Crazy story. So much of 19th century politics seemed to revolve around anti-Catholicism, yet it's such a minor issue today. In Canada, it was a huge force as well, Quebec Act notwithstanding. The degree we now just think of "Christians" as this unified political blob in North America, naturally allied across denominational differences and united by common interests, is a really unprecedented modern phenomenon we just completely take for granted. I've often wondered how long paranoia of the Brits lasted in the US. Whenever I do a video talking about how anti-American Canadians and the Canadian government are/were, some people always say "well the Americans were very anti-British as well." But despite the revolution, and the 1812 War, it doesn't really seem like anti-British sentiment was a particularly powerful political force in US politics. But I could be wrong about that.
Anti-British sentiment in the U.S. was mostly gone by the 1860s. There was a brief flare-up during the American Civil War due to the British blockade runners and the Trent Affair.
Discrimination against the Catholic Irish [and later the Italians] was a real thing even into the 20th Century, notably in Boston, MA. Then we were able to eventually take over the government. When I was in school, the required Bible and Lord's Prayer were KJV, but 60% of my classes were Catholic [Irish majority but some German, Polish and Italian kids]. The mention of the Masons as part of a Catholic conspiracy was weird, because they were anti-Catholic, Catholics were forbidden to join, and the church started the Knights of Columbus to counter it. This was a very interesting video. Was the Canadian Assassination Conspiracy [involving the Canadian government, the St. Albans raid launched at the US from Canada, etc. ] in order to not offend you JJ? As a fan of your videos, I'm sure you would have been interested rather than offended. It is interesting even if debunked. I will be sharing the video. Best wishes to all.

If you’re really interested in the subject there is a lot more information out there. General Thomas Harris who is on the Lincoln assassination tribunal wrote a book about it and believed Rome to be the culprit. Also the inventor of Morse code Samuel Morris wrote a book about it also. Lincolns own personal writings state that he was afraid of the Jesuits and that they may try to assassinate him. People never read the writings of the people who were involved in this and what they thought and also the protestants. The conflict comes from the protestant belief that Rome and the pope is the antichrist. To dismiss the antichrist controversy is to dismiss history entirely. I was really surprised that there was no mention of the Jesuit order in your analysis. The Jesuits are the key to understanding the bloody history of the protestant reformation and even into the Lincoln assassination. I hope this will help if you’re really interested in this. It is a fascinating subject and it is unbelievable how much it has shaped our history. The two keys are understanding Rome and the pope as the antichrist and who the Jesuits were and their goals. If you don’t understand those two keys you cannot make sense out of our history. Good luck I have been learning about this myself and it is fascinating and the evidence keeps getting more overwhelming. 14:06

So did anybody in the comments or the maker of the video actually read the book 50 years in the Church of Rome? It’s a tough read I will grant you that. I would just say it’s writer benefited very little from his story. And when one actually begins to look into the assassination and all of the coincidences surrounding it. It becomes very interesting to say the least. One last observation, I find it fascinating that a UA-camr can dismiss the entire book based on a “mis-translation” of a letter from the pope. I will look harder for your citations to see were that fact came from. To be clear I am not saying the story is true or that I believe it. I just find the book compelling and it’s dismissal flippant. Otherwise ty for the content. Oh and according to some of the other comments I have several details misaligned or just flat out wrong. May want to check on that. Ty again!
Dude he had evidences against the theory besides the mis translated letter. Boothe's questionable status as a catholic, the fact that the Pope wanted the war over, and the fact that Jon Surrat, who was supposedly working with the Pope to assassinate Lincoln, was arrested by the Vatican for his part in the assassination.
How about the letter of Lincoln himself speaking about the evil Jesuits and their horrible deeds? Look for this letter from Lincoln... and it will add to your view.
I’m reading “The Suppressed Truth About The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln” By Burke McCarty. I’m going to read it”Chiniquy’s Book next‼️‼️ Meant to read his first but this mentions him and his book several times. I believe it‼️‼️
You got the order of English kings wrong. Charles II was king before James II. Very simplified history, by the way. Chiniquy conspiracy theary was pure paranoia - and remember, hard-core Southern protestantism, as in the Ku Lkux Klan, hated Jews and Catholics as much as they hated blacks.
A UA-cam presentation loses credibility when they get established history wrong. At 5:08 the author says the sequence of succession was Charles I, James II, Charles II when actually Charles II preceded James II. No big deal but you wonder what else did he get wrong. Needs proof reading.
"If ever there was a Congregation of men who merited eternal perdition on earth and in hell it is this Society of Loyola's." John Adams to President Jefferson, May 6, 1816, Founders Archive Gov.

