- In this video I will show you how to plug an FM Transmitter to your light show using a Raspberry Pi Running Falcon Controller.
Where to buy.
FM Transmitter: Amazon, many choices
www.amazon.com...
RaspBerry PI : www.amazon.com...
Awesome channel!! I'm going to start my hobby next season and your video are going to help me get started.
Keep making the great video.
Hey Danny. Happy new year!. It's an awesome and rewarding hobby. I am glad I inspired you. Good luck.
Your videos are the BEST!!! Bought the transmitter from Amazon. Keep it up!
Thanks you very much for your words. Highly appreciated. Let me know if I can be of any help.
Can you add a fm transmitter to the Gemma orchestra I’d lights setup from Lowes? They have a speaker box you can buy that goes with the set, but now sure how you could hook up a transmitter for passerbys to enjoy your show as well.
If the lights have an audio output jack, then yes.
Josh do you know if you can hook up a transmitter to the Gemma?
Thank you for all your videos. I'm learning so much
Can I transmit audio off F16V4 controller without Raspberry PI device?
Hey Randy, thank you so much for your words and for watching my videos. Yes, you can run your show from the F16V4. But you will need to buy an '"Audio Board" for your controller. Then you can connect your FM transmitter to this card. See below.

@trevilights thank you!! I have a question for you I have the ws2811 lights and puck lights how can I control both of them on the same controller, Apparently, the v4 only takes one type of light. Am I wrong if so how to fix it
@@randyqario6707 Falcon can control different tope of lights, but only one type of light per port. I guess it will come down to what type of puck lights you have and if they have a chip compatible with the V4. They should have at least 3 wires, positive, negative and data.
great! simple! it works!
Thanks for watching.
I like your vedio
very simple and explained so good for people like me who are new into this.
my question about transmitting over the radio :
is the light and the music match really good and there is no delay?
because am assuming there well be a delay and mismatch and they won't look exactly like you see it when sequencing on your Pc ?
How do you waterproof the transmitter? It doesn’t look like it will fit in the waterproof box with the antenna
@@matthewrobins1360 In my case, the controller is inside my garage as well of the transmitter.
@ how far is your show from the controller do you lose power as it travels to the edge of your yard?
@@matthewrobins1360 All my elements are about 15ft. I lights are 12v. I also have some secondary power supplies from which I do power injection.
Hi .. is there any product to do a Christmas light show with fm transmitter??
Hey Joe, Can you expand on your questions? I don't quite understand it.
Good video
Hi Trevi. I wonder how the 2022 show looks like.
Saludos desde Salt Lake City
Hey Miki, I added some smart Icicles to the roof line and made my mega twice as tall. thanks for asking.
@@trevilights i hope u can make a video of it to see the new stuff in action
@@Djtragedias will do.
I made a 48 channel controller box, 120v 48 outlet plugs. I developed a couple sequences from your you tube channel. I have a Ardunio Mega and a Raspberry PI4. I can use their one. It used X lights to make my sequences. Great job on sequencing video. I’m using 6 Sainsmart 8 channel solid state relay boards. Everything works when I power it up. I need to know which device is best for my setup. The Ardunio or Raspberry. I need to know you to connect them to xlights sequences and how to download them to get my sequences to run. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hi John. Good for you. I see that are already getting ready for this year. I do not have any experience with Arduino. I has just looking at the FPP (Falcon Player) specs I only see 2 devices compatible with it. The Raspberry PI and the BeagleBone, so I would stick to one of those. I have a video on how to upload your sequences to your FPP that might help you. So all you will have to do is upload your sequences to the FPP and point the FPP player to the IP address of the Falcon Controller (if you have one). The thing here is that your setup is so different that what I have, that is hard for me to give you any advice on it. I can see that yo have spend quite some time and $$ on your setup, but I might be worth it to move into the Addressable LED (12v DC) world.
How to upload your xlights sequecnes.

Thank you again . I’m moving into the 12Volt pixel world but I bought a Led mini tree to learn with. I doing this one tree for my Sister as a gift. I want to put 5 or so sequences on the tree for her. Her tree will be 120 Volts. Thank you again your a pro.
@@johnjahner3389 Glad to help.
Suerte.
hi Trevi !! interesting video. Best regards
Thanks Eduardo. Happy new year!
Do you need to turn on the fm transmitter manually everytime your show starts or does it turn on automatically when the Pi powers up? Thankyou.
Hey snistr. What I have been doing is using a timer. The timer will disconnect the controller and the FM transmitter at night. I have noticed that if the FM transmitter is ON when disconnected, when the timer turns ON the FM transmitter will do too. Seems it remembers that last state it was when disconnected. Not sure if other FM transmitters will do the same.
Thanks for a lot of informative videos. Hope you got a new microphone for christmas😁😁😁🎤🎤🎤
Thanks for your comments...and believe it or not I just got a microphone. Came in yesterday. LOL.
