Wanting to get these for my 21 ZR2 Dusk Edition. Do you have a link for the license plate bulbs you used? Or is it the same bulb as used in the interior? Just wanting to get the right thing.
Same as the interior.
Do you worry about the bulbs fading the plastic headlight cover
No. These generate very little heat from my findings. My hid kit generated more heat in my Z71 colorado and it didn't cause any issues after 2.5 years.
I just got a 2022. Do you know if these would fit?
Well I just did the install to include the switchbacks and it’s a serious upgrade even in daylight. Besides needing a couple new plastic pins to replace ones I had to pop out to access the passenger side bulbs, it wasn’t a horrible experience! Thanks for making these videos they’re a HUGE help and provide some awesome ideas to make the ZR2 even better.

Definitely a good modification for any vehicle 🚗 to improve the light output not only for looks but more importantly the safety standards.
There’s no reason a 2021 vehicle that costs 45-50k should have old halogen bulbs 💡 in them. If I am blessed enough to get one in a monthly payment that I can afford I will definitely look into doing the same thing and reference this video. Thank you for sharing.

I had LEDs then i did the 4TL-R retrofit projectors, no opening the headlights they fit right in and the output is way better than stock even with LEDs.

Hi, I've got a 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition in Summit White. I absolutely love my truck. Can you link the license plate led lights? I'm having trouble finding them. So far, I've only swapped out the reverse lights with LEDs, stock was horrible. I'm going to replace all interior lights.Thank you.

I have identical lasfits highs and lows in mine. Both lows make a loud whirring sound as soon as the lights turn on. This is my second set of the exact same lights and both sets make the sound. It's the fan hitting the aluminum housing or something. You ever had this? Any fixes?
Just a thought, would you be lighting up the Chevrolet script letters in the grille or paint them again. I think led strip would make it pop and look great.

Wow those dust caps easily 10 mins each to put back on , that took a lot of swearing to get back on . For some reason my fog light connections were not rectangular but oval had to reorder new lights, Lasfit to Sealight hope this works.
Got the headlights in today, Not much of a challenge, just requires a little patience on the drivers side. The backup lights are going to have to wait till wormer weather. They required contortionist status to access.

What’s weird with the Canyons is they added LED fog lights for 2021 and still have the LED accents on the headlights but kept the halogens. I left it alone on the old Canyon but I very well may be doing this upgrade on the new one.
I would highly recommend it. It's insane how much of a difference it makes.

Nice. Yes low beams were a huge complaint of mine. I had little monster leds installed with rc led light bar. I didn't touch high beams.
For other mods: I would highly recommend putting on some shock skids. I just installed 589fab and love them since I tore up a shock dust cover hitting something (wake up call).
So far I did all of your red Colorado led swap outs: interior, rear brake, and bed led lights. Also added afe throttle body spacer, CAI air box like your red Colorado, MBRP exhaust with black dual walled exhaust tip, AEV rear differential skid plate, black gloss Colorado badging, plastidip v6, matte black ZR2 with us flag, plastidip chrome around black bowtie on front and rear.
Yeah the low beam bulbs are really bad on this truck but easily fixed. I have some shock skins coming soon and a couple things for the differential coming!

They are Corvette ZR1 diecast cars. I think I got these at walmart.
Need help. Love the lighting upgrade. If i need to replace ALL lights, interior and exterior, with these lazfit bulbs? Also I may swap out the rear lights in total with VIPMOTOZ Colorado Pickup Truck] Black Housing Premium OLED Neon Tube Full-LED Tail Light Lamp Assembly, Driver & Passenger SideStore. Doing that just because I am looking for a more full black out look. Do you have an opinion of these rears by VIPMOTOZ? Great post. They will not affect warranty. The part numbers above are for low beam and high beam.

I bought Benebolt ultimate h11 last Dec. And one just went out they did refund my money though. I'm going to try the Lasfit LA's hopefully the as bright as the benebolts were and last longer.
I have about 20 sets of LEDs so it wouldn't surprise me if these ended up in the wrong box at some point. I have a set of the LS bulbs that I'll be making a video on later but they required modified dust caps so it's a little more of a process.

Are these LEDs heavily blinding? I live more into the city but like going out and visiting the country side, with brighter lights it will help light the dirt roads but i also dont want to be ticketed when i drive in the city.
I've never been ticketed for headlights before, with that said, these are no more blinding than the OEM LEDs that come in newer cars like cadillac escalades, etc.
How much did all the LED lights cost together?
Great video, However, I replaced my low beams yesterday and on the passenger side I didn't remove the small trim piece with the torx or the small hose hose. I just pulled the small trim clip on the back of the bulkhead right above the horn and it was easy to pull the trim cover over out of the way.. Did the both headlights in what seemed like about 5 minutes.

