- Back out playing together again and it feels so good! Here’s a clip of us jamming out to 'Crossroads' by Cream 🤘🏼
Lyrics:
I went down to the crossroads
Fell down on my knees
Down to the crossroads
Fell down on my knees
Asked the Lord above for mercy
Take me, if you please
I went down to the crossroads
Tried to flag a ride
Down to the crossroads
Tried to flag a ride
Nobody seemed to know me
Everybody passed me by
Well, I'm going down to Rosedale
Take my rider by my side
Going down to Rosedale
Take my rider by my side
We can still borrow a house, baby
On the riverside
Going down to Rosedale
Take my rider by my side
Going down to Rosedale
Take my rider by my side
We can still borrow a house, baby
On the riverside
You can run, you can run
Tell my friend boy Willie Brown
Run, you can run
Tell my friend boy Willie Brown
And I'm standing at the crossroads
Believe I'm sinking down
Eric Clapton, please, oh (thank you)

Love you girls, hey I have a half brother in England maybe you can find him for me my father was in Love with a woman named Mercia and would have married her but when my father came back from the war she ripped up her letters because my grandmother was afraid of losing her son to overseas and when he finally found out boy was he hurt. Anyway his name is Stanley best Junior see if you can find him for me girls please. 👍 Love you always Bill from the USA 🇺🇸
Will ye do thin lizzy for us
@@seanohartaigh2209 Some guitar playing, girl in red trousers.
Why arent you doing any Rory Gallagher? I want to hear you play "Sugar Mama" off "Taste - Live at the Isle of WIght". -
Oh BTW this clip of Crossroads is brilliant.
I see lots of aged rockers in the comments, who remember the 60s and Cream (like me), truly stunned by this brilliant performance.
Now thats a real endorsement!!!
You know what’s great about this? Here are three girls of an age that they could be my granddaughters, and they’re playing music that I grew up with and they’re playing really, really well! Very reassuring and entertaining! Ireland keep up the legacy of great music!
I would be so very proud if they were my granddaughters.
Totally agree. Respect 👍
thats it---I am 71--totally aggree
An excellent rendition of a classic...and excellent musicians.
I totally agree. This was my first album I bought at the age of 11, now 64 it's still one of my favorites . Keep it going young Ladies.
When male rockers play they make faces like they’re in pain, ladies play like it’s just fun. I love it!!
I have been reliably informed that my jamming face is one of blissed out befuddlement, so there.
Someone has never watched Este Haim play
Well, they've obviously never had Man flu then....
And that young lady playing bass. What a total bottom basist. You dirty girl❤
I watched Cream at the Albert Hall doing this is 68 and again at their reunion gig. I am stunned by how close this band is to Cream. Orla's solos are very Claptonesque...very controlled and yet hugely creative. Mollie's bass playing is unreal. If she was using a fretless bass, I would struggle to tell the difference between her and Jack. And Mamie, like Ginger, keeps it all together. This is a seriously good band and it can only be a question of time before they achieve super-stardom. .
Yeah, playing a fretless bass is hard, and I don't think it would have added much to this song. That was a good bass line she played.
I first heard Cream play in Orange County in 69.... Those were some good years for music.
And thses Ladies did them proud!
Came across these young ladies by chance on UA-cam.I think they are brilliant. This would impress Clapton I'm sure.
She's actually playing Clapton's solo note for note.
@@jimihendrix3143
Exactly. To refer to her solo as 'creative' as another commenter did is ridiculous. They're very good, but that was paint by the numbers guitar playing. Not only that the departure part where Clapton, Bruce and Baker went crazy is obviously beyond this band's reach. Nothing wrong with that, but safe to say Fanny, The Bangles, Joan Jett, Susie Quatro, Hole or Zepperella aren't looking over their shoulders.
I'm 80 years young, so good to see this music live on. Love and peace from Australia 😎🎵🎶🎵🖐😎
Spot on ..from Brisbane Australia
These ladies would make Eric, Jack, Ginger very proud.
They did the song justice. I'd go see these ladies on concert.
