only interested in the range. And to avoid yearly charges I didnt even get the full range features. Research all the charges Skytrak will incur before considering it.

Thank you for the review! Price is a big factor for me, so the R10 would be perfect. Obviously if you had thousands of dollars to spend you will find better products, but for the average “Joe” the Garmin seems to check all the boxes. Have a great day. (Maybe I can get my wife to buy me a special 50th birthday gift in a few months! Lol)
Have had a mevo plus for 6 months. Did not play a round outside for the last 2 years. Went out a couple weeks ago and played the most consistent golf I have played in years. The mevo plus has been a great tool with e6 connect and all the courses it offers with realistic ball play. Ya, you don’t get the realistic lies but you begin to hit the ball consistently solid while your smash factor keeps increasing. I’m sure these will also work. If you want to get better with golf you have to hit, if any of these gadgets will make you hit more, then you will get better.
@@LetsPlayThru I was on the fence for about 2 years with setting up a sim in the basement. I researched for a good 6 months and watched hours of videos with types of sim. I had plenty of space so I went mevo plus also I could use my iPad Pro and didn’t have to buy a gaming laptop. So that saved some money as well. Bought a Ben q short throw projector, couldn’t be happier with the graphics from the iPad.

The 3.6 update has really improved this. 3 updates to the device already. Good to see they are developing and supporting it fast. Much like the Mevo+ at launch. Good but improving with the updates. I found the last really corrected my 1W and 3W distances a lot.
Great video and review..Always to the point and in deep...Does this Garmin R 10 work with a I Pad or do you need a I phone??? I have a I pad but still use the old tried and true flip top phone...Thanks Gabe....
Since I just dropped the dime for a Garmin R10 which will be here tomorrow and partly due to your previous reviews, I am going to hold off watching this video so I don't have buyer's regret before I even get a chance to try it out. I'll just go with what you noted in earlier videos !!! Just following up since I got my Garmin and had some time to use it. I think there was one pretty big software update since you made this review so not sure if that would change anything. I was able to do some screen mirroring with my unit which took some time to work out, but it worked pretty well. While I have not confirmed it yet, it appears if you use the E6 Connect on a laptop, you can get landscape mode - or at least that is what I have seen on other reviews. For me personally I got the Garmin as in interim step to getting a GC Quad and building a full simulator setup so it made sense to get the budget model for now while I save some cash. Your review is spot on for the most part and should help others make a decision that works for them.
for the GR10 does the tripod need to be placed at the same level as the mat or does the actual gadget needs to be placed at least at the same level as the mat?
Nice job thanks. I'm wondering if your flattish and I-O swing path is making the R10 more accurate since there seem to be some problems (more indoors but also outdoors in some cases) with O-I swings from what I've seen and spin axis and ultimate finishing point. The question still seems to be an open one at this juncture. Also, handedness then comes into play since I'm a lefty and would these issues be reversed from that side of the ball? You also didn't mention the swing recording (and also potential analysis) capability of the R10 which I find moderately intriguing and which I believe is another advantage over Skytrak.
I agree the biggest difference between the 2 is the skytraks spin accuracy. The Garmin only directly measures 4 things to the skytraks 6. Most people will find a better value with the garmin, but people who want another notch better accuracy and putting to get an immersive sim experience should go with the skytrak.
Great review and guidance here, Gabe. I also love your net setup here. It looks like you can put it up and take it down easily? I guess you never hit one off the hosel either?
I have the R10 in the garden with a net....I have found the path angle vary quite a bit, after investigation I found the device was not level on the uneven lawn. So after levelling it out it became a lot more accurate...think as its a tiny solid device it's still super sensitive inside...more time on initial setup the better the results
Got my R10 on Monday and it works well for me. Only disappointment is that the newer version of Garmin Golf required for the R10 cannot be installed on Android Tablets therefore I am stuck using it on my phone instead of my larger tablet. I have a Samsung Tab A7 and only Garmin Golf 1.5.1 is available. Any word on future compatibility with Android tablets? My phone has Garmin Golf version 2.0.3 but this isn't available for my tablet.
Maybe, but prob the regular Mevo is the most apples to apples since they sit in the same price point basically. I have actually put it head to head and I would take the Garmin personally and save the $1400.
Loving the Garmin R10 - and really all your - videos. Was your give-away given away? I don't remember hearing it in a video, but maybe I'm losing it? Anyway, please keep the great content coming. Cheers!
