I was born and raised Catholic but left the faith for 20+ years. I completely rejected God because I was angry with Him. I dabbled in the occult and divination for many years, and I came dangerously close to becoming a satanist. Believe it or not.....I met a devout Catholic from Sierre Leone in West Africa in the USA as a refugee and started going to Mass with him in 1999. The 3rd RCIA class I finally got it....and became a Catholic in 2004, converting from Protestant, which is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has saved my life. Thank you Jesus.

Once as a non denominational Protestant I found all Catholic things boring but thanks to Gods grace and the blessed Virgin Marys prayers I have returned home Latin is my tongue for I am Catholic.
Remember, all Christendom was Catholic until the 16th century. And Catholic things are not all boring. The Gregorian Chants and writings of a number of Catholic Church doctors and leaders are very good Christian theology. However, Martin Luther ( a Catholic monk,at the time) pointed out the things that were not Biblical ( indulgences , "infallibility" of the Pope,et al), therefore the split from Catholicism and rise of the Protestant religion. Just want to put it in proper perspective, from a Protestant Christian.

The Latin Mass is still permissible and many diocese have a parish that still prays mass in the Extraordinary Form as it is currently known. I attend a Latin Mass every Sunday right here in the midwestern US... It is a beautiful tradition that is alive and well! Peace, Love, & Blessings! -Brandon

Believe it or not.....I met a devout Catholic from Sierre Leone in West Africa in the USA as a refugee and started going to Mass with him in 1999. Remember, all Christendom was Catholic until the 16th century. And Catholic things are not all boring. The Gregorian Chants and writings of a number of Catholic Church doctors and leaders are very good Christian theology. However, Martin Luther ( a Catholic monk,at the time) pointed out the things that were not Biblical ( indulgences , "infallibility" of the Pope,et al), therefore the split from Catholicism and rise of the Protestant religion. Just want to put it in proper perspective, from a Protestant Christian.

One of my most favorite and most beautiful prayers to be sung. When I was a little kid at church it was one of my favorite times of the year and still is when we sing the Litany of the Saints on the Easter Vigil. Sends shivers down my spine every time I hear this.
