Me too which is why I chose to go with her to Avernus even though we hated that place

Lowkey annoyed at them giving her 0 GOOOD good endings despite saying there wont be a bg4 (which i have no problem with, so much work and time went into bg3, but at least fully close everyones chapter)
I just wanna highlight how young she is in all this. Wyll is the only one younger. She’s probably 35 at most. I’m guessing she lost her parents around 10, went to work for gortash around then, and got sold in her early 20s. Teiflings only live about 20 more years than humans, and age at the same rate. She’s just barely 30, and a third of her life was “good”. And now after going through literal hell, she knows she’s going to die a painful and horrible death. She didn’t have a chance at life.

Yes. In my playthrough, she went back to Avernus with Wyll to find a fix for her infernal engine

Yes there are.
1) conditions: wyll must be alive and chose to become the blade of avernus and/or PC romanced karlach/has high approval with her: karlach can be offered to return to avernus with either wyll, the pc or both. If you let her choose she will agree to it.
2)conditions: karlach must be present when you confront the netherbrain for the first time.
After the cutscene vs the absolute karlach will offer to become a mind flayer to wield the netherstones. The transformation will rid her of her engine, but it is important to note that in the after credit party 6 months after the battle, her soul will be entierly gone and karlach is effectively dead, in her place is now the mindflayer that emulates karlach to her friends so they won't kill it.

having her volunteer to turn into a mind flayer to use the stones gives actually a very wholesome ending for her.
I agree with you. Its not perfect but tolerable. However, ive seen ppl in the comments strongly disagree. Mostly coz mindflayers dont have souls and its hard to tell if its still Karlach anymore
The mindflayer isn't her. It's a soulless abomination that consumed her brain and lives as an imitation of the original person. You may as well be by her side when she burns on the pier if you're going to choose to let her die.
This scene always get's me...