Ladies....KEEP PLAYING LIKE YOU DO. YOU GOT IT!
Spot on. This is movin‘. Big time. Love it
Erica Clapton, Jaclyn Bruce and Gina Baker on tour.
Brilliant!
You don't need to change Ginger and Maryanne can do blind Faith
Hah I see what you did there! you almost got me with that Tom foolery
Love The Comment, Nice Thrice.
Perfect comment.....well done
I see lots of aged rockers in the comments, who remember the 60s and Cream (like me), truly stunned by this brilliant performance.
Now thats a real endorsement!
For sure ! And to all the people who say Cream did it better 'no shit??'
Damn they all can play. Bass badass drums badass and the guitar was dead nuts on. These girls know what's up
You said it well
It's amazing to me that these girls, who weren't even born when we all first heard this song, have so captured the spirit of it and even taken it forward into the future.
These 3 chicks have got the musical talent the sound and the looks to go some places for sure. That's one of the best Cream covers I've heard in years! Great job to all 3 of ya.
FINALLY, someone who actually gets the timing on the riff correct! Really nice job.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I'm listening to the lead guitarist
Playing SPOT ON, all of a sudden
the Bass Player comes RIPPING THROUGH with some serious Riffs
and making that Squire Bass KILL!
Anyways this just appeared on my
Screen, and I'm SO GLAD I got to
see this Band, their STRAIGHT UP
KILLERS! 🎸💚
They've played the full song in a recent livestream and I'm in awe of their skills.
Including Crossroads at 18:10 are covers of Rory Gallagher's Cradle Rock, Oh Well and 6 of their own songs.ua-cam.com/video/WS8TJEqqTLg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DeaMatrona.
These girls actually interchange bass and lead guitars. Watch them play Rory Gallagher, you'll see.
Super talented and this old rocker, who grew up with this kind of music it's a real joy to see.
When granddaughters play the music of their grandfathers! I love it!
Bassist is making some excellent choices. Pays the original a huge compliment
I believe Jack Bruce’s official page shared this video and had good things to say.
Great mix...all instruments can be heard evenly
This couldn't have been any better. Wish I could have been there. Outstanding performance ladies.
Jack & Ginger would've smiled to see this homage to their music. And we may be sure someone shared this with Eric.
Gary McAleer I am sure EC would dig this. You're right about Jack and Ginger too.
I'm not sure anything makes Ginger smile and he would dismiss these girls as a cute garage band. Probably one he is investigating suing for playing a copywriter Cream song.
Marrowbones it’s funny that within a minute of the girls starting I was shouting “hit the drums as if you were ginger “ at the drummer. I always say when I listen to Crossroad “how the he’ll can just three people generate that sound”. The girls didn’t do bad big brownie points for taking on a Cream track .
@@gregorytimmons4777 Nothing would make Ginger smile now that he's been dead for a year. ;O)
As I watched I saw visions of Eric and Robert Johnson with big ol grins!!
Keep makin music!
Cream's magnificent live track magnificently performed live. What's not to like?
They hit it note for note and even get the sound and fell 100% including the voicing... brilliant.
It's amazing that all this cool sound comes from this small amount of equipment, if I was there I'd be dancing to that
In reality the groove comes from the players!!! But the equipment is doing a bonkers job for what it is
And then I'd pull up a chair and just sit and enjoy.
Watch the Cream version. Wall of Sound
@@82kevc dude do you realise they sound like an amateur band jesus christ hahahahaahahah
Pretty impressive these ladies nailed it . I have seen and heard many covers of this and don't recall ever seeing it done any better. I played in bands myself and i couldn't have done it any better.
Wow wow wow . Beth is totally unbelievable. They all are great but holy crap what a great drummer, she’s got it all in spades.❤
These girls are incredible. ❤
I would drop o my knees in tears if I heard these gals live playing this.
DIE AUTOTUNE DIE
This isn’t busking.
This is an open-air rock concert.
John. I think it would rightly be an open air concert if it were a planned event for their fans. It’s legit busking if they set up their instruments without license or permission on the street with no plan except to practice, advertise or entertain for just the generous patronage of passers by. Well done either way, though.
