I like to mix the curl enhancing smoothie with water in a separate bottle - it makes awesome hair milk or cream depending on how much of the product your hair likes and doesn't weigh it down as much as using it straight sometimes does😀

Your a product junkie?😍 Can you please give me some tipps? I have low porosity, healthy hair with no volume. Loose waves on the top, ringlets on the bottom. Pleaaaase help me I'm struggling like crazy!!
I have a very loose wave/curl pattern and I also use the curl enhancing smoothie; the thing for looser textures is: use *less* product! I use about a coinsize for my thick tailbone length hair, and it is *enough*. Trust me on that! Otherwise it is going to turn sticky. Adjust your amount for shorter hair! If it is still too heavy, the Frizz-Taming smoothie might be a good one to try.

Yep! I have loose waves but a weird, very frizzy texture so I use mega thick butters and things to tame it as best as I can. I just have to use less so it doesn't get greasy.

I was going to come in here to say the exact same thing. Depending on your hair type and how much hair you have, adjust accordingly. I literally probably used to use a pea sized amount when i put it in aftertaking it out of a tshirt. In shower before towel I do use more but I think the reason is my hair is fine and low porosity 3a and 2b-c curls. I used this exclusively for 4 years I liked it so much. I was a little afraid to use it when I started cg because I wondered if it was designed for what it says on the label(thick and coarse I think it says) but I went for it because I couldn't find anything in store. I think this is also a good product if you are concerned about build up, this product is great for not causing that, it washes out beautifully.
Marleen G., Thank you so much for saying this. I am trying to find my way in the CG method and the layering of products and the copious amounts of of products doesn't seem to be working for my hair. My hair is dry and porous, but it can't take all of that product without feeling laden down, dry, and so brittle. I'm hoping to find a styling cream that can be a one-and-done for me and still have touchable waves/curls. I don't want to break the bank on the trial and error with all of these products. I just got a Ouidad curly haircut yesterday and bought a relatively small bottle of gel for $26 dollars and it's supposed to be moisturizing, but my hair feels like sh*t when I have used it so far. 😫
I need to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your past videos that have helped me so much. I never realized that I had Irish, red, curly hair until changing my hair routine. My hair has always been desperately dry and horribly frizzy. I would do hair masks multiple times a week just so it wasn’t breaking. I never realized it was the sulfates, silicons and wrong products. Once I changed my shampoo and conditioner my hair was curly and then I watched your videos further and found products to style this mane. I seriously feel like a different person. At 26 I finally am wearing my hair down . Thank you

Payton Mitchell what about co-washing, then apply leavin conditioner of your choice, then use Ampro Gel its black gel. It'll hold anything. Trick is to moisturize and detangle first then apply Ampro

The Dippity Do Gelee is amazing! It looks like a basic gel, but it's not! I used it yesterday, for the first time. I was on day 3, it was rainy and windy (I'm in St. Louis so the weather is a surprise each day) I was worried about my hair during my family shopping day. Anywho, my hair survived the weather. No frizz, no crunch, no flakes, I mean, perfection, no lie. And i only used like a quarter sized portion for my entire head. Glad u recommended this product!! Ur the best with this stuff girlie.

I have 2c-3a high porosity Caucasian hair and the curl enhancing smoothie by shey moisture works wonders for me! I even use it to tame fly always when I *gasp* straighten it(I know I need to stop)

Would you say that makes your hair soft and shiny as well or do you use an extra product for that?
I try not till use too many products to lengthen the time between washes. When I straighten my hair I find it makes my hair a bit sticky which is why it’s so good for holding curls, so shiny yes but the sticky takes away from the soft
But for curls it’s soft it’s shiny it’s beautiful!
I found the dippity do line a few weeks ago at Marshall's and I remembered your Valentines Day video and snagged a couple different ones to try. The gelee' was amazing! It keeps my curls happy for longer that most other stylers I have tried. Thanks for the review!!
I feel like when your hair is healthy you can put more or less anything in it. But I also do agree with most your choices!

It's so funny because I remember dippity do back when I was growing up. My friend's mother used to slay her edges with it and we used to always want to know what she used and she showed us the product one day and it was dippity do and I will always remember that product. I live in the US specifically Michigan and I find it at Marshall's all the time even the moose shampoo and conditioners. So Marshalls definitely has the whole line of dippity do products!!!

