What I love about this set is that it reminds me of a shop fire we had in my city last year, the building looked very similar and the top floor burned first thanks to some construction work, so the ENTIRE 'play pattern' of this set is EXACTLY like how the shop burned down hahaha. (the shop is Primark in Belfast, Northern Ireland btw)
Finally, Lego fire trucks with rear view mirrors! I like this set more for the construction theme than the fire theme. That fire engine is HUGE! This set to me is almost like a fire-station-without-the-fire-house...
Wish the pump was hidden somewhere in the vehicle. It sticking out looks to obvious. Also hoping they make new construction sets, judging from this set.
i'd set up the fire pieces around the spotlight area to pretend it's an electrical fire and have the canisters near it as a race against time for the firefighters
i really like the play feature of lifting up part of a portable toilet, knocking over the light, and hitting a big lever to start the fire. that's very clever. i'm just not pleased with how the water cannon looks
New ways to shoot things always interest me. First the spring-losded shooters, then the stud shooters, then the stud six-shooters, then the updated net launcher, then the water pump, and now this tile tri-shooter...
I know its for kids and they probably don't care, but why can't toymakes do a proper siren sound? It always sounds cheap and "made in china-ish". "It's made for kids" is not an excuse for a rubbish siren sound.
Its the size, a small speaker or some other resonating device won't displace air as a bigger one would. I know you could say that earbuds and the speakers of a phone are small so may also be a power issue? Makes me wanna do some reseach 😅 thanks ✌
Hmm, a drone crane, a fire & rescue drone, drone in the new Fire HQ, robber drone man is Lego using the drones to fire Lego figures. The only thing that interests me both the crane and the half building but I can get the pieces separately for both.
Looking at the fire station released alongside this, I'd say she's a "Fire Technician" of sorts, not a chief. She operates a flying drone in that set, and that set has a character who wears a golden helmet (which has traditionally been the chief's helmet in past years). Anyway, pretty nice set. Not a slam dunk, but I really appreciate that the biggest set isn't a fire station, but an actual playset.
I think even tho Hardcore fans might Not Like it, its Important die Lego in the Long Run to make the Sets more interactive and interesting by Putting light and Sound Features in them
This is a really nice fire set. I like that LEGO has more and more given play scenarios and features for fighting fires. Although not crazy about the squeeze bulb thing. The ports potty gag is driving me crazy. I know it is an homage to a classic 80’s comedy. I just can’t remember which? (Was it police academy?) That combination of building on fire, crane and helicopter is also neat as it lets the kid play out the dramatic 1999 Crane Rescue by the Atlanta Fire Department.
I love the new fire fighters this year because the looks like the fire breathers group in the responders from fallout 76. They really complement my red rocket MOC.
Wow these new sets have so many new features! And it looks great too, if there was a set like this when I was a kid maybe I would be interested the firefighter stuff, which I never really liked
I've always been a fan of Lego fire sets, this new one is quite cool, or hot if you will! The water pump is a good idea as such, even if it doesn't work very well, and true, the fires are too visible after you knock them out, a little mod would make it better, but in all, it's a great looking set, I've seen this set even before Christmas in stores! And that porter-potty that can be lifted off is just so funny!
I believe that the construction worker on the left is supposed to be a throwback to the construction sets of the early 2000s, hence the lack of detail.
That is really cool but i might wait till it goes cheaper cause id love to use it to teach Olivia community helpers but id also want it as a toy/ fun thing to do with a stop motion cause i love that fire truck
Nice review, but as some pointed out, the "water pump" is nothing I would like in a set. And the light and sound module isn't rely necessary. Is it even possible to change battery in it? The other play features are nice, and we can see more and more of that in all Lego models today. In my day we where happy if we had cars :-) And also one thing we had before was doors on our vehicles. Lego doesn't put doors that open any more on their cars and trucks. I know it's not necessary as we always open the roof to get the figure in and out. But I still miss the doors.
Definitely agree with you on the light/sound module. I'm sure kids love them as play features, but it feels kinda cheap and reminds me of low quality plastic toys. Dunno why but the regular light bricks feels ok to me, but this feels a lot stranger
My son has a Duplo version from 7 or so years ago, passed on from an older cousin.. It sounds and works the same and is still going strong, no battery changes. It is his favourite part. Definitely looking to get one of these for his Lego collection.
@@silverschannel8578 I like the regular bulky light bricks too, but I'm not fond of this one. Anyway, I wish Lego would make more light brick variants: smaller ones, longer ones, permanet light, on-off light etc.
It’s awesome that the fire-chief is a woman, but at least give her a mustache! Every LEGO fire-chief needs to have a mustache! As it currently stands, this set is completely unacceptable. If you were to add a mustache neck-bracket piece to the fire-chief, it would be perfect.
Most interesting part of this set has to be the light unit for me, Shame it isn't more like the old power functions where you can hold the button for a few seconds to keep it on for a few hours, Would be good for Moc's if that were the case.
Overall I like this set, might have to pick this one up. The truck and ladder are nice, but for some reason Lego refuses to make a proper ladder trailer with a control cab. Not a fan of the "water pump", but I like the new stud shooters. As far as the light and siren go, I am still on the fence. Thanks for sharing!!!
Wow, after seeing the review, I really like this set! I think the builds look nice all around, even though the building seems a little plain at a first look. I also really seem to like the helicopter, it looks very nice! The new shooters are nice, I really like them. The light and sound brick kinda stinks in my opinion, it’s not bright enough. I feel that this set provides enough good, long lasting play that makes sense! Great set, and great review Jang!
For the first time in forever it feels like the action features here are just gimmicks. The flames feel especially fiddly and more pain to deal with than they're really worth.
I dont understand why they bother making a tiller truck if they arent going to make the tiller truck properly, they may as well just make a straight truck rear mounted ladder. The whole point of having a tractor and trailer for fire apparatus is for the extra maneuveraibility, hence the cab they usually have at the back. You also get a lot more range of motion when the ladder is mounted in the middle and more stability too. Ah well /end rant lol
The new "water jet" function seems like a cool play feature, but I don't know about the big air squeezer, it's not very easy on the eyes. I also hope this new function isn't going cue too many inappropriate jokes.
The only problems I got are, the european style lights, the excessive equipment (I can see the helo being used for forest fires) and the ladder not being able to extend, otherwize i'm into the tiller truck.
When I first heard of a water pump from Lego, I though they were actually talking about a real liquid water pump. Quite disapointed in that part, but I guess my expectations wete too high.
@LEGO please incorporated stud shooters in every product line! The people loved it in star wars and we will most certainly love it in city. Absolutely no idea what would speak against that. You just witnessed irony
I like the concept but I don't like the play features like the new fire hose and the lights are very dim and not bright enough, the sound is very unrealistic and looks cheap. Still great set but much better if they will put real sounds and much better lights just like what playmobil did with their trucks.

