That girl singing can play amazing guitar now she's playing amazing piano she also plays the bass. I love when they switched instruments. On top of it they're all gorgeous. I love these girls 🤩 i love the way they moved 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is fantastic! No autotune, no mechanical sounding processing - just sheer talent and a respect for the song. You three are an absolute breath of fresh air.
I've heard this song loads in my life, but never focused on the bass playing. It has an excellent bass part to match the splendid piano. Great job, ladies!
I was in an all girl rock band decades ago. The misogynistic and homophobic shite we waded thru! I see you girls rock out. It was all worth it. My heart sailed when I discovered yous on UA-cam. This C.K. cover is brill. Well done girls. Keep on rocking women!
Hard to explain how their personality comes through their music, but its so smooth. I just love so how talented and multi tasking they are. I just love their style. Wow!!!
Really, really good. Carol King at her best and you did her proud. I remember when this song came out and I was always putting it on the record player. So young and so talented. Keep on rocking, girls.
@@elliyahugenesove9777Well, I was trying to listen to music on my friend Thomas' phonograph but I found the crackle of static electricity too distracting, so he suggested that I should try one of the newfangled listening machines called a gramophone. It was wonderful - not only did the new disc shaped pieces of equipment sound better but they also did not break, like the usual tubular ones, when our carriage went over a hole in the road.
Everything about this makes my day, but OMG Mollie's t-shirt... (extra props for the EVH & AC/DC pinups over Mamie's shoulders) Also, watching their live shows & busking videos it's clear Mollie is a *really* talented Guitarist/Bassist, which alone takes a lot of practice. But piano too? Incredible. Also really dig Orlaith's thumb-and-forefinger Bass playing. It's atypical but as a Guitarist-who-sometimes-plays-Bass I find myself doing that as a matter of comfort at times. It's especially useful if playing while seated. Orlaith's Bass line in this song is impressive too; she even does some slight bends to accent certain spots, which shows great attention to detail. It's interesting running across Dea Matrona only recently & going backwards in their somewhat-brief-but-expansive "catalog"; I'm eager to see what they do next.
@@VinE83656 Hi Vinnie, hope your Summer has been good so far. These "dog days" of waiting for DM to finish their album have been rough, no? I'm eager for new material. I appreciate you trying to steer me toward something I haven't heard yet but alas, I've watched both of the videos you mention on numerous occasions (thought I commented on at least one of them but there are so many...). While awaiting new material I've scoured the 'net for all things DM / Orláith & Mollie related & have I believe connected all of the dots & exhausted the available possibilities! Unless...do you know if anyone has posted footage from the recent Bingley show?
@@VinE83656 Overall this Summer has been so-so but I have at least been listening to a lot of good music. I've been working on learning the Squareneck Resonator Guitar (aka "Dobro" but the kind that's played horizontally) & as such have been spending quite a bit of time in the Bluegrass realm (Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes, Molly Tuttle, the amazing Sierra Hull, Del McCoury). And recently honoring the end (?) of the Dead run by catching up on some of those recent shows as well as some Phil Lesh & Friends. Not a big Deadhead myself but have crossed so many paths w/ their music over the years that it feels like time to pay some respects. It turns out they're still pretty darned good even as octogenarians! There was one song Dea Matrona did at a live show this past Spring that I don't think I've seen anywhere else, "Every Night I Want You" (video by John Bates posted on UA-cam May 17). I've wondered if that might be the next single...
@@VinE83656 This might sounds like an odd suggestion but have you ever thought of Bass Guitar? I've successfully recommended it to a few different people over the years who had musical interests/talents but couldn't find their one true instrument (one of whom has been playing for 45+ years now, another for 25+ years, and one for 14+ days!). It's a less-lauded instrument but it's essential, foundational and players of all levels are often in demand. You can also start out these days by playing a Bass Ukele which are tuned the same & can sound really cool as well but are much, much shorter in scale length & hence easier on the hands/fingers/fingertips than a full-size instrument. And if you don't have long fingers you can do like DM and play a short scale electric Bass (30") or even graduate through one of those on your way to a full scale instrument (34"). I personally love playing Bass & even spent a few years in my 20s focusing on it exclusively. But for me the Guitar keeps calling me back; I dabble in other stuff but I'm a Guitarist at heart. But I also have vast respect & love for Bass & great appreciation for many top players.
@@VinE83656 Reaction videos are a viral marketing phenomenon in which I have not found particular interest as yet. I did watch a couple when I first found DM a few months ago (one w/ some UK metal guys around my age as I recall; they were pretty goofy but loved the band) but haven't gone back down that path since. I'm usually busy gobbling up more live music videos. Or trying to learn some new song or instrumental part or whatever. Or some combination thereof...
I got love to give for the drummer. A drummer that is asked to do the same thing ends up playing the same thing and then people make Meg White comparisons. But for a musician to get experience and develop different ranges they have to play other styles. This was a tidy job and she served the song 👍
Ladies, let's be clear for all fans out there/here: the three of you all have looks that make men pay attention, but the main thing remains: you all got talent and it deserves a bigger public. Every song to be watched here on UA-cam by you ladies gets me out of a bad mood, and you never cease to make me produce a big smile by the attention you pay to the beautiful vintage sound of your instruments and at the same time to be able to play inventive cover versions (like the Abba "Voulez-vous'version you did on the street). Sincerely, when this corona circus is over, I hope you get the opportunity to tour here in the Netherlands.
Keyboards as well!?!? What can’t she do? Every time I catch a new video, this band just gets better and better. Respect for your skills and your sound.
A favourite Carole King song of mine and she would be so proud of that performance from three very talented young artists- keyboard really rocked and back up perfect 😊🤗🤗🤗
In the day and age of electronic sampling it's so great to see such talented young ladies playing thier own instruments. And not just playing them, but playing extraordinarily well. Much love, and an abundance of respect for these beautiful young ladies from my mother land!!
I'd love to be a fly on the wall the first time Carole King views this video. It can't be done any better than this.
Real music, played on real instruments with honest real talent!!!
Everyone is going to reference the smooth, effortless vocals and damn good piano playing, but that bass player is a straight-up badass!
I feel the earth move when I see these angels.
If by some fluke, I go to heaven, I'll be expecting a band of a similar caliber to be performing in the first piano bar I stumble into !
Extraordinary singing and keyboards from Mollie, brilliant bass from Orlaith and top drumming. This is stunning musicianship, love this band.
I love how the drummer is almost hopping on her seat as she's playing.
Now here are real musicians. pick up any instrument and play it well. sky is the limit for these girls.
@@paulb111.... I love it
They are very talented!
They are great❤
Wow, that piano playing was incredible but looked so effortless! Plus she was singing! 😮
Oh my goodness, Mollie can do anything, sings and plays keyboard, bass, drum and guitar, super talented, full comprehensive musician package
These girls just get better and better. Excellent keyboards from Mollie.
As a child of the 70's I'm really impressed. Carole King was the queen and you've all done her justice.
These women belong in movies and tv shows about the 70s. It would look great