Have the R10 for a week now, had issues with swing path and rang the garmin help line and they sent me a programe on my laptop to update the software which fixed any little quirks and is now a tool I wish I had from the beginning... wow how it's made a difference for me in such a short period of time...
@@LetsPlayThru thank you sir. Your videos are really helping make the decision on what launch monitor/ golf simulator I want to get for my basement and garage.
Great comparison on these 2 devices, Gabe! I would love to get my hands on a Skytrak and build a setup in my garage. How long is the battery life on both these devices and will they work while they are plugged in?
Question for ya, I am 6' and have 9' ceiling for my hitting area. Would you assume I would only be able to hit irons in that space or would I be able to swing driver? Gut response.
Oof, that’s right on the edge depending on how steep your swing plane is. I’m going to err on the side of caution and say it’s probably not quite enough.
@@LetsPlayThru Thank you so much for your response. I am iffy with the idea too but def see plenty of iron work can be done on a simulator setup in that area.
@@mdamiano88 Ya, I do not have an Ipad but this is making me get one. Just wish E6 was on Android too. I would rather spend the $$ on the full annual E6 subscription and not on the Ipad. But looks like I may have too. Hoping the new basic Ipad can run it smoothly so I can not spend as much.
@@LetsPlayThru I believe there has been a recent software update which may also improve indoor results and I look forward to your future reviews of the r10 as I expect to buy one as soon as new shipments arrive in Australia.
I have seen the awesome golf app and it looks like you can have landscape view in that app. I was wondering if the data was more accurate. I have tried the r10 indoor only and I think my carry was consistent at 10 yds short of actual.
It sounds like the Garmin for me. I don't have room for the indoor simulator (unless I move out my vintage 1962 Thunderbird, which I won't do) and spend more time outside anyways. I think I will still wait a few months to see if the Garmin R10 'matures' as far as the software goes.
You need to give me the brain back…I was just starting to look into this today!! WOW! Great comparo…I’d reallllly love to get the Garmin R10 due to the price savings, and all the club data it provides. HOWEVER, I’ve noticed from all the reviews I’ve watched that the club data is not even close to being accurate. Seems if you are in inside out swinger it is really inaccurate….hmm…I may have to get one and do my own testing…if I can find one. Not sold on the home town sim…looks like 8 bit graphics…not a seller for me. I’m currently testing out the Mevo. It’s good so far. What I’m really finding out though is no matter how much you spend on these launch monitors, if you’re using them at the range, you’re limited by the quality of the crappy & inconsistent balls there…so, in the end, not sure any of these are worth it since you’ll never get consistently accurate data due to the lowest common denominator…the balls! But, if you’re setting up to play more indoor/at home, you can control that aspect…I may have to do that if I get one of these, but don’t really have the room indoors…
I found it to be pretty good. Not perfect but for the price point I think it’s really good. I get what you’re saying about the graphics. The nice thing is that it renders quickly. So the sacrifice of the Hi-Res can be justified in a way.
had a garmin r10 and sold it after a week, it is just too sensitive for the setup and when you are using indoor, you will most likely get unrealistic data due to radar disruptions; and the R10 needs a LOT of room for getting accurate data; at least 16 feet;
I just wish the Skytrak had better software. We bought one last year during Covid and our only complaint is that the software looks and feels like it's from 2010.
the R10 is my choice - my back yard 10'x10'x10' net enclosure is ready and waiting and waiting and waiting for the R10 to be available - I am now hearing December for sure, maybe....
I have used R10 for the past 5 weeks, it has plenty of errors, such as back spin, club speed and even direction of ball travel. I have contacted the Garmin, but despite numerous emails😁, they have done nothing about it and can not solve it.
@@LetsPlayThru 100% it's over 3000USD and needs software subscription to access simulation. The preliminary numbers we got from the Canadian rep were around 9100CAD before taxes and shipping, with no option to buy without FSX or club data enabled.
Garmin R10 is woefully inaccurate and extremely finicky. You literally need an absolutely empty room if you have any chance of accuracy indoors. Home tee hero is ridiculously cartoonish too. There is no feel at all like you are at the real course.
I’ve owned an R10 for a few weeks and compared data to a trackman. The R10 isn’t very accurate and sometimes shows silly numbers. Also the radar tracking isn’t great either . Often times I hit a cut shot and the R10 shows a draw shot. Buyer beware. Maybe Garmin will fix issues with a future firmware update. But as of now it’s a paperweight to me.
