What a kick for goal remember the good old days year after year the battle especially between Plugger & Dunstall and not to mention the other legends in GAS for e.g as well. His record will probably never be broken going to take some effort to certainly do so:)
There were only 2 footballers that I wanted my young son to see play. One was Ablett snr and the other was Tony Lockett. He is much prouder of the fact that he saw Bob Dylan live. Oh well!
I love how he usually just reacted like "yep, did me job" after kicking a goal. Today's players have to carry on like they've just kicked GOTY to win the game after every goal. Not him. He kicked em all the time and twice as good and four times in his sleep. He was just that fkn good.
Once when he was in a grand final he kicked "7 goals 2 point" and the other team altogether had kicked "7 goals and 2 points. That was his whole teams score except for a point that some else kicked for them that one the game
A man who should of been the greatest didnt make it because he had no guidance he got offered to go to the afl many times but said no because he thought that he was getting paid fine in the league he was playing in its a shame no one was there to tell him otherwise he would have been a legend
There really was/is only one Tony Lockett. Amazing footballer
Tony Lockett the best and greatest AFL player ever.
And Stevan Silvagni one of the grratest defenders
Absolute star.

Tony and gary Ablett were the best full forwards of that era,and probably the best ever too
Buddy Franklin is better than Tony and Ablett
They’re all great forwards mate,I reckon tony had it over them all though
@@andrewh9613 Ok I respect your opinion
I thought Jason Dunstall was definately in the conversation for best of that era. Had a great overhead mark and very quick on the lead
Best elbows in the game
Brute

Amazing footballer. Although not a very pleasant man.

North Hobart actually I believe! Fitzroy sold a few home games off there in the early 90s
