"And [Gabriel] came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. (Luke 1:28-31) "And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:41-45)
“Again therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, walketh not in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” St John 8:12

Beautifully done, Kimberly! Although I am doing very different kind of singing (a cappella men's group - contemporary), it is still helpful for me to see the score and hear you sing it.
Try my song: "Ave Maria, mater misericordiae, Sancta Imperivm Romano sanctum Imperium Byzantine est. Deus quo Rex Regis univers sanctificet. Pax et misericordia et nos protegeant. Nostrae fidei nos servat. Ave Dominia, ave Mater Misericordiae, ave Stella Maris, ave, Stella Maris. Tu regna cum sancto Spiritu parum, Spero meum diem mortis, te videre in caelis. Amen."
Very beautiful. I like to enable UA-cam's loop feature, and just listen to this divine chant over and over again, kind of like saying The Rosary. I can sense the presence of heavenly angels. Is this rendition constant, or does it change slightly from week to week? It sounds a little different sometimes, but it may just be my poor memory.
Thank you for your beautiful Gregorian chants. I love to listen and learn the Latin words. Can you please set CC generate in Latin and make your videos subtitled in Latin & English - on all of your videos, if it possible. And leave comments turned on after it had been uploaded. I am severely hard of hearing and Deaf. I’m profoundly Deaf in the left ear and HoH in the right ear. I can hear with the help of the hearing aid but it doesn’t help me to hear Crystal clear. It is very catch on every word spoken or sung. I missed out 75-80% of the so spoken information. That’s a lot. That’s like incomplete puzzle with only a few put together with one or some part are understood. Music and lyrics are the most difficult for me to follow and understand any words sung unless I have something written or captions/subtitled to follow. The music sheet are somewhat helpful but still have a hard time to follow. I need to be know what actual word being sung at each musical note. I actually like to see the person(s) singing the song by following the lip(s) and the lyrics with in addition to captions/subtitles. To CC generate and add subtitles, they can be done by the person who does video editing and upload videos in UA-cam. What a splendide voice of yours, Kimberly ! Thanks also for the clear music sheet, it is pleasant to work on 🙏🏻 I have a question about the key, it starts on a G at hearing, as for the Pater Noster but the key is on the 4th line wheras it is on the 3rd for the Pater Noster.. if you-or anyone- ever have time to answer my beginners questions, than you ! 💛🕊
Hi Rémi! Thanks for the kind comment. Regarding absolute pitch (G or F or any other modern note): Gregorian chant doesn't have a specific key like modern music does. This means a singer or ensemble can choose a starting note based on whatever key fits best for their voice or voices (think about the highest and lowest notes). How the notes relate to each other (where "do" is / what mode the chant is in) depends on the placement of the clef as you noted, and is also indicated by the little number before the start (in this case 1, indicating Dorian).
@@ChantsofaLifetime Oh, ok I totally forgot about the modal approach ! Thx for your explaination it’s cristal clear ! 🙌🏼 God bless you ans all thé best for your upgoing projects ! 👏🏻
I am here from Reddit too. That is brilliant. In your living room! It sounds like you in a recording studio or a cathedral. Your problem is partly that you are too good and you sounds like you must be Sony Records (or whoever).
Oh, thank you! I use a Blue Yeti mic and Garage Band to process -- overall, a fairly amateur set-up, so I appreciate the validation that it sounds professional.
I'm here from your reddit post on the concerning "copyright" strikes (www.reddit.com/r/youtube/comments/mc3clt/copyright_claims_on_hundredyearold_melodies/ ... for the curious), and while I have absolutely no useful input on this thing you're enduring, I can only say I hope you keep it up.
@@ChantsofaLifetime you're welcome! Best of luck again to you. It'd be a big shame to see all this honest work go because of wacko invisible robots and incompetence.