I was really hoping to see Android compatibility covered. I've seen a lot of data to indicate the skytrak does not work with Android and I hate apple products and the fact that they are made in China so I'm really looking for an Android solution. I already have a tablet. Did you use it on Android by chance?
I’m curious to know for any of these devices if there is a feel for at what point it becomes useful for a new golfer. I’m new and score between 110-120. When considering purchasing this, the reluctance is that I think that this device effectively will just confirm that I have no consistency whatsoever. My instinct is that this device is useful for someone who is relatively consistent. Basically I don’t want to pay $600 for something that sits there and says, “Yeah, you suck.”
That’s a great question. I think it works well for practice purposes. Especially if you live in a cold environment. You’ll gain the consistency a little bit quicker over the winter.
So in summary.... if one can afford the Skytrak.... then get it over the Garmin? If you are on a budget, then the Garmin is a worthy device. I have saved up money where I could indeed purchase the Skytrak. I really haven't pushed forward on it I guess because I need to realize that once I get it, I have to really take that purchase seriously as it is a 2000 dollar purchase. That is, practice everyday.
Skytrak is useless outdoors … unless at night time with a light above it , it’s why I would not go for it cause you can’t use it at the range during the day at all the sun renders it useless If I was going for $3-4k in Australia (which is what skytrak costs) I’d go Mevo+ for sure
I bought the Garmin. I mirror to a TV. The biggest selling point for me was playing with visiting friends. The skytrak is so close to the ball, it wouldn't be too long before someone hit/damaged it. The r10 is safe behind the player.
Skylark any day. Garmin is accurate, but doesn’t detect swing half the time whenever used indoors. Imagine to make one shot, you have to make 2-3 shots. It’s a pretty lousy product, no idea how the hype picked up.
@@LetsPlayThru yep I got mine last week. Followed the instruction, lined up approximately straight, 6-8ft from the ball. Like you said in one of the videos, I have to look back at the green dot before the shot, and can’t waggle. Even after the precautions, half the time is still undetected… I’m going to take it to the driving range tomorrow to see if it’s the indoor environment like many people had issues with. Just didn’t expect it’s that serious of issue.
Glad to hear it. For the 13 yard thing, that was likely total distance which is always a calculation with these things. I found it generally pretty close when it comes to carry distance which is really what counts. Cheers
I contacted Garmin about a landscape mode in the next update so you can Chromecast to a projector and they told me that there is a ticket open with their tech team for this feature, so let's see what happens.

Fair enough Alan! 🙌
Great video. Love that you are providing details and advice on new tech
Thanks 🙏
What net do you have for your indoor hitting
Great information and comparison! Thanks!
Glad to help
for the GR10 does the tripod need to be placed at the same level as the mat or does the actual gadget needs to be placed at least at the same level as the mat?
Nice job thanks. I'm wondering if your flattish and I-O swing path is making the R10 more accurate since there seem to be some problems (more indoors but also outdoors in some cases) with O-I swings from what I've seen and spin axis and ultimate finishing point. The question still seems to be an open one at this juncture. Also, handedness then comes into play since I'm a lefty and would these issues be reversed from that side of the ball? You also didn't mention the swing recording (and also potential analysis) capability of the R10 which I find moderately intriguing and which I believe is another advantage over Skytrak.
Can the r10 be used on a Windows (laptop) without e6?
I agree the biggest difference between the 2 is the skytraks spin accuracy. The Garmin only directly measures 4 things to the skytraks 6.
Most people will find a better value with the garmin, but people who want another notch better accuracy and putting to get an immersive sim experience should go with the skytrak.
Great review! Once the R10 is set up via your wifi, do you need to have internet connection (data) at the range or anywhere else outdoors?
Also, how about a side-by-side of the Optishot vs. Garmin?
Optishot is not very accurate, too many adjustments required.
Great review and guidance here, Gabe. I also love your net setup here. It looks like you can put it up and take it down easily? I guess you never hit one off the hosel either?
if i had the room at home, i'd probably go skytrack for a permanent setup...but i don't, so the portability of the R10 wins for me!
Would love to see you blasting balls off that camper
Did you update to 3.6 fw for the garmin for this comparison? Also, that net and screen that kept popping up in your video…where can I buy that? Thanks
Is the upgrade of the SkyTrack software
Love these comparisons
How do you setup the garmin r10 to a projector? Thinking about getting one but want it working on a projector and not just a iPhone/ipad
Connect the iPad to the projector
I have the R10 in the garden with a net....I have found the path angle vary quite a bit, after investigation I found the device was not level on the uneven lawn. So after levelling it out it became a lot more accurate...think as its a tiny solid device it's still super sensitive inside...more time on initial setup the better the results
Great point! Glad that solved your problem
Now that you can get a new Skytrak for $850-$899 I feel like a Skytrak is a no brainer, right?