Share what you learn with as many as possible and sow the seed that the Lord will use to arouse many and lead to salvation. The Suppressed Truth About The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln Fifty Years In The Church Of Rome
If anything in this conspiracy is true, it's not surprising since after the Battle of the Boyne, the Pope of the day said a _Te Deum_ in celebration of the Protestant king William of Orange's victory over the Catholic James II Stuart.
Most of those who oppose freemasonry do so because they associate it with paganism or the occult which provides plenty of reason for Protestants to oppose it too.
Casual Historian: I have a question about one of Chiniquy's claims which you didn't address in the video: the claim that there was, during the Civil War, a letter addressed to the Catholic bishops of the US which purportedly characterized Lincoln as an "apostate," suggesting (untruthfully) that he had once been Catholic. Chiniquy reasoned that this charge placed a bull's eye on Lincoln's back, that faithful Catholics who found him in their crosshairs would be obliged to take the shot. He also claimed of this would-be letter that it would have called upon faithful Catholics to desert the Union army, and defect to the South. Have you ever come across evidence for such a letter?
There is no such letter outside of Chiniquy's own works, or the works of those quoting him. When it comes to Lincoln's religious beliefs there isn't much info.
It's amusing to hear a Canadian get the order of the Stuart kings wrong. The way I remember that succession is, JCCJ - James I to Charles I to Charles II to James II. The last two of whom have since been acknowledged by historians to have been lifelong Catholics.
5:05 that's a mistake, Charles the 2nd came after charles the 1st, then James, who was a Catholic himself due to his wife or mistress I belive, and due to him being catholic, another civil war came, and they remained prodestent ever since
Thank you for pointing out that often over looked part of our history and culture. We were not founded as a Christian nation, but we are most definitely a Protestant one.

Enjoyed the video, however Charles I was beheaded and much later succeeded by his son, Charles II, and not his other son, James II. James succeeded Charles II on his death, Charles having no legitimate children, and James II was later deposed and his daughter Mary and son-in-law William became the first and only joint monarchs regnant in English history.

