If they do the same old stuff they get crap. If they change their sound they are BMTH. They can’t win. Personally backing off the screaming and adding melodic cleans while staying heavy is a sweet spot for me.

Pretty unrelated, but Hands Like Houses - Ground Dweller is one of my all time favourite albums-it's fairly heavy, but all cleans, and I just can't compare it to anything. It's nothing like HLH now
I have heard of them and even heard parts of songs from them. Nothing ever hooked me in until I heard this song. I love how hard it hits without being "hard" Made me finally check out a lot of their other stuff

It was foreseeable when Tom died, architects will get a change in the sound. He had such a influence in the musical work. But i have total trust that the next record will be awesome as well. I liked that song.

MY DUDE!!!!! Was definitely a definite direction for sam and the boys and I love it... I was honestly expecting a cheeky BLEGH but as you said he did say he wasnt gonna be doing it anymore. With that I still loved this. Big amity fan too so I loved the vibe of this track

You can't lose your main lyricist/composer and still sound the same (add in the trauma of it all too). They have always changed sound after an album or 2. 'Here & Now' album for example is NOTHING like their previous. They are top 5 metal bands on earth, they don't miss, this album will be huge. Trust.

People also keep forgetting this is ONE song off an ALBUM that no one has heard yet. I don't think "THEY HAVE CHANGED OMG" is even relevant yet, for all we know the rest of the album is the heaviest shit you've ever heard. Also, this is the FIRST album to be written by the rest of the band. The deceased member of the band did ALL of the writing, the lyrics, the music, everything. The sound WILL be different with the writer gone. They had to reinvent themselves. The shitty part is, most people aren't real fans of bands and just shit on them without knowing anything.

It is very different but I still think it sounds like them. This feels like a natural progression after Holy Hell, at least to me. I saw people react that way when Royal Beggars was released too after all. That said, I don't expect this entire album to be all clean vocals and synths, I expect they'll experiment a lot to keep things fresh and evolve. And let's talk about the fact that they have 3 artists featured on the album, including Winston McCall from Parkway Drive. The album being 15 songs long makes me wonder if they're gonna do some "short ambient interludes" or if they're all full songs. Either way I'm fucking hyped.

I didn’t like it at first, but realized they lost their original song writer. So I take it as them finding themselves. And I fucking love it! No bleghs or screaming, if anything I fucking respect it.

Their last three albums had almost the same sound as each other. Architects have always evolved through their albums, it was time for a change imo. It doesn’t hurt that the song slaps. Not to mention the album has 15 songs on it, I’m pretty sure they’re not all going to be pushing this radio rock vibe
Song's a banger. Different is good anyway. If you want a band who make the same album for 40 years then go listen to ACDC. And that's not trashing them either I love those guys.

There needs to be some harsh vocals mixed in. I feel like they went from their own unique sound to sounding like bring me the horizon. Hopefully this is one of the softer songs on the album. I like the song but it's just not what I want to hear when I turn on Architects

Their first 2 singles are just too amazing. Meteor was meh. Def shouldn’t have been a single but I could see why they went that route but damn. I listen to these 2 singles all the time and it never gets old. It’s personally their best stuff in my opinion.
I mean, for me it’s meh ... it’s a song I won’t skip on the album but it is also a song I probably won’t replay after hearing it
