Got my ZR2 three months ago. Love this truck. Felt crazy paying 52 grand for a midsize, but after seeing the pricing for Ranger Raptor and Tacoma Pro, I feel like I hit the lottery. No regrets.
Right there with you. Mine arrives in 2 weeks! convenience package 3, technology package, and premium audio were a MUST. Got all that with underbody cameras as an extra :) $52,500. I’m content.
@Vec135 Trust me...youre gonna like it. Worth the wait
Picked up my black '23 ZR2 back in January. Stripper model (zero options) for $48K. I love this ridiculous thing. Perfect for packing up to go innawoods or just load up with gear for surf fishing.
Like to see that only 19% of the parts on these two trucks are sourced out of Mexico. Truck, transmission & engine all assembled in the USA. No offense to Mexico just like to see the money going back into our economy 👍
More jobs in Mexico means less people coming over from said country. Take a pick
@Tiovergudo no, no it doesn't.
I’m Hispanic and couldn’t agree more . A shame these American owned companies outsource as much as they do
agree with you but cars are gonna cost way more
@@Tiovergudonot really how it works
I was in between the two but I bought the TB cause I got it for a good deal. 39k out the door with convenience package, adaptive cruise, and full 360 cam. I couldn’t turn down the deal to be honest. The ZR2 was 48-49 out the door and I didn’t want to have that payment. Also, I can tow more with the trail boss and I’m an avid fisherman. I know that i will be purchasing a boat eventually. I also didn’t care about the interior as much, I just wanted that 11 inch infotainment screen and i will customize the rest to my liking as time goes.
Tan trail boss, best truck ever. I’m still bewildered my 2024 Trail Boss has more power than my 2016 Z71 Colorado!
ZR2 for sure. I wish Chevy didn't cheap out on the lighting in the truck. All lighting should be LED these days.
Agree but it is a cheap upgrade we can do ourselves
After having LED headlights for the last 4 years I can’t go back to halogen headlights ever again.
Great information on these two trucks!
Get the base ZR2 for ~48K. Its a bargain as compared to a lightly optioned Trailboss at around 42-44K. :)
Actually a lightly optioned TB is 40-41k msrp and I'm already seeing discounts for around 2k.... seeing them around 38-39k.
ZR2 has a reduced tow capacity. If you are using as the off road vehicle then it makes sense. If you are using it to tow your off road toys then trail boss makes more sense.
Ayo, thanks for doin this comparison out in the rain
ZR2 in Blue!
If you need towing capability, the Trail Boss can tow another 1700lbs vs. the ZR2, which is huge. Sex appeal definitely favors the ZR2.
I understand it was 19 years ago but my fathers 2005 F350 dually Lariat loaded was $43k, and he still has it with like 44k miles. 100% I’m buying this Colorado ZR2, the front lockers alone are worth the extra money for me at least. I’m coming from a 3” lifted 2006 E350 XLT van with 4 wheel drive & locking hubs. Now wether I want to purchase a brand new one or wait a couple of years and get a left over with 20-30k miles and save a bunch of money I’m not sure yet 😂
i wish they had better high-clearance rear bumpers. good comparison though thanks.
Is that kicker sound system even good? Looks cheap
47k For the TB? 🤯 Mine cost 41,100 Plus I have MORE options, I have damped tail gate with storage in tailgate, power seat, cruise control , all weather Chevrolet rubber floor mats and I got every option that truck has, sprayed in liner ,slide rear window w defrost , tow package, only thing I don’t have is those ugly side steps that I don’t want! I have added red tow hooks , screen and speedo protector and Red Line hood struts! Why is that truck 47k with LESS options? Also they have a used 2023 with 6k miles for 49k at the Chevy used trucks dealer next to the dealer that sells new trucks where I bought mine ,,same exact Colorado TB, color and options for 40k and it’s a NEW 2024!
I like the Z71
That’s a really dumb way to spec a TB. Black appearance package for $3k? I just got a Canyon AT4, company truck, for $41.5k through our fleet account.
Hey i don't care, I'll take a plain trailboss for under 40K. I can deal with manual seats no cruise control. The radio cluster is much better than last gen and the power and torque you get with the high output. Man I'm not picky lol.
For as much as that trail boss costs, only being a midsized truck, it should be loaded to the gills with options. Who is that much of a fool to pay such a price on that? I remember in 03 when an SS Silverado stickered for 40k and that seemed absolutely insane pricing.
This particular truck has some weird options that nobody would really want in my opinion. Lightly option?$40 to $42,000 would be the way to go. I would just need the rear window and towing setup
Weird that GM is cheaper and finally reliable that the infamous Tacoma.
The Colorado is getting too expensive dude..
"tro boss"
I bet he robbed them and probably a high speed chase after the video.
