Want to see this Kayak in the water? Chack it out! ua-cam.com/video/cbUp25-YfII/v-deo.html
Well, you did it at home which is a marvel as other's run out to location for first time.
I definitely like to know my gear before I go out. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Rock Climbin' Grandma. Congrats on ur purchase of the AE Convertible.
Happy adventures.
Would like to point out that urs is not a drop stitch floor though. The DS floor will be very rigid at 4-6psi.
Hope to see ur next vid on water enjoying urself😊
Oh! Thank you! Yes... definitely very soft at 1 psi. I didn't realize the nomenclature. Thanks for the correction.
@@RockClimbinGrandma enjoy ur kayak. Maybe later on u will upgrade to a DS floor and really see the difference in performance. Until ur next vid then ☺
@@shahhamzah2422 Virgin voyage hould be uploaded by end of day. I had the BEST time launching it for the first time. I may get the spine instead as recommended by an other AE tandem user.
@@RockClimbinGrandma well, there are pros and cons to either drop stitch floor or backbone.
I prefer DS floor. Do ur research on both and choose according to ur needs. Cheers.
This is a great video. Clear and with humorous touches. I found it helpful to make the decision about this kayak.
Glad I could help out. Thanks for stopping by!
In case you haven't found out yet, those are paddle holders.
HA! Yes . I figured it out. Thanks for stopping by!
These Velcro-Things are to secure the Paddle
👍🏻
GReat work.Hello from Australia!
Australia? Cool! Bet there is great paddling there.
This is a great video, as are your others using the kayak! They helped convince me to purchase one. There are lots of videos of people setting up their AE Convertibles, but only one of someone folding one up. That is where I am struggling. I can't figure out if I fold it at the end of the bow end skid plate or somehow fold it in the middle of the skid plate. If I fold it at the end, then the kayak does not fold into five equal sections, but it still fits into the bag widthwise (barely). How do you fold yours? Thanks!
I will create that video. Thanks for the suggestion. Also, I have asked to create a drying out video which may also be helpful to you. Thanks for stopping by!
Still deciding whether to purchase this or not. The Advanced Elite is over $1800, without paddles, pump, zip in covers. Expensive.
I used my REI dividends. Saved them up. Helped bring the price down. I'm happy with it though. And I have no room to store a hard shell so this was the best option. I just bought the spine for better tracking.
@@RockClimbinGrandma they do look worth the money. I'll look to sell my SUP first. Cheers for the reply!
Your kayak takes up less room than mine LOL. Question of the day is a good one. I always struggle with getting ANYTHING back in the bag it came from!
LOL.....well good news.... it went back in the bag!

That floor is the regular floor, not the drop stitch floor.
Yes! Thanks for that.
Bit late but that isnt a drop stitch floor