Amplified busking is a selfish, inconsiderate nuisance. Spoils it for other buskers too. Ever noticed they seem to take less money than acoustic buskers.
@@luckybag6814 Time to change your first name to "Dirt." Live music, amplified or acoustic in public spaces should be celebrated. Stop being a petty, sanctimonious, narrow minded killjoy.
@@luckybag6814 my banjo is louder than any battery amp so I'm not concerned if other buskers want to plug in
If I've got the time and drive to reply to all these useless and idiotic comments I think all 6 of us need to get a life
The guitar player has memorized Clapton's solo- beautiful job, perfect guitar sound!
And the bass player is playing Jack Bruce’s lines too
I’ve seen a lot of bands do this song, but you ladies really capture the raw feel and sound of that original live recording. Awesome
The bassist really nailed Jack Bruce’s bass lines throughout the song. I’ve played that song on the bass a million times and I am seriously impressed with her ability. Keep on rockin’!!!
Check out their livestream version of Rory Gallagher "Cradle Rock". Both Mollie and Orláith play lead and bass, and swap instruments..
ua-cam.com/video/4J6z1xGYd4c/v-deo.html&start_radio=1&rv=JtUQlLLgJJ8
Saw them outside the Victoria centre after Christmas. They were amazing. First time I've stood and watched buskers for 20-30 minutes. There was a crowd formed around them.
Excellent Girls , drummer needs to be a bit busier to get the thun
Great to see Cream is still remembered and appreciated. Guitarist and bassist are actually quite good, and surprisingly give Eric and Jack a run for their money. Nice work ladies!
Agreed... on both counts.
Note for note. Wow. You did justice to what is arguably the best live guitar performance of all time. I'm stunned and speechless yet excited and inspired. Thank you and super Congratulations on your musical achievements!
Wow
Yeh, Note for note - my all-time favourite lead break - I was blown away when I heard this - I've been trying to play it for years:-) - and three hot chicks as a bonus - hooda thunk?
(Editor's note:- we apologise for the "sexist" remark at the end - this does not reflect the values of our organisation, but is solely the opinion of the writer, a throwback to the sixties when females were colloquially referred to as "chicks" or "birds" and Clapton was a god)
@@stephenpalmer8072 But I think it's politically correct to now say 'Orlaith is God'.
Three lovely Irish ladies absolutely tearing up the Rock 'n Roll Canon
Says a music producer in 70s?
@@Gonkawonga well the 60's were when I was a teenager but great music is great music
Every man's sweethearts
As a cream fan I would give this 10 out of 10 .👍
Any chance ye would do White Room or Badge.
I'll bet they could also do a killer version of Strange Brew.
Totally Effing Awesome! Wow is all I can say. Eric, Jack and Ginger would be very impressed.
Awesome cover . Nice to rock ‘n’ roll still alive all over the globe . Keep rockin girls . Y’all are very talented and thanks for sharing .
Killin the lead guitar!! Tight group ❤
Brilliant
I've played this tune live on-stage 100s of times and it always whips up the crowd
These ladies have done it right proper tidy
That's almost exactly the Cream version. I know a guy who was practicing that for ages. Well done.
I know a guy too and never got there unfortunately .
I am a work in progress on that Clapton stuff too.
This video was on my recommended list back in late October and I shared it on FB. It had about 45k views at that time. Now its growing exponentially and has reached 574k. It was at 500k just 5 days ago. The amount of views is commensurate with the quality of the performance here. There will always be a market for quality live classic rock.
The bass player got as close Jack Bruce as I have ever heard in a live performance and with the great guitar player and singer, this is a top shelf performance hands down!
Authentic to the Cream cover, including the bell bottoms. Consider my 'like' to be a virtual dollar in the hat. Thanks.
I'm right behind you.
That guitar sounds so dirty! I love it 😆
That is amazing
Bassline kicks. Jack would love it.
The Bassist seems to want to hog the limelight as well.
@@acm1350 they take turns "hogging" -- they seem like great friends having a great time. And they're all 3 excellent musicians with great taste, choosing good material to cover and writing pretty good songs, too.
