Never thought of adding DRO to my equipment, but I'll follow this with interest.

Nice one Matt. Your DRO looks identical to mine, which was far more expensive.....

The biggest problem comes from fitting things in the wrong place because it seems convenient or easy. I bought a RF45 clone and then chased up the bits I needed. Luckily I could references a purchased item where the conversion was already done, so I copied someone else’s layout. Saved me buggering things up!!.,

I'm going to hold off on a DRO for as long as is feasible, but at that price it's tough to resist. My biggest worry is drilling holes in my milling machine, I'd like to see how you get on fitting it!

William, Hope your well my UA-cam friend! It's easy to fit, I increased the supplied bolts up to M5 from M4, you're drilling and tapping cast so its easy. Honestly the quality is unbelievably good, I'm not being sponsored by them, I took a gamble on Vevor and everything I've received so far is fantastic. I've a chuck on route currently. All the best, Laters, Matt 👍

I purchased a VEVOR DRO for new lathe in Oz a few months ago, works like a treat. Can beat it for the price

Ed, I can't believe the quality of it, tbh most of the expensive ones are most likely coming out of the same factory!! For the lathe I could do with a thiner scale for the Y axis, so it will be a little longer until I have DRO on the lathe. So far everything Ive bought from VEVOR has been good quality, Ive just ordered a new chuck for the Lathe, but thats another story! 👍 Laters, Matt

@@MattChiversWorkshop Good luck with the new chuck, I'm sure it will be great. I bought a Milling Machine 18 months ago that came with a DRO installed but my new lathe didn't so I purchased the VEVOR. The cross-slide didn't fit so I had to purchase a new slim scale but it fitted to the VEVOR readout with no issues. Fitting the scales as a pain on my lathe but I got there in the end
