There were some flooding issues the last time my family was in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area but nothing like this!

I bet it was even more humbling to stand next to these rapids in downtown Gatlinburg. Still wish I would have came last week....looked absolutely breathtaking & so damn powerful. Never seen the Smokies like this, & it probably was more like being closer to nature than it's been for sometime.

You & town officials are acting like it will not get worse?? ? You should not be filming or standing there... at all! Those bridges are accidents waiting to happen. There should be no humans or vehicles anywhere near those raging waters. P.S. I just subscribed!

the road that's flooded you show first and call "the road behind the main Parkway" is River Rd. I have a business here and want to thank you for a good video with good descriptions and not too wordy. :) Just wish you would've said "water" instead of "crap" :)
That is scary. I was in a flood in 1990 in columbia missouri. The missouri River and Mississippi rivers leeves broke thru. 6 hours after my mom's funeral the cemetery flooded. Fortunately she was buried in high ground but the graves buried lower ground has been unearthed. Even now to this day some of the bodies never been recoveref
where we were at it was, we took extra precaution because of JJ but im sure it was a lot worse a couple hours before we headed out.... at 3pm more than half the town was closed. but I really respect that they are considering their employees

At least it helped get rid of some of these tourist. This happens sometimes. It's technically called a rainforest for a reason. One day it's 70 degrees and the next few days it rains and floods then the next day is below freezing and snowing. Y'all acting like that was something serious 😂 water levels are almost back to normal for now until next week. They are calling for a lot of rain.. 😁
I was a little sad that everything closed early but highly respect that they are looking out for their employees.... we live pretty close to the area so are used to this crazy weather that's why I wanted to be sure an put out update next morning. mother nature is amazing and crazy to watch..... they are calling for crazy rain this week...not looking forward to that... thanks for watching and stay dry .

I actually do agree with you. We were staying at a hotel just up the street and were actually at a very safe distance . We didnt really go out exploring. We walked down the road and never got close enough to be at risk because I have seen the heartbreak these waters can cause. Thank you for the concern
First the fire and now this. When the government wants the land in your town they make it so you cant earn money results in getting the town for free. Sad cause my little girl loves coming here every year since she was 1yr now 10
yeah water was already way down yesterday when we left. I posted an update video.... we do have quite a bit of rain coming just follow all closures and stuff anytime like this and you will be fine. the city was very on top of everything even sending all employees home early... much respect