Indeed very nice
Not to mention the drummer keeping perfect time!
In other vids, they switch instruments -- I've known a lot of guitarists, it doesn't seem like many play bass that well or so easily. I think the more videos I've seen, the more mind-blowing they seem.
Amazed these young ladies even are into The Cream as they were from like 50 years ago☺️🌈
Wow! Not just playing a great version of this song but nailing Clapton’s part effortlessly. Probably Jack Bruce’s as well, I can’t tell over my phone speakers. I’m so glad I discovered this band, I’ve watched some of their studio recordings and they are phenomenal
I missed ginger bakers fine chops...nonetheless a beautiful rendition. Kudos ladies.
Bass is seriously good :)
I’m so glad….I see what you did there 😀
@@MrDino1953 Haha, I didn’t even realise!
I lost all hope that today's youth could have any interest in Rock n Roll. Until I saw this. You gals are great.
Love the guitar tone from that Strat. Pretty solid.
I like how that bassist had the guitarists back when she went back to singing but her overdive was still on...
I thought Orláith had missed a note - but replaying it, I think she damped one to alert Mollie to put the overdrive off.
Dear me!! What a talent & musicanship!
You are rockin' !!!!!!! Having fun and it shows! great gtr solo and bass all the thru! Drums solid as well!
OMG She nailed that solo! I could watch that drummer (Jodie Foster )having such fun all night! Crapton of music coming from that full bass. Thanks for this.
This is maybe the 10th time I ve watched this and you again managed to bring a tear pf joy to this 68 year olds eyes :))))
Only ten, i am seventy one and this is about my one hundred plus times i have watch these girls play great music.
Others are right. I can't stop listening and watching too.
Murat Taner...Sizi cok iyi anliyorum. Bende bu kizlara bayiliyorum. Super yetenekliler!
I'm 70 and I've flooded the street !!! 😁 😉 😉 😘
@@johntrojan9653 :))))
Awesome very fine ❤
I’m 70 now, love your music. Talented Ladies, keep on rocking.
This made me laugh and cry at the same time. One of the best Cream songs ever. You've got it perfectly. Fantastic version! Well done! Very soulful and true. THANKS! MORE!
Best version of Crossroads since Cream's Wheels of Fire live track. The bass player has Jack's rife down to a fine art and the guitarist is Clapton note and sound perfect. Wonderful stuff. You girls should really get signed up for an album deal with Polydor.
this is courageous … being a trio it could so easily fall apart… but it doesn’t!!
Blimey! That was brilliant!!
Damn .. I am so impressed ! It’s one thing to play the notes, but to capture the power and passion that made that song iconic, is something that I have seen too many pro and seasoned players fail to do . Thank you !!!
Excellent job ladies. I agree with an earlier comment that it is tough to achieve a Cream, Clapton feel on this song and you three did it seamlessly.
Lucky Belfast ! Fab band.
Nice one!
That little Musicmaster bass sounds pretty damn good. And she is nailing a lot of Jacks actual licks and fills from the original recording.
Yes it does and yes she is! Wonderful performance.
Really. And the way she goes from the five to six instead of four is really cool, Same way Jack Bruce did it.
A song from my youth. Well done lads, er lassies.
It's a Squier Bronco bass and yes, it does and yes, she does.
Squier Bronco short scale isn't it?
This made me smile. Quite amazing! Fun to listen to and fun to watch because when the band is having fun so are the audience. Shout out from Fort Worth, TX , USA. ?More please...
you have listened to it as many times as i have, brava.
Mind blowingly good. Staggering
Covering three of the greatest musicians ever was very brave but very well done. When I was young busking was a guy attached to six different instruments singing "I’m a one man band", they never looked like this.
Great job ladies as ever. Solid playing from all parts.
que bien les sale !!! me recuerda los viejos tiempos
Holy moly.... Awesome
I wasn’t watching just listening, and so often I caught myself saying “WOAH HOLD ON” and rewinding to see what the bass player was doing. Phenomenal stuff!!!
