@@AngelLestat2 Actually a lot of people say Anya is like Cordelia but NO, Anya does that and says what comes to her mind in an innocent type of way because she genuinely doesn't know how to communicate as a normal human, Cordelia knows she's being harsh and blunt.

That's why they're buddies, they know that she'll always tell them her ideas, so they can count on her to be honest. And sometimes, especially in what might be rightly referred to as spiritual warfare, you really do need an honest colleague to keep you well-grounded and solidly on the ground to stand on and defend yourself.
I love how this fits perfectly with the characters. Cordelia says exactly what she thinks. And not only Willow is always so insecure, but she is so smart that she manages to say something while thinking a completely different thing.
It is impossible to not think, but it isn't impossible to not word-think. I don't know if she'd pick up picture-thoughts or concept-thoughts or vague-sort-of-not-really-thoughts, since everyone here is just word-thinking. That being said, tell someone not to think and they will immediately begin word-thinking.
What?! What drugs are you on?! As a matter of fact, its impossible to say something while thinking something else, you lying twat. And multiple thoughts? Again, that's humanely impossible. It's like "doing multiple things with your right hand at the same time" or "I can walk and run at the same time"! Gosh, what an idiot.
@@AnarchistPoop Yeah I agree with you you gotta think about what you're saying when you saying it, but at the same time you can think of something else while speaking, not thinking of sentences or speech unrelated to what you're saying but other concepts or images
@Chanel Oberlin I'd say Willows case is still peculiar because she was making a full long sentence while thinking about something completely unrelated and it's linked to how she always unnerved, has anxiety and insecure always asking herself questions and thinking so fast about her shortcomings and insecurities in a neurotic way

Whereas the others mostly think things that they then don't then say, Cordelia says everything she thinks because she's such a brutally honest character. I like how that's portrayed here, it's a clever touch.
Loved this whole sequence - Willow so sweet and worried, Oz deep in existential philosophy, and best of all Cordelia just streaming her immediate thoughts :D
The contrast between Oz's and Xander's thoughts always kill me 😄😄❤️
Oz has the deepest thoughts but doesn't speak, Willow says something completely different than what she's thinking, Xander is the typical teenage boy with a singular topic on his mind, and Cordelia says what she thinks and is completely clueless
It was actually quite funny, because until then, Oz was amazingly silent, never spoke and nobody had the slightest idea whatever was going through his mind.
And when we glimpse his mind, we witness him having ridicilous new age philosophical thoughts that make no sense at all.
Well they do make sense. If we assume everything we truly are as a being is what's inside our own private heads, someone being able to share those thoughts would also take a part of us into themselves, which will make us exist in more than one place at once at best, cease to exist as our own unique self at worst.

@@subutaynoyan5372 it has to do with the psychological and philosophical theory that assess individuals are only defined by our innermost thoughts and with Buffy being a telepath meaning that she's the only true person because she herself will be the only one have her own individual thought
Essentially by extension meaning that Buffy is the collective and all those around her are just extensions of herself and internal thoughts.
Little bit simpler it's a fancy way of making a joke about the fact that none of them would exist without her because she's the main character.

It's a duality thing. On the one hand, as obnoxious and annoying as Cordelia might be at times, she is also bluntly honest and doesn't pretend to be someone she's not but on the other hand, it also shows how shallow she can be and that her thoughts are no deeper then her actions.

I really missed Cordelia after the 3rd season, I mean look at this! She was always hilarious!
Anya fit the boots pretty well tho.
I didn't miss Cordelia really. She had little purpose on the show after any character development she got was thrown out the window during Lover's Walk and she never thanked Buffy for saving her sorry butt more than once. She became a much better character in Angel: The Series.
+huntcd2012 Cordelia felt Buffy was supposed to save her because that's Buffy's job. She felt entitled. Cordelia was pretty narcissistic. But she definitely served a purpose otherwise they would not have put her on Angel.

I liked her growth and character in Angel, but I almost miss the old Cordelia - she was entertaining to watch.

Faith wouldn´t have allowed to be placed near Buffy for a second under that situation given she didn´t know if she wanted to be Buffy or wanted Buffy, Angel made a big impact in her life but I feel like Faith always wanted to be loved by Buffy more than anything.

Oz is wrong because even if Buffy can connect to their thoughts, she cant feel their feelings. She cant feel the what creates the thoughts. So she is just information, not a source and therefore not more than just herself. And even the information is lacking due to processing speeds and depth. She seems to hear only one at a time and even if she could hear all how much could she comprehend at once? Only surface thoughts and from too many people at once and with only that she'd be overwhelmed with too much information. Therefore Oz is still necessary and not made secondary by her.

😂 Cordelia was always one of my favourites, even before she left Sunnydale
One thing I love that I never noticed before is that with Cordelia there is literally no difference because she always just says exactly what she is thinking. I have autism which makes it extremely difficult to read other people so the idea of a beautiful woman being completely open is very appealing to me.