This cover is so good, her voice is so smooth, can't stop listening
Yes and dam cute too
👍👍👍 Thank you Dea Matrona!!
damn, that's a classy vocal!
These two are magic...
Great version!
Mollie, your voice is preposterously sweet. Orlaith, your harmony is stunning.
Wow this girl group is great with originals and classics!
These darlings are Multi talented
Is there no end to their talents

This music really show cases your vocals in a very powerful way like no other.

That's an awesome Carole King cover✨ Such a sweet groove, and the voice is almost more King than the the original!
One of my favourites.
Damn, I've come back to this several times already! I love the instrumental section, which feels wrong to say since the vocals are so good too

It's been written thousands of times that Deal Matrona are really something especial !!
My favourite cover. Well done all of you. Woo hoo!
Lord, what a beautiful song, interpreted with so much feeling. Rhythm & melodies are phenomal. Harmonies and vocal, divine. Thank you, Dea Matrona.
There just isn't enough "baby" and "darling" any more. We've lost something we need to get back.
the bass player is so cool
Gadzooks! There's some pure natural talent. Bravo ladies.
Hard to explain how their personality comes through their music, but its so smooth. I just love so how talented and multi tasking they are. I just love their style. Wow!!!
Godless Matron TRANSLATION OF DEA MATRONA FROM ITALIAN THESE WOMEN ARE EXCELLENT!!
3 gorgeous foxes 🦊 singing 🎤 like angels 👼
Please ..... Tour! Tour! Tour! Especially to the Great Southern Land.
This song best suits Mollie's voice, and the keys - top notch.

Chills. Little scary when you best the original artist (CK). You three are amazing.......
Awesome 👏 I can’t believe how good they play 🤩
Love this band. It's like the spirit of the 70's all over again without the polyester pants.
Mollie McGinn .... your voice is like the song of angels
Mollie, You are gorgeous and multi-talented. Your band mates, Mamie & Orlaith, are gorgeous and talented as well.
Great vocals Mollie. So talented. Great lead and bass and now keys too. Orlaith looking very glam and Mamie as cool as ever.
Three blue eyed beauties that are just oozing of talent. Another wonderful cover song.
What can you say? These girls are GOOOOOOD!!!
Phenomenal cover. Nailed it.