Cool
Hi jang what are your thoughts on the avengers endgame minifigs that have been leaked?
Hi jangbricks
Nice 👍
So... Um....why am I in the comments...I should be watching the video? Right RIGHT
The building doesn't have stairs? Hey, that's a fire safety issue!
Guess why it's on fire!
jump out the window then life is over as we know it....or build you own ?
MASTER BUILD!
Actually im pretty sure its being built since its in a construction sight
@@swcshorty call the ambulance they just need to place your body parts

Some nice dark humor😂😂

LOL 8:36 "that feels good" Love watching this guy
I love the ‘extra pieces’ bit at the end of the videos.Very useful.
i like how the 2 axes are true to what firefighters use
Wish the pump was hidden somewhere in the vehicle. It sticking out looks to obvious. Also hoping they make new construction sets, judging from this set.
I can safely say as an adult, I don't want this, but as a kid I would love to get this. I think it's the perfect play set for kids
i'd set up the fire pieces around the spotlight area to pretend it's an electrical fire and have the canisters near it as a race against time for the firefighters
i really like the play feature of lifting up part of a portable toilet, knocking over the light, and hitting a big lever to start the fire. that's very clever. i'm just not pleased with how the water cannon looks
I like it. Colors remind me of the colouring of fire engines/utilities here in Australia. Thanks for the review Jang.

"It's made for kids" is not an excuse for a rubbish siren sound.
But it's made for kids
Agreed!
There are different siren sounds in different countries, lego city has a diffrent one too.
Yeah. It should have a proper sound especially because it's for kids.
Its the size, a small speaker or some other resonating device won't displace air as a bigger one would. I know you could say that earbuds and the speakers of a phone are small so may also be a power issue? Makes me wanna do some reseach 😅 thanks ✌

I think the implied story of this set is pretty good, it shows how much thought lego put into this
I don’t know about Canada, but in the US ladder trucks with trailers are almost always red because they’re owned by the county
Lol axe-cess gg
Definitely aiming the younger kids. Its like the step between lego junior and regular.
I love that they gave in-universe reasons for all of the fires
I think the fire fighting feature is really interesting and a great idea for kids.
Looking at the fire station released alongside this, I'd say she's a "Fire Technician" of sorts, not a chief. She operates a flying drone in that set, and that set has a character who wears a golden helmet (which has traditionally been the chief's helmet in past years).

1:45 omg the axes are so well camouflaged I can’t even see the red part
At 10:30 you should attack the base of the fire to get it out, just like irl
I love the new fire fighters this year because the looks like the fire breathers group in the responders from fallout 76. They really complement my red rocket MOC.