Got my R10 on Monday and it works well for me. Only disappointment is that the newer version of Garmin Golf required for the R10 cannot be installed on Android Tablets therefore I am stuck using it on my phone instead of my larger tablet. I have a Samsung Tab A7 and only Garmin Golf 1.5.1 is available. Any word on future compatibility with Android tablets? My phone has Garmin Golf version 2.0.3 but this isn't available for my tablet.
Great comparison. Thanks
I def want the Garmin!!
I feel the better comparison is the R10 with the Mevo + not the skytrak. More apples to apples
Maybe, but prob the regular Mevo is the most apples to apples since they sit in the same price point basically. I have actually put it head to head and I would take the Garmin personally and save the $1400.
Hi, can you record and analyse your swing on BOTH devices?
Cheers
Andrew
the skytrak is best thing I brought during the first lockdown, can't live without it now.
You're lucky you got one. They were on back order for so long
can you have it go through a projector onto a hitting screen??? how???
Got my R10 on pre order, now for silly question time, I have also ordered a similar net that’s in the video, can you smash a driver into this?
Oh yeah!
Oh good question. What net are you using Gabe?
@@TheEugenelee13 Hi Eugeen, I popped a link in the description to it. Pretty cheap and works great.
Thank you. Great video Gabe! Wonder how the R10 accuracy compares to another dopler based tracking device like the Mevo +
It seemed to be pretty in line as far as I can see. Mevo still slightly better indoors but outside in the net virtually the same.
When will you get the new Bushnell/Foresight to demo?
I'm hoping in the next couple weeks, 🤞
@@LetsPlayThru lucky you!! Looking forward to that one as well. Hope to make a buying decision soon.
Very helpful, thanks!
Great video! What’s the net you are using? Thanks
I popped a link in the description for you
Loving the Garmin R10 - and really all your - videos. Was your give-away given away? I don't remember hearing it in a video, but maybe I'm losing it? Anyway, please keep the great content coming. Cheers!
Not yet, still time to enter
Have the R10 for a week now, had issues with swing path and rang the garmin help line and they sent me a programe on my laptop to update the software which fixed any little quirks and is now a tool I wish I had from the beginning... wow how it's made a difference for me in such a short period of time...
What’s this said program?! I am interested! New Garmin user
Thanks for the review. Garmin would be my pick.
What are your thoughts on optishot 2
I wouldn’t consider it a serious tool like the others TBH
@@LetsPlayThru thank you sir. Your videos are really helping make the decision on what launch monitor/ golf simulator I want to get for my basement and garage.
@@mikeachtereekte7910 Awesome, happy to help Mike
I read that Garmin doesn’t work well with practice net. I’m considering Rapsodo if that is the case. Your thoughts?
That would definitely not be my first choice. Here’s what I think: ua-cam.com/video/zfCUjNwchWE/v-deo.html
@@LetsPlayThru did you have problems with Garmin on a practice net?
Does outdoor with net pose same challenge as indoors to garmin?
The more ball flight it can see the better it seems. So if you can move your outdoor net on a little bit it might help.
So which is better the R10 or golf watch S62
Tools for different purposes for sure. Can I keep both 😃
Great comparison on these 2 devices, Gabe! I would love to get my hands on a Skytrak and build a setup in my garage. How long is the battery life on both these devices and will they work while they are plugged in?
They are both really good. Skytrak is around 5 hours and Garmin is almost double that
You can use the skytrak when it is on USB charge.
I realy want that new Garmin. My net is geting old so I need to replace it first but it's on my list.
Thanks for the review What is your indoor hitting net?
This one: geni.us/qP1KA
@@LetsPlayThru thanks
If I get the R10, does the E6 have a driving range feature that is included with the 5 courses?
Yes, and a bunch of practice areas for chipping and wedges.
@@tomo3920 That's a done deal then.
Just wondering if the Garmin R10 can be set up in metres instead of yards. Thank you very much.
Absolutely
@@LetsPlayThru Thank you very much for your quick response, really appreciated. You have another follower from now on. All the best.
My pleasure. 🙏
Do you think the R 10 might be more accurate if silver dots were placed on the ball like with Trackman ?
Hmm, I'm not sure. I should try it. I'll let you know if so.
