- At the 2015 Spa Classic we were lucky enough to capture Emanuele Pirro driving the Alfa Romeo T33/3 on the beautiful circuit of Spa-Francorchamps!
The Spa-Classic is organised by Peter-Auto and just like the Le Mans Classic this event is absolutely gorgeous and it gets better every single edition they organise! Definetely a go-to event if you're a classic car lover.
Enough about the event though, let's talk about this car. The Alfa Romeo T33 knows many variants and this is the T33/3 built in 1969 by Italian brand Alfa Romeo, known for some of the most beautiful car in motor racing history.
This car in particular was used by the Autodelta racing team in 1969 and with drivers such as John Surtees, the ambition was high! They tested a car at Le Mans but ended up not being able to compete due to reliability issues. Nino Vaccarella later took the Alfa T33/3 to pole at Hockenheim and also drove it to victory at Enna. (this goes for the T33/3 in general)
Engine Specs:
Tipo 33.3 90° V8 engine block
Engine is mounted in the middle
2998 cc
420 bhp @ 9400 rpm
car weighs 700 kilos in total
Top Speed of 310 kmh
Hope yo really enjoyed this video! Will start posting Group C later this week! Make sure you share this beautiful car with friends who could be interested! Also consider leaving a like or a comment.
Thanks for watching!

RIP
Lucien Bianchi 1969
Piers Courage 1970
I was able to interview both, at Sebring, those years...
THEY inspired my stint with Florida Racing News
Tech Editor 1972-1973
Along with Jo Bonnier...
RIP Jo....
Too many deaths in that era...
As Bernard and Karl lamented
The best and worst of times
Forza Ferrari!
It was GREAt to see the Ferrari mechanics
HELPING the ALFA people late at night....
Guys from Miami's best tuners...Raceco...
SOLIDARITY against The Huns!
I did my bit, cleaning and sorting some transaxle bits...
On the strength of having worked with VW and Corvair boxes
Unfortunately OVERHEATING ended both cars race, after only a few laps...
Sebring could be BRUTAL!
As in 1966....
95F & 98%
Then:
Le Deluge!
Tires and coolers FLOATING in flotillas
Italian electrics on strike!
Not long after FREEZING at Daytona (1968...)
Enduros for ALL of us!

Good to see ol' Emanuele staying proficient. Been watching this guy since he was driving the Benetton in F1. Always has a smile, even when things aren't going to plan.
I know there are track rules on certain days but.....Those damn silencers on the cars drive me mad.
Richard H Is this the same car Ricciardo drove around in the Mille Miglia? Because if so, that may explain the noise reduction requirements.
Brandon Ryan Im not sure sorry.
Richard H Not able to confirm that myself! But yea, the silencers are painful.. Would have loved it so much to hear this car's full roar!
Brandon Ryan Ricciardo drove the 71's Tipo but that was on Targa Florio though, this one is from 1969 , so it's not the same car. And about the silencers, well what can I say, it changes the sound of the car totally, a shame really. Those damned mufflers should be banned forever:)
Anthony Monteil thanks man. Can't believe I said Mille Miglia, but then again I read the article around 5 months ago lol.
Alfa Romeo T33/3 splendida. Bellissima...
Tragedy that the glorious scream of the Alfa V8 is muted
Mike techniques
Foam shielding
Placement...
Few racers excel at it....
Should be taught, somewhere..

Pirro is a very accomplished driver. Nice pictures of the Alfa and great sound quality as well. Liked. Thanks for uploading.
Peter Pretorius You're welcome! It's such a friendly guy as well, amazing to see him driving this car.
Lovely car, great video.
AaronArmstrong030792 Thanks!
Loved Andrea in the 2 liter Periscopo
1967 Sebring
LED the opening lap!
Ferrari stayed home
Labor strife
BTW- WHY the 2.5 liter coupes?
As at Daytona?
What was the thinking?
I never heard an explanation....
Even from Andretti, when he stopped by....
That extra 500cc
???

Our beloved Road America has restrictions...
No 12 or 24 Hour races
No racing after 5PM
YET the locals like the MONEY!
You can bet!
