Four things you should know about selling on Vinted

Selling on Vinted for the first time can be a little arduous, but it’s well worth the hassle - I’ve made over £70 from clothes that I would have gotten rid of.
Here are 4 things I’ve learnt about selling on Vinted for the first time:
1. You don’t have to accept the first offer you get
Whatever price you put things on for, people will often counter it with something lower.
If you’re happy with the offer you can accept it, but if they’re offering lower than you’d hoped, wait for a couple of days to see if you get any other offers. You can also see how popular an item is from how many people ‘favourite’ it or view it. If it’s getting lots of attention, you’ll probably be able to sell it at full value.
2. Promptness is key
When someone makes an order from me, I try to get it sent out as soon as possible, as when more orders come in, it starts to feel overwhelming.
If you take a little while, Vinted will start to chase you with messages and emails, so stay on top of your orders.
3. Make a note of the item's weight and parcel size
In our last Vinted tips reel we said that parcelling everything up and putting sticky notes on the parcels was a good way to organise your orders, but we’ve got something more to add.
When you’re making your notes, make sure to write down the weight of the item and the parcel size you chose for it. This can make things much easier if someone orders a bundle, which are multiple items in one order, you can just add up the individual weights, making it a much quicker process!
4. Check your shipping options
Nothing delays posting things like selecting shipping options that are inconvenient.
Vinted doesn’t make it that easy to understand the different shipping options but generally, if it says “Home delivery” - you’ll normally need a printer for it.
You can see your postage options by tapping your profile - settings - postage. You can the toggle options on or off depending on what suits you.
