Anyone who's ever dumped too much olive oil onto coals while grilling with tell you how bitter and terrible that smoke made that dish taste. Completely ruined.
@unclassified: Are you just here to insult me? That's not cool. Do you associate smoke with fire? Isn't meth, weed, coke, something you smoke? That has negative health, you know that. What do you mean it's not being charred. You already have a burnt piece of charcoal in there. Maybe you have a special talent, where if you were with an obese woman you could shut your eyes and suddenly she's a thin hard body, and think there's no fat, this is a no-fat...
Young man forgive me for repeating myself but OMG. So much talent, personality without saying a word and truly a master of all chefs. Food always appealing. You are a special young man.

Wow I never knew marinating meat was a new thing, I thought it had been happening for thousands of years! (Indeed Turmeric is the first thing I think of if I'm thinking of thinking about Japan)
If anyone doesn’t like watching anything on UA-cam why not exist the show without the negative comments in heaven’s name is there a better chef on UA-cam than this one
probably something cheaper like flank, shoulder, The leaner half of the whole Brisket also known as the "first cut," guessing something tougher as he tenderized and marinated.
thank you so much you still make my day great am sold on your food frying is getting old am not stock in the past i love moving forward to new things in all aspect of life
Well. These are nice alternatives for beef. However its too much work for when ur in the mood for a salt and pepper pan seared peice of beef. So delicious and easy perfect for eggs or a salad.
Webspoon world we're not sure if they're chefs or cinematographers By far one of rhe best food channels Very artistic Nicely done mate keep up the great work you guys do Y'all are amazing 👍
Frying the meat for some browning and color then sautéing the other ingredients and adding the meat back to braise would only make these dishes that much better.
This is simmering & slow cooking by steam flavor infusion. Gotta leave the art of cooking to a civilization that has withstood the test of time. Hats off to the chef. I’d eat at their restaurant anytime. Oishi desu ne👍
The first technique is braising the beef which is not a replacement for frying. Its completely different. The second technique is pan frying, which is still frying but with less oil....
I think it's hilarious that people don't know the difference between fry (Sautee) and braise and instead of complaining about that squeaky music they comment in error. The second dish the chef did use a sautee method, looks good too..
It's good to see that Asians adopt European culture. I eat sushi. And I make more traditional Asian dishes. Maybe not use fish sauces a lot but every other ingredient makes sense. Especially for your hygiene. And I cook Paleo. Which will help you out a lot. Like, more than you know.
The first recipe looks a little too fancy for me with the charcoal but that second one looks awesome! What's not to love about beef, mushrooms, onions and cheese? Yummy!!
@@janina8559 Yay!! I am always happy to see another Janina! You are right, we are few and far between. I'm in Canada and my parents were from Russia and Poland.

Having a very hard believing it's japanese style, when I have seen my mom cook chicken this way everytime!!!
Definitely INDIAN!
Anyone who's ever dumped too much olive oil onto coals while grilling with tell you how bitter and terrible that smoke made that dish taste. Completely ruined.
yeah, Olive Oil has a really low smoke point and is not good burned.
The trick with charcoal and olive oil, I have never seen it. It give the food a smoky flavor? Looks delicious.
Do not use charcoal indoors..carbon monoxide poisoning..
Anything burnt is carcinogenic for humans when we eat it, and that means cancer-causing.
I use liquid smoke, it is easier.

He’s from Eastern Europe : it’s actually Five minutes craft revamped 😏
Okay that charcoal on the stove omg gave me so many ideas to achieve smokey flavor without a grill

Hello old man!!
@@laurapavone3513 excuse me i am a woman.
Absolutely you are master of master chefs.
Don't know who is editing these Vids, but please never stop. Brilliant!
Just FYI: This is "Braising" not frying, braising means to cook slowly in a small amount of liquid.
Also take note, as he is using cheaper cuts of meat which are often more flavorful and braising makes them much more tender

Anytime I see red pepper and turmeric I immediately know it’s NOT a Japanese affair
4:39 - I’m totally gonna take your advice to stop frying meat by frying it instead.
I would add the spices to the mixer to get an even distribution. Maybe these are done in clumps to show it for the camera. Makes me crazy, lol.
BEEF! Looks delicious. I love that smoking technique.

My smoke alarm definitely would sound off. Have too go outside/ remove lid ..

Those look amazing. What cut of beef are you using/do you suggest for those?
Looks to me like he was using what we call in the US as Top sirloin which is usually sold already cut into steaks in stores unless you know a butcher.
These are beef and pork loins
Well. These are nice alternatives for beef. However its too much work for when ur in the mood for a salt and pepper pan seared peice of beef. So delicious and easy perfect for eggs or a salad.
Helleva lot of work for one meal!
This is a typical Indian dish , being an India I will say that looks fine , idk about the taste but definitely your sauce requires more kick
Buchers in Puerto rico been doing this for many yrs!!
I never read don't fry meat, I skipped right to Japanese trick is taking over the world and was like yum what is it? I'm so hungry now lol.
Ok, I like beef. I like it cooked in just about every way. But I do enjoy it when it's seared, on a grill or in a pan👍😊
whoah!!! totally admiring how you incorporated that smoke flavor! nice!
Thanks, I will not try to be hungry while making food!
I love how there is no wasted movement in your videos.
That camera shot with the frying pan's reveal was dope
The addition of the charcoal is interesting.
The best way to cook steak is seasoning with salt & pepper and sear it in the hot pan for 2-3 min per side and put it into the oven...
As others have asked, what type of beef roast are you using?
very pure spices used
The charcoal briquet in the middle with olive oil? That was awesome.
I was thinking it is a good way to bring that smoke flavor. Also, I was thinking it is a good way to set off my apartment's fire alarm.
Why?
Thanks for sharing
Cool!
......soooo you just put Cooking Oil on a piece of Charcoal and it starts smoking.... Wow.... Some magic trick

What does burning olive oil on charcoal do for the dish? Does it add pleasant aroma?
The first technique is braising the beef which is not a replacement for frying. Its completely different. The second technique is pan frying, which is still frying but with less oil....
Don’t fry meat: mix a lot of spices
Me: hold my salt
Literally just a example of chemical tenderizing. Cool vid none the less. I'm sure ppl will be in awe.
Braised meat is amazing. Can’t wait to try.
