This one just popped in my head, i absolutely adore this track, it just adds to that feeling of adventure not changing but feeling like we've hit an apex, god i love etrian odyssey, may we get a sixth this year or the next!
King Kazuya For both: Dispersed Cruelty( from the 2nd stratum boss) and Trick step works wonders, there's also a food on the Restaurant that negates curses and instant kills, but it's hard to make;
Yeah, sounds like Decretum, Sayaka's theme. Sounds also like Lullaby of Deserted Hell from Touhou 11. It is said great minds think alike, so maybe great ears compose alike.
This song got stuck in my head since the first time I listen to it. I also noticed that the instrument arrangements is similar to EOU1's 5th Stratum, you know, the ruined city one.
To my knowledge, the only final boss that wasn't another human or humanoid at some point was the Heavenbringer from EOIV. No idea if this is the case for EOV or not.
See it for yourself: watch?v=03nV25GARkw&t The coolest final boss in an EO game IMO, mainly because his design reminds me to those True Dragons from 7th Dragon games
Etreant - The surviving scientist of a long forgotten era and one of the creators of the Yggdrasil Project. Overlord - Also a surviving scientist who turned to experimentation in order to evolve his species. Progenitor - The 2nd Rank among the Deep Ones, behind only the Abyssal God itself. Heavenbringer - The human incarnation of Yggdrasil itself; The titular tree and titan is your final opponent. Eternal Tyrant - The ultimate challenge created by the Arken Race to test out those who scale Yggdrasil. Dread Muspell - An Emberman who once ruled over the earth as queen, but divorced her husband (presumably because she caught him fucking another Emberman). She was later banished by Yggdrasil. Jormugandr - A man-made superweapon that went on a rampage, and had to be sealed away by the Abyssal Princess.
If you think about it, most of Etrian Odyssey is either humans fucking up or humans trying to deal with things other humans fucked up, and a lot of the time the lines are really, really blurred.
How so? I had a good laugh at the parties reaction to the soup-dispenser. xD Also it kinda makes sense, that some advanced airship has some advanced food-distribution system.
sdw4527 I guess it is difficult to sound "sad" with FM sound. But I am fine either way. Regal or reminiscent, both fit the history of the Overlord quite well.
oh dont get me wrong i completely agree that it IS a good thing that there is non extended versions over extended versions though when songs have one specific person who does an extended version of a song (its pretty much impossible to find a non extended version of a xenoblade track now) its fine by me but having none is a bit overkill one is just fine though
the 5th labyrinth always has the best music in EO

this track...This is why I was able to get through those damn knights and didn't quit.
+King Kazuya which knights? the ones with Jedi blades or the insta-kill black knights?
all of the above.
King Kazuya For both: Dispersed Cruelty( from the 2nd stratum boss) and Trick step works wonders, there's also a food on the Restaurant that negates curses and instant kills, but it's hard to make;
SelectionCrescimento I've made about every meal, but I just used Artery and a weird tactic called no debuffs and limitless hell.
King Kazuya Artery is the first thing i cast on the battle, and not using debuffs sounds dangerously awesome.
There's something hopeful about the beginning of this track , I really like it
This actually gives me a heavy Madoka Magicka vibe at some points. The melancholic feeling give me chills up my back.

Lost Capital of Shinjuku, I love that one too.
all i think hearing this is a regal kingdom the overlord looking out over the land in a cloud of guilt and lonelyness
maybe loneliness but not guilt, he did experiments on people for goodness sakes.
+DragonHarrierGaming but would one not feel guilt after all that time ?
perhaps....
+DragonHarrierGaming indeed, i mean, inmortality and powers? everyone dream with that at least one time in her life.
+Ascension Soto those with power sek to use it those with out crave it thats life
This is truely Heavenly!
This actually sounds a lot like a waltz to me, with that heartbeat-like rhythm.
Such beautiful sounds
To think that the almighty Overlord was once an human being like Visil.
To my knowledge, the only final boss that wasn't another human or humanoid at some point was the Heavenbringer from EOIV. No idea if this is the case for EOV or not.
Don't forget that the Medium (supposedly a human) was essential to awakening the Heavenbringer.

They overdid themselves with this, few music remakes becomes this GODLY¡
This is still my favorite of the statums. I love this rendition, though the stratum 3 remake is really good too.
Anyone else really love the *click* sound at 0:24?
Mr. Soup Machine was my favorite character in the game.
(That's a joke, not a jab at EO2U's characters)
Honestly the soup dispenser kind of kills the mood of the place.
How so? I had a good laugh at the parties reaction to the soup-dispenser. xD

Mr. Box truly was the MVP here.
(cue Soup Store gag from Code MENT)
伝説グリモア厳選でジャガーさんの前をひたすら往復した思い出
why is this so pretty
Because it's a 5th Stratum theme from Etrian Odyssey.
This remake sounds a bit sadder and more like a reminiscence than the original theme.
The original one sounds more regal.
I'm pretty sure they were trying to convey a sad tune through the original (you can tell by the melody), it was just hard to with the limitations.

Ionescel Very true.
+General Necromage I highly doubt that lol
+General Necromage Those were his test subjects, he doesn't give two cares.
I actually really love this arrangement. I usually prefer the FM synth but I didn't like the original very much.
And to say that the trailers spoiled us by having THIS play in them! What's next?! Their Own Brand of Justice in the 3rd Untold Trailers?!
Probably not, but the new Porcelain Forest theme will likely play (which will probably be amazing).
can we just have an extened version of this? and like all of the etrian songs? there are so few extended versions of the etrian series music
+astralinadinavale I am glad that my youtube searches are, for once, *not* clogged with 30min (or longer) versions of songs.

I preferred Lost Shinjuku but that's just me.
Salute to everyone ! I think choir would better instead trumpet.
The music and art style do not fit, but damn the music is a bop

I am not apologizing.
No need to, this comment section needed some life anyway lol

This sounds like the ending theme to a cowboy flick, with him riding off into the sunset for places unknown.
