I’ve flown my 1947 Cessna 140 coast to coast….twice. If you want to enjoy the beauty of the world, there is nothing more stunning than to do so in a small airplane perched a couple of thousand feet above the ground. I’ve been to Europe dozens of times for work….when I tell people there that you can fly in the US without a radio or a flight plan they just can’t believe it. “Who controls you?” is invariably asked. The freedom we enjoy in this country is a unique treasure. General aviation is the epitome of that freedom.

Its remarkable how similar this concept is to motrobike riding..... In the space of 15 minutes, Ive gone from expecting to sleep around 10pm on an average night to riding for a few hours, exploring somewhere Ive never been and sleeping near my bike, usually on the beach. Hmmm I wonder what this place looks like, lets go find out.

Un bonito video. Me llama la atención la tranquilidad que debe dar volar en una zona tan plana y con tantos campos donde poder aterrizar, en caso de emergencia. Los que volamos entre montañas o zonas muy pobladas, lo echamos de menos.

So... about that aileron crossover gromet... get some 1300l and mek, your mechanic will probably give you some, apply light coat to each surface and let dry completely. Gently wipe with a rag dampened with MEK. Line up and press the grommet in place.
This type of repair easily falls under preventitive maintenance and you can sign it off as the pilot.

Hey Joe I am 24 with a Private and I am in the process of buying a 46 cub. I’m from n43 but I have been down your way a few times in a c172. I was wondering if Allen’s requires previous permission a phone call or meet up etc to operate out of or is it open to the public? My first powered airplane ride when I was 8 was in a cub and I was lucky enough to fly in one a few times after that. So I always look forward to a new video. To me there is no better airplane for building time “I’d like to be an airline pilot” and having some real fun. Thanks

Fun times. Only half-joking but having watched some of your helpful tailwheel tips, it would make it easier to watch the stick and rudder action if you put pom-poms, or something visible, on the toes of your shoes and, if you covered the front stick handle with a red & white striped cover. It would look dumb but it would sure help to see.