Hey im no Guru but i do have a pool and i have natural hair. What works for me is that i use a conditioner in my hair before I get into the pool so that the hair cuticle is already like full with something..so that it doesn't soak up too much pool water. I usually wash as usual after but use a deep conditioner in the shower for 5-10 mins. Usually feels normal after that not the extra dry it would from the pool water if i didn't use the conditioner before
Emily Hannold This past summer I put my 3 year old in swimming lessons and I panicked for her hair bc I couldn't find a swim cap but the idea of putting a few pumps of conditioner, oil and water in a spray bottle popped in my head and I did it and used it every day on her hair. I would wash her hair on saturdays bc she had swim class mon-fri. It worked like a charm and her hair never broke off or anything.

I thank you as a dude, only product I know about is the Shea butter smoothie, it works but I’ve noticed after about 10+ hours it starts to get dryer and it feels like it’s heavy. Def gonna try some of these out, but I workout everyday so I tend to wash these out everyday. Day one curls is what I’m going to need.

This video was "right time fight place" type of video. I was just about to search up best curly hair styling products. My boyfriend and I have decided to take new road in how we take care of our hair and need to get new products.
My favorite shea moisture the extra moisture detangler. I use as an detangler and a leave in. Then I use aloe Vera gel or miss Jessie's jelly soft curls. And that's it.

Supercream is THE BEST!!! I have thin, fine 3a hair and for me one pump is plenty. A little goes a long way but it is seriously the best styler I have ever used!!!

I think you started this video off with the BEST one!!!! I have to admit, that I love Shea Moisture's Super Fruit Smoothie as well. It's not as heavy as the curl enhancing smoothie, but like you, I haven't had a problem with it being too heavy for my fine texture either. I use the other smoothies from Shea Moisture just so my hair won't get too used to the curl enhancing smoothie. Great review girl and keep your eyes open! Hugs!!!
I am in Canada and just found the dippity do gelèe in my small town pharmacy! I decided to pick it up and let me just say WOW!!!! you weren't kidding when you said it was good!!!!
I think it'd be interesting to compare the Devacurl coconut super cream with the Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Curl Cream. I *borrowed* it from my sister's cabinet today and got a surprisingly good result! The price difference between the products is substantial.

Curl Enhancing Smoothie is bae 😍 my first product I used when I got all the rexlaxer out and it did enhance my curls. I was worried that I wouldn't have curls. But Shea Moisture came through 🙌. My sister uses Cantu so I'm curious. I hope I didn't waste my money

My hair doesn't like SheaMoisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie anymore since the formula changed, and I haven't used it since 2015. I want to try TreLuxe & Curl Keeper eventually. My hair loves Camille Rose Naturals Aloe Whipped Butter Gel, Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter, Mielle Organics Honey & Ginger Styling Gel, and Mielle Organics Brazilian Curly Cocktail Curl Cream as stylers!

Great video! I would like to see your favorite shampoos, conditioners. My hair isn't 3b so I tend to need a gel. Curl enhancing smoothie won't prevent the frizz. Your hair is so bouncy and shiny.

It's funny that I love 3 of these even though I have a completely different texture. Cantu curl activator cream, Dippity-do girls with curls gelée and diy flaxseed gel are amazing ❤️ Haven't tried curlkeeper and treluxe though :/
Some Cantu products have silicones and sulfates. Also some Shea Moisture may say there sulfate free, but still contain Behentrimonium Methosulfate.
I found the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie on the Target app for $5.99! It was more expensive in store, so I showed my cashier the online price, and she price matched it. My store also has tons of coupons for $2 off any Shea Moisture product, so that makes it only $3.99! If you buy the smoothie regularly or are thinking about trying it out, please price match! My son loves the Cantu, he has tighter curls. I like it but not for everyday use on my hair.
I would say I have 2c hair and I was using the curl enhancing smoothie but I only ever used a small amount and I never had great defenition or frizz free results until I used a large amount, my hair is very thick but wavy curly so I thought it was to heavy for my hair but I wasn’t using enough! And it turns out it’s a perfect consistency for my hair!
