Maple is smart! She takes the carrot, goes to the den nibbles but stashes it and heads back for more! LOL. So if you touch their paddle/tail do they turn on you?

If I remember correctly, one of the main reason the Dutch settled on Manhattan was to trade in beaver pelts. Alas, New York was built thanks to beavers.
