I used to use tiny hooks in the UK thinking it was an edge on waters with no weed. I think I catch more now on big hooks now.

I was just wondering, if possible where the lake you were Fishing is located. My dad lives in The tarn et Garonne area and we are quite interested in them big bream as well as the carp !!

Sorry..that lake is no where near the Garonne/Tarn area..that region is not known for its big lakes.
On the other hand there’s some great fishing to be had where the Tarn flows into the Garonne. Cracking feeder fishing there for decent Roach & bream 👌🏻🎣 had many a good day there
