A million thank you's! I used this to set up dumb lights controlled with my Kulp 16A-B board connected to one of the RS485 outputs, so a few things looked different with my set up. I did not use an RJ45/Ethernet cable, just a 3 wire cable for data. I had to locate the settings referencing ttyS1 in the channel outputs under "other" in the FPP. Otherwise the xlights settings and process were the same. Your video was a huge help.
Thank You for all your help. Some day when you are bored make video on connecting 4 controllers to the computer to run four singing trees. Great, Great learning experiences gained in your videos. Again thank You
That you very much for the video! I have been searching for a way to use my AC light with Xlights and my Kulp controller. I bought a 12 port relay and it is working. Thanks again!
Hi John. Good to know. I think your bigger challenge will be to sync the movements of the mouth to the music since you are going to turn it on/off fast and frequently.
It's 12 volts The board will light up and get an ethernet signal with 5, but the relays won't work. Believe me....I tried it! lol Also, the manual is online when you order, there is a pic. It doesn't come with one. May need to set Dip Switches and decyphering that takes a bit of time. Wish you could have covered that Trevi. Also.....you don't mention that it is a 12 volt power supply! Had to double check that with the doucumentation online....but other than that, great video. You were my inspiration to go out and get one!!! Now I have to get it to work! lol Halfway there.

I will also be controlling regular pixel lights with it. My question is 1) which port is DMX/LoR on? 2) When I put DMX effect on it turns ALL lights on connected to the LoR ports. How do I configure individual lights connected to each of the 16 ports? Thanks in advance?
Unfortunately I know nothing on how the LOR controller works. My closest guess is that you look closely on the Channels your using on the DMX elements as well as on the controller. Sorry I can not be of any help here.

Hey Reynold, how are you? Great video. Question for you. Can I run a smart receiver off my F16V3 using all 4 ports and also use port #3 for DMX? If not how can I use both a smart receiver and DMX?

Hi there. Thanks for watching. The Falcon controller can control many different type of lights, but you will have to find out the type of integrated circuit they have and do a lot of testing.
You are doing a great job instructing your subscribers on the different Christmas light setups and equipment. I have 4 singing trees, 4 DMX controllers, I'm using Mini LED Christmas light strings. I understand how to hookup the 120 Volt lights to the controller. Each of the controllers need a Ethernet plug to go the main controller. What do you recommend plugging the RJ45 plugs into. Should I plug all the 4 RJ45 plugs into ethernet distribution hub or what is the best way to complete my setup. all recommendations will be appreciated.
Thanks John for your comments. My DMX setup is very simple, just because we are using RJ45 connectors does not mean that we can just plug it onto an Ethernet hub. We are using Ethernet wiring to run DMX signal. If your setup was a TRUE DMX over Ethernet Protocol then you could use a simple Ethernet hub. Now, you could use RJ45 to DMX adaptors and then use a DMX splitter. My advice is to keep things simple, do not overthink it. I like the idea of daisy chain DMX devices and the signal can travel for hundreds of feet. Thanks for watching.
