Great Job! It’s nice to see you helping a single mother out with the front and back yards. I’m sure she can’t afford a lawn mower, weed trimmer and rake to do it herself. Too bad the neighbors don’t pitch in to buy them for her. If enough neighbors contribute, it wouldn’t be that expensive, as long as the neighbors buy lower cost mower, trimmer and rake. It would benefit them by making the neighborhood look better. Just a thought because it sounded like the kids were old enough to do it weekly.
I live in West Texas so I know how dry it's been. I also know the dry stuff is a whole lot harder to cut down then the green you did a great job thank you

You do tend to pick some difficult yards. Thanks for bringing this out of the fire-hazard category and also to have usable space, important for the soul, and places for kids to play. That was a nice gift on her part, food for you and gas to keep you running. It is important for kids to grow up in places with a sense of care and order. You helped the Mom re-create that. Appreciated your sidewalk and gutter work, that was pretty thick grass buildup and you worked away until it didn't exist. That was an extra kindness, of blowing off the back deck, so they could use it. Well done Before and After photos.

Awww, you were so kind to help this sweet appreciative lady, Cris! You made the property look so much nicer and safer. With some decent lumber in the backyard I wish she would use one to prop up that window unit, if she has a way to cut it to fit, or ask a neighbor to cut it. Also, since the one neighbor built a fence I would start removing that dangerous red fence that’s leaning heavily, placing a little out on the curb each week for pickup. I hope those two little struggling trees out front make it. It sounds like she has her hands full if those were her boys yelling in the background. 😬 At least now she can turn them loose in the backyard! 😁
I have never seen a yard so dead like that during the summer months. Looks like someone sprayed herbicides to kill off the vegetation. That's truly sad. If not for the catcus in the backyard being alive, the only sign of life. Great job.
