Hey there! Let me do my best to clarify all of that for you. The journal depends on what you need. If you want trophies, you can buy a trophy journal. The trophies are pieces of furniture that you can place within the home. It increases the laborers' happiness, which increases your return. You need 1 trophy of each tier for every 3 laborers. So if your laborer is T5 you will need a T2, T3, T4, and T5 trophy. If you have gamekeepers you will want to get the skinning trophies for them. The general trophy isn't specific to skinning, I recommend getting the first journal, which is the ganekeepers skinning journal, which returns hide for you to refine. This will make you the most silver. You can purchase them and go out to Bridgewatch and kill/skin animals to fill them. Once they are filled, you can either sell them on the market or give them to your laborer. Because the income you can get from an island is alot but I just got my free premium in fort steering and it was only 20k and everything else is real life 996k silver which is insane so I would say get premium first to buy an island cause it's alot cheaper and it seems that your like me n many other broke asf and probably either never hit 1m silver before or had it once or twice were just not the rich that can make 150 million in an hour but we will get there brotha no worries I hope since you posted this comment you got richer ❤❤❤🎉🎉

Unfortunately, we can't abandon our islands with the vendor. I mean we can just not go back, but to build another island in another city it costs twice as much as the first.
You hire workers for whatever content you want to do. If you farm dungeons or open world mobs you get mercenary. If you chop trees you get lumberjacks etc.
Two questions how many trophy's and what specific trophy's do you need to place to keep them happy and whats the difference between the journals because some say gamekeepers's journal and other say generalist trophy journal (Basically want to know what the difference and use of the two are what which one I should fill in order to get that silver)
Hey there so you need 1 trophy for every 3 laborers. However, lets say you have a Tier 5 Gamekeeper you will need 1 for each Tier. Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Skinning Trophy. The Gamekeeper's journal will bring back hide as a reward, the other will bring back general trophies as a reward. You want to fill the gamekeeper's journals as they bring hide back and will make you more silver.

watched this for the 3rd time, as a beginner, still getting confused of what to do next half the time? not sure if i got it right. buy island upgrade to t2 and build 3 houses and upgrade to t3 per house, hire 2 game keepers and build 2 t3 bed and build 1 t3 table and trophies for happiness buy journal then kill and skin for all the game keepers to work build farm and plant carrots rinse and repeat until max island, to build 12 houses and 5 farms all house are t3 with game keepers, 1 farm plant carrots and 4 farms plant wheats did i get it? now my question is, can we alternate to different laborers? other laborers and its journals wasn't really explained. for my case, i'm not focused on skinning. thanks.
You can switch laborers, skinning and hide make the higest amount of silver right now. Id recommend selling yours on the market if you plan on changing them.

@Arvin Sangalang yes, i recommend focusing on one or two gsthering skills. You will do best gathering out of Steppe Biomes so Bridgewatch is good, but you get a bonus for refining hide in Martlock. You can port to any city you like. Just watch the cost of travel.

Wheat would be the best option since it has a chance to give you seeds without watering. I'd recommend working on laborers. not really on the personal shops since you want to benefit from the rate of return bonus different cities offer.
Millions of silver? How many millions per hour? How about showing the investments cost and focus cost, silver/hour from farming, skinning, labourers etc. To my knowledge, the bulk of earnings come from fillings the journals and not labourers. Personal islands don't really make much money
From my experience. 1 farm plot of watered carrots and 4 plots of wheat will make about 240k alone a day and will yield enough seed to cover their own costs. Yes, as the laborers go up in tiers, they will eventually make more than farms. Farms are a passive way to earn income. Which is a great start for a beginner. Only going to tier 3 homes makes it where you pay the least to get more laborers. Eventually, you won't invest any focus on your farm and run full wheat. You will use your focus to craft higher hides when you've unlocked the ability to do so. With only investing in tier 3 houses, it shouldn't take more than 20 days to cover all fees.

@maxayam8268 You can, but my personal experience when starting the focus used on carrots will make you more than hide. Keep in mind that you will also want to refine in Martlock to take advantage of the refining increase, and you will end up paying quite a bit of taxes in the city. As a beginner, it won't make you as much as the amount of focus you will consume to start. Long-term, I agree that using your focus on refining hide on higher tier will make you the most in the long run. By then, your farm will be self-sufficient without needing focus and making you an easy 240k a day passivley.
How the make the most boring island possible? Nothing but laborers. . Screw that! I made crafting shops, and a pasture to raise animals. So much more fun.
