"Oh boy! I love snow aesthetics in games, and this place is beautiful! Its a top contender for being my favorite stratum!" Gets to Ice Floor *"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand there it goes!"*
Favorite track in the game and i didn't realize it till months after not playiing the game. It just popped in my head and I was like yeessss. I still like the cook's song though.
This place gave me nightmares. Between the wolves, the blue blob, those two from the Esbat Guild, and Scylla...Scylla...oh I hated Scylla. I couldn't even beat her on normal; I had to scale back the difficulty just because of her. Never again.
Did the same, then switched back to Expert for the next stratum. I'm in some weird groove where encounters don't give me too much trouble, but I can almost never beat the bosses on the hardest difficulty... although, according to the wiki, it's not always my fault... "lol, you can reach me at level 40, but you need to be around 50 to even stand a chance!" "Fuck you, Picnic mode it is."
To be fair, Scylla had a pattern and having a princess made the fight (if you knew what to do) a heck lot easier. She still was no joke but compared to the original Scylla the remade one was.. fair. 8As fair as she gets i take) Different with Harpuia funnily. Harpuya was a joke in the original as long as you had an archer (or anything that did piercing damage) but in the remake i did have to scale the difficulty back to normal to best her.
Being honest, I believe the original was best, this is too much calm, the other was opressive and sad but also empty in a conforting way, also it got along the theme, but this goes aganist all of that just to add Jazz like 90% of all the untold soundtracks

hellish landscape of annoyingly complicated ice puzzles and giant eyeball monsters has surprisingly calming music
You just accurately described any EO game

This is the perfect music to sit down and read a good book with some hot cocoa next to a warm fireplace
Nice calming music for when you're being chased by giant eyeball monsters, killer blobs of jelly, and a monster right out of H.P. Lovecraft.
"Do you wanna build a snowman?"
(gets blasted by the Blizzard King)
"Everyone's a critic..."
I love both the original and remaster. This version just sounds so pure and uwaaaa~
it's so melancholy. . . if only i knew the reason beforehand...jesus dude

It's not a contest. I love the orchestrated version MUCH more. One of the most calming ice level themes I have EVER heard in a videogame.
This is my favourite track so far
man i love what they did with this song
I Really Love this Orchestrated Version of this From the game. This definitely reminds me of the 1970s kinda
lovely game with one of the best osts.... free
The original is my favourite track in the entire series. It's interesting to see how people perceive music differently. Loved the arrangement, though!

0:50 am I the only one who hears Frank Sinatra's 'A day in the life of a fool'?
When I hear this, I think of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
I still come here when I need a quick cooldown...

Imagine this swapped with the Route 216/217 snow route theme from the Sinnoh Pokemon games