It’s a great set you are the best channel on UA-cam
That is really cool but i might wait till it goes cheaper cause id love to use it to teach Olivia community helpers but id also want it as a toy/ fun thing to do with a stop motion cause i love that fire truck
This set is one of only 3 sets I’m looking forward to this year 🤙
idk but that play feature with that water pump and popping out "water stream" reminds me alien's "tongue" jaw :P
I think the designer is a fan of the first Werner movie.
This a crossover between two lego city themes construction and fire but i could be wrong
AXess!! Ha!! Well done Jang
8:40 good one jang...
I mean it is pretty *Axes* sible
No one axes for another joke
I didnt know you had a timer for the building channel. Its almost like you're speed running it. Guess ill check it now
If u are wondering why there are not stairs, its because the buildings being built, thats why its in a construction sight

Dis you notice the lion heads that were before this set exclusive to Market Street
I remember those car doors, the 1 brick high ones that swivelled around on 1 stud. Yeah, they used to be on every car.

WAIT UP!!! The 2 lion heads were before now exclusive to Market Street... WOO HOO i dont have to pay like £80 for just 1
Love the new action feature pieces thingys!

The firefighter with the brown torso is Ann Brickouski
I think a lot of these new features seem pretty interesting, altho they do feel kinda not Lego like and more like non buildable toys.
I'm been waiting for this review
Best channel on UA-cam STILL!!! 2019 best channel of the year
8:14 I'm guessing the stairs are probably past the facade part of the build; typical Lego, haha.
this i really cool kinda want to get it im a big fan of your reviews
Do you have to build the fire truck siren? Because if you do build the siren, Lego should make it red and blue instead of just blue.
3:09 they should youse that for Star Wars space ship stets as a new laser system!
I thought that ”air bulb” was to put water inside and be able to squirt out. LEGO there’s a good idea. Also who else heard that pun at 8:39?
lights only mode will be like nobell prize idea
Great review Jang!
I'd love to see a fire fighter on a Busa
Wow, after seeing the review, I really like this set! I think the builds look nice all around, even though the building seems a little plain at a first look. I was waiting for this vid for SO LONG. THX LOL
Thank you, Jang, very cool!
Cool
For the first time in forever it feels like the action features here are just gimmicks. The flames feel especially fiddly and more pain to deal with than they're really worth.
I think the minifigure in white is actually a technician or engineer
You missed very important thing - This set has a fair poster - The fair set will be next minifigure pack!
I’m so excited I’m getting it for Christmas it will go well with my burger bar rescue
Finally new design 😍😍

The port a potty I can imagine a Lego figure going HEYYY IM POOPING

I love your reviews!
I have the smaller fire station for 2019 and I love it!
No option to shoot real water? What? Why even bother with that weird feature
Nick Lock if the stickers get wet they will peel off
And the light siren would probably break
Guys, th-that’s the joke..
Great review buddy!!
OMG i've noticed that you sound exactly like another youtuber called( lazy game reviews ) ita mind blowing !!!!
Fire sets are cool and all but.... dont we have enough of them?
I love this set.
Looks like strobe lighting. Sorta realistic?
Awesome but today everything is awesome beceause I’ve made my first The LEGO Movie 2 minifigs opening!😀
who else is looking at these sets for the vehicles
Quite a large set. Would love to know how you get GNAJ Brick’s voice down so well though!
I feel like this is a step down from the 2016 set.
When I first heard of a water pump from Lego, I though they were actually talking about a real liquid water pump. Quite disapointed in that part, but I guess my expectations wete too high.
I’m gonna re-enact the portapotty gag from police academy 4
@LEGO please incorporated stud shooters in every product line! The people loved it in star wars and we will most certainly love it in city. Absolutely no idea what would speak against that.
You just witnessed irony
I really want to get my hands on this.
can you remove the trans-blue pieces on the light bar to potentially swap them out for other colors?
been waiting for this review since i saw the building video!
Ima save up for this set i like it owo
If its got a porta potty then you know it's got to be good
This is really cool
So the building could be pretty much anything you want it to be
William I combined mine with the Hotel from Capital city set they work well together with limited left over parts
You seem to be having to much fun with the "water" shooters in this set
I like the concept but I don't like the play features like the new fire hose and the lights are very dim and not bright enough, the sound is very unrealistic and looks cheap. Still great set but much better if they will put real sounds and much better lights just like what playmobil did with their trucks.
It would be easier if you use the air pumping thing like you did last time then it will be faster
is it weird, that id be happy just with the construction crane
Is it just me or does the new siren piece sound like an old Duplo one?