For outdoor use the carry number was very accurate for me. However the spin was very low for my wedges and the side spin isn’t really spot on
Wish I could find the R10 for my son. No one has it in stock.
How does R10 work in putting with E6 connect?
It doesn't, you have to set E6 to auto gimme on green or by distance.
It sounds like the Garmin for me. I don't have room for the indoor simulator (unless I move out my vintage 1962 Thunderbird, which I won't do) and spend more time outside anyways. I think I will still wait a few months to see if the Garmin R10 'matures' as far as the software goes.
Yeah I love the mobility and ease of transfer. Comes with a nice carrying case too.
I think the software is pretty good as is. IMHO
Thanks fot the video, let me a peticion, if possible video about practice nets
So the sacrifice of the Hi-Res can be justified in a way.
had a garmin r10 and sold it after a week, it is just too sensitive for the setup and when you are using indoor, you will most likely get unrealistic data due to radar disruptions; and the R10 needs a LOT of room for getting accurate data; at least 16 feet;
Gosh I hope so. There have been so many delays. I’m still waiting on my second unit that I’m giving away to arrive
When is the give away?
Should be in the next couple of weeks or so. Just waiting on my second unit to get shipped out
@@LetsPlayThru awesome can’t wait!
i have a skytrak. you will not regret this purchase. Just go ahead and do it. seriously
Swing caddie is a better unit $400 IMHO very accurate & announces yardage, use indoor or out, hardly ever misses a shot
I have used R10 for the past 5 weeks, it has plenty of errors, such as back spin, club speed and even direction of ball travel. I have contacted the Garmin, but despite numerous emails😁, they have done nothing about it and can not solve it.
Would love to see the Bushnell compared to these two. Sky track should have used a green laser.
Me too! As soon as I can get my hands on one it will happen
Give me the Bushnell launch pro!
I bet it’s going to be great, but I also bet it’s going to be significantly more expensive than these
@@LetsPlayThru still I want to see you review one. I'll buy one!
@@jpan08 I should get one sooner than later. 🤞
@@LetsPlayThru 100% it's over 3000USD and needs software subscription to access simulation.
The preliminary numbers we got from the Canadian rep were around 9100CAD before taxes and shipping, with no option to buy without FSX or club data enabled.
@@imasspeons yikes!!
So you can basically have r10 and play like 20-30 rounds of golf or the sky trac
Did you sell yours???
I was really hoping to see Android compatibility covered. I've seen a lot of data to indicate the skytrak does not work with Android and I hate apple products and the fact that they are made in China so I'm really looking for an Android solution. I already have a tablet. Did you use it on Android by chance?
So...Rapsodo vs Garmin?
Garmin by a mile
@@LetsPlayThru I forgot that many golfers do not live on a tropical island and have to console themselves in a garage during the winter months. 😈
Why does it say paid promotion? Do you get paid by these companies?
In this video I mention our show sponsor PlayBetter.com where you can buy either of these devices. I’m not paid by any manufacturers.
I've still never played with a left hander, starting to think they don't exist.
Garmin or mevo+ with GSpro for the win!!
Mevo+
Skytrak is useless outdoors … unless at night time with a light above it , it’s why I would not go for it cause you can’t use it at the range during the day at all the sun renders it useless
If I was going for $3-4k in Australia (which is what skytrak costs) I’d go Mevo+ for sure
I bought the Garmin. I mirror to a TV. The biggest selling point for me was playing with visiting friends. The skytrak is so close to the ball, it wouldn't be too long before someone hit/damaged it. The r10 is safe behind the player.
Garmin R10 can do eveything Skytrak can do for 1/3 the price. No brainer.
sky track only takes two pics of the ball...not thousands. I had one....they have aggrevating issues!!!
Garmin is better and I haven't even tried one!!!
Skylark any day. Garmin is accurate, but doesn’t detect swing half the time whenever used indoors. Imagine to make one shot, you have to make 2-3 shots. It’s a pretty lousy product, no idea how the hype picked up.
?? Do you actually have one? Unless you have a really poor setup, it detects 99% of shots.
Pricing.
@@danielx40 ah yes, waggle will def affect it. How did it work for you at the range?
@@LetsPlayThru I haven’t actually brought it to the range yet. However, it registers more shots after I increased the ball-to-screen distance.
Total distance was off about 13 yds and you said it was very close….it’s not
I watched your video comparing it to all the other launch monitors and you did a very good review and your analysis was very helpful
🤞