I clicked on the Lasfit H11 & Lasfit 9005 you listed above. In the description of both of these bulbs it clearly says "This LA plus series H11 LED bulb won't fit the regular light of 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado, please select our LC plus series H11 LED bulb" When I go thru the Lasfit fitment process it does not list the LA series bulbs for a Chevy Colorado only the LC serires!
The bulbs I used work just fine but the updated bulbs I installed in a later video need bigger dust caps to fit correctly.

I put Lasfit led switchbacks to my 2019 Chevy Colorado but I'm still experiencing hyperflash. I flipped the bulbs to show the daytime lights but they hyperflash but when I flip them to show the amber turn signal, they don't Hyperflash but no daytime running lights. Weird.
There was apparently a bad batch of these being sent out. Contact Lasfit and let them know, they'll take care of you.

the more updated version doesn't have the driver any longer from what I've read.

I'm not super familiar with the 2013 Colorados. Putting in better bulbs is always the first step but if you are still having issues I'd look into adjusting the headlights for a better cast of light down the road.
Now that the lights have been in for a while, how did they hold up? Any Burn-outs or melting?

Are you going to upgrade the reverse lights/cargo lights to led too or throw on a set of spiders? LEDs were the second thing I did to my Colorado. Removing the airdam was the first
I have a set of spider tails. I'm going to be making a video of how to "fix" them before installing though.

No. Resistors are only needed for the turn signal lights.
Do the DRL"S run at lower power during the daylight like oem halogen?
Yes they do. I also have the Gen5DIY harness to relocate the DRL to the turn signals.
I'm not sure if you posted somewhere that I missed, but do you have a link to buy those bigger 3D printed headlight covers?
We were making them but the price of everything has gone so far up there it doesn’t make sense to make them anymore

They do fit. The dust cap is a struggle to get on but it can be done. Anything bigger such as my updated video showing even brighter LED's are going to require modified dust caps. Did you have any problems with the LED Low Beam Headlights when it runs in the DRL mode? I'm worried they will not work as DRLs??? My Colorado has the low beams running as DRLs during the daytime when set to Auto.
I never tried. I moved the DRL to the turn signal for this exact reason.

You make that dust cap look so simple, what a pain with that gasket. What's your trick or technique for alignment and gasket seating?
Time and patience. Seriously, if I filmed how long it actually took me you guys would have lost interest pretty quickly lol
@@HorsePowerObsessed ok for your other fans, I did figure it out and have a tip! Make a silver sharpie mark on the cover and side plastic before removal! That’s the alignment mark for easy reinstall afterwards.

It looked like you had a driver hooked up to the light. LasFit ad says no driver on this light?
These were an older version of the same bulb which did have a driver.

Do the dome lights fade when they shut off, or do they just shut off?
They dim out and then eventually shut off.
Aside from the bulbs, did you replace the headlights at all?
No I haven't. The aftermarket headlights that I have seen are not the highest quality unfortunately.
Is there a reason why you went with oxilam 194 over the lasfit 194.
Just because I had them leftover. I would personally use Lasfit 194's in the future they are a much higher quality LED.
Do you like the LED better than the HID you did in the 2018?
I do. I feel the output is basically the same and the install is a lot, A LOT, easier.
@@HorsePowerObsessed it looked way easier. Even when you put the upgraded ones in and used the 3D printed caps. That is better than drilling a hole in it

My low beam dust cap doesn’t fit back on? And got the same lights as you and if I did put it on my dust cap would heat up and probably get melted
It's a tight fit but they definitely will fit and they will not melt.
@@HorsePowerObsessed does the back of your dust cap hit the back of your fan? That what mine is doing. So urs isn’t melted at all? I had mine on for a little bit and they were very hot and it seemed like it could melt
They do touch the back of the dust caps. They won't melt because the heat doesn't come out of the back it comes out of the side of the heat sink. I've been using mine now for over a month and no problems

Should not be such a pain in the ass to change out a headlight bulb but it is on the Colorado !!! GM engineers need to get their heads out of their asses !!!

How did you flip the power source? for your headlights
Just unplug it and flip it around and then plug it back in.

Definitely exaggerating how bad the headlights are. Compared to my Ford Transit 250 work vehicle I feel like I can see Australia with the stock bulbs... I can't see 5ft I'm front of me at night with the work van. Regardless, looks much better

The LED's have built in resistors to stop any issues.

Get the front turn signal LED bulbs, they are so bright.
Also have the third brake light and cargo lights and reverse lights. All Lasfit all great.
The warranty thing is often misunderstood. To void a warranty claim the dealer has to say your modification caused the failure. For example, if your engine has an issue they likely can’t say the bulbs caused it. Well they can, but you could either fight them or just go to another dealer. That being said though if you have an electrical issue they may have a case to void it.