@Fuk U the truth is always hidden or blamed on others...
How about the letter of Lincoln himself speaking about the evil Jesuits and their horrible deeds? Look for this letter from Lincoln... and it will add to your view.
Well I read Father Chiniquy's book and believe it.
I’m reading “The Suppressed Truth About The Assassination Of Abraham Lincoln” By Burke McCarty. I’m going to read it”Chiniquy’s Book next‼️‼️ Meant to read his first but this mentions him and his book several times. I believe it‼️‼️
Great job! Love the videos
J.J was a pleasant surprise.
Okay, so who is the gentleman in the grey suit at the end?
"This bloody war would have never happened if it weren't for those damn jesuits" Abraham Lincoln
"If ever there was a Congregation of men who merited eternal perdition on earth and in hell it is this Society of Loyola's." John Adams to President Jefferson, May 6, 1816, Founders Archive Gov.
I suggest getting a copy of these books, the first by Burke McCarthy and the second by Charles Chiniquy. Share what you learn with as many as possible and sow the seed that the Lord will use to arouse many and lead to salvation.
The Suppressed Truth About The Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
Fifty Years In The Church Of Rome
I suggest that you read Brigadier HARRIS'S BOOKS !
There was no Québec flag at that time . How come it was placed here ?
If anything in this conspiracy is true, it's not surprising since after the Battle of the Boyne, the Pope of the day said a _Te Deum_ in celebration of the Protestant king William of Orange's victory over the Catholic James II Stuart.
Very poor knowledge of the reasons that led Americans to a Civil War. Poor history content.
14:58. Putting John’s green screen memes to good use
That is not John green, instead it's John Douglas of jacksflims
Christian Weibrecht I know. He used a green screen to make those memes
@@SeanA099 oh when you said John's green I thought you referring to John green of vlog brothers
Sequel?
Could you do a video on the Credit Mobilier scandal?
How can one be anti-catholic and anti-massonic?
Most of those who oppose freemasonry do so because they associate it with paganism or the occult which provides plenty of reason for Protestants to oppose it too.
John Quincy Adams and Millard Fillmore was anti-masons
Oath to the order of the Jesuits? Controlled opposition might be an older concept then you can imagine
It's amusing to hear a Canadian get the order of the Stuart kings wrong. The way I remember that succession is, JCCJ - James I to Charles I to Charles II to James II. The last two of whom have since been acknowledged by historians to have been lifelong Catholics.
def casual
Check out “foreign conspiracy against the liberties of the United States “ by Samuel Morse
Morse knew for sure.
@@Scout-bt3mo Which is truly interesting, isn't it? I should have been clearer. When I say Protestant, I mean it in the sense that the Catholic church has always been regarded with suspicion. We got it from England.
learning about how Catholics used to be perceived and treated in america , makes me angry at my catholic relatives when they demonize Muslims because their repeating the cycle
grant, can you make a video about the evolution of the church of latter day saints?
There is not a single case in history were tolerance of muslims have a good ending.
There are so many errors in this. The Jesuits had nothing to do with this. Booth was not a Catholic - I know one of his descend 13:23 ants and I am a descendent of the hothead who fired the first shot. He was a Ruffin and he committed suicide when the south surrendered.
Insects.
Nice try bud
Unfounded? You and I have more research to do.
i remember a letter that the pope did not to anything to condemn the confederates and the people knew the marbles made for the Washington monument when it was built it was destroyed by the people they throw the marbles donated by the pope bec of this and sympathy to the confederates
this is what i remember
are we still under Marshall law ?
Move 500 years forward. Wow, it will be obvious who it was. Don't confuse yourselves so much.

Except this guy has class and talent, and a knowledge base!
My Mother she was orange My Farther he was green & it was the biggest Bloody mix up that youv` ever seen !
Glad you caught that.
is it safe to assume Lincoln himself never made attempts at the pope?
You're fishing...
The papacy is evil. This system is the antichrist.
During the dark ages, The papacy killed 50 million Christians, hung them for owning a Bible and being a Christian.
A bush league “historian”. Words mean nothing to this “historian”.
A religion who is political & has a murderous history is is always a suspect of conspiracy❤❤

This protestant non-Catholicism seems crazy today but in the future the Islamophobia of today will seem crazy to future generations.
Nope. ,Islam will always be seen as a disgusting vile culture that has no place in the West. Fuck ISLAM
I doubt that you can’t really compare the 2 different situations

Long story short, don’t get your American history from Chiniquy or his admirers like the late cartoonist Jack Chick.

There are two Catholic Hierarchies.
So aside from this exposing Christians video...how many times have you done a exposing Jews video? Let me guess...zero. Find out who you cannot criticize and you will discover who rules over you.
Have you got any links ? On the subject ??? Hard to come by
@@johnscanlon2598 Sorry I can't put years of research into a link on youtube. If you are smart...you will seek out knowledge on your own...and the amount of documentation on this subject is endless.
The fact I owned the Who Really Killed Abraham Lincolm video documentary in vhs, way back in days and believed every bit.😫🤣🤣
Anti Catholicism??? It was the French who delivered the freedoms we know since 1776
I never heard this before...it's an absurd story. Really cool approach to it as well.
You shouldn't make presumptions on what people know or don't know.
Just because I didn't know of a conspiracy theory from the 1800s doesn't mean I am unaware of american history.
Takes more time explaining the catholic protestant schism, poorly I might add then speaking on the actual subject matter