I gotta say , You ladies did a great job !! Coming from a huge fan of Cream ... Especially , the Wheels of Fire album !!
Joseph Digilio I wonder if they play Spoonful. They played this one like it came from the record. That's not easy to do either.
Time & again we see the quality of music that came from the 60s / 70s. It was a great time to be young.
It’s Truly Amazing how Good that Sounds! ❤
Holy crap!! This is amazing. 😮 How are those people just walking past!?
Liked and subscribed. 👍
Excellent stuff ladies, love your work. Best wishes from Dublin.
💚☘️🎶💃🎵💃🎶💃🎵☘️💚🇮🇪
Would be great to see these guys on Grafton St. wouldn't it Seán?... I've been following them for a while, they're really good !!
Second that and imagine a set with our Allie 🤩. 🎵🎶🎵🎶
@@leonardmcdermott7703 I was actually thinking Saibh or Izo would be a better match-up, but whatever, they're all amazing !!
Grafton Street? These girls are really good, they sure don't need Allie. Or Grafton Street. Playing for shoppers and mingling with every kid in Dublin with a guitar? Unfortunately, Grafton Street is definitely no Laurel Canyon.
@@leonardmcdermott7703 Seriously? What does this band need Allies caterwauling for? Both the lead guitarist and bassist sing. And they sing very well, on key, without shouting, over singing, and without 2 or 3 voice squeaks per song. These girls can rock and roll, musical talent and great presence, they definitely don't need Allie in there.
Great cover!
Great tone on that guitar. Ladies can absolutely get it done!! Excellent job...as usual.
Sign these talented kadies up. Jack Bruce is smiling down on 'em.
kadies?
@@TomTobin67 75 with detefiorating eyedight... and my editor sux too. Ladiez. Thanks ffg or beinv up on the very latedt. ¿Cumprende?
Phil Lynott and Rory Gallagher are smiling down too (the girls are from Ireland)
And Ginger Baker
Music industry does not sign up true talent anymore .
Wow great job girls. I’m a very seasoned musician and I declare, y’all are really good. I’m so happy you’re playing real music and not this modern garbage on top 40 radio. Great guitar tone. Bassist is smokin it! Drummer is tight.
Superb girls!
So absolutely awesome!
My only criticism ; as I recall that version is from a double album - I want MORE ! Great job Ladies.
Wow. That brighten my Whole day! Youngin's rockin it OUT. My fav band honored in Big Way Outstanding... Delaware sea hey!
Note for note the best ever cover version I have ever heard, well done girls, keep up the excellent work, Why hasn't a record label signed you up? we need another Brian Epstein out there,
Record company's and bands are only in trested in making money 💰, not good music
Yep,that was really good 👏👏👏
Hey There! It's awesome to see young people who understand the blues feel of this song. Makes we wish I was in my twenties. Kudos from a 61 year old. You guys are great!!!
I had doubts at the beginning. Not sure if it was how you were playing or just your sound system, but...
...then came the solo, and along with Orlaith's great guitar lead was Mollie's impressive, fun, great bass work! You won me over big time...
Yeah!! 😀🤩👏👏🏾👏🏼👏🏿👏🏽👏🏻
Very confident young trio of ladies..obviously have good rock grounding and understanding of song structure..love the bass/lead interplay here!
These ladies are top drawer! Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh hills.
My heart is in a better place today because of this. These beautiful young ladies playing the incredible music of my youth and doing it justice. Thank you for lifting my life even for a moment!!
Wow, totally crushed it. Definitely one of the best versions I've come across. In the words of Bill and Ted, "Excellent"!
J. Bruce would be Proud with that Bass playing! ❤❤
I believe this was shared by Jack Bruce's official site. I am not sure if it was UA-cam or Facebook or another, but I read or heard they got a shout out from his site.
great job ladies
A glimmer of light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
They need to get a record out, like a someone make these ppl big, they deserve it
They're 50 years too late.
Just have to add what a great job these ladies did on this song. Excellent!
Note for Note Jack Bruce! Much appreciated is the effort the string players put in to learn this exactly!!! WOW!
