- Nicholas has the power to destroy Cassandra and is about to use that power. This time, Cassandra goes too far!

What great scenes! 1st Nicholas takes away Cassandra/ Angelique's power. 2nd the witch confronts Barnabas with a gun. "You are too dangerous to pity!"
Then Angelique is so stubborn, ignoring & disobeying her brother Nicholas's order, she uses a voodoo doll & tries to destroy Adam. Again Nicholas caught her red-handed & he took all her evil magic powers away from her & made her an ordinary woman. Amazing! Then she went to the Old House & confronted Barnabas with the intent to kill him, but she transformed into a 200-year-old hag woman. Hahahaha (my sarcastic laugh song). Serves her right! The portrait of Angelique changes too. Then the hag Cassandra/Angelique went to the Old House to beg Barnabas for forgiveness & Barnabas adamantly refused. Then she died & so did her old hag image portrait. So Barnabas is a FREE MAN! Yay! This entire thrilling episode always keeps my cat's ears up like an owl 🦉
When Cassandra was doing her voodoo spell with the clay doll of Adam, she talked too much, so she got caught! Nicholas stopped her. Poor Barnabas doesn't realize he nearly got turned back into a vampire! Good story, though!

Oh Angelique, you had so many MANY chances to put the curse back on Barnabas, but you thought it would be more fun to torment him and his family and his friends first with the dream curse.
You could have just stuck the needle into the doll, Adam would have died instantly and Barnabas would be a vampire again, but no, you had to drag that out as well. Long enough for Nicholas to come and stop you.
And you actually expected Barnabas to forgive you after all you did to him? He was stuck in a coffin for nearly 2 centuries because of your curse, he lost his fiancee, his uncle, his mother and his little sister all because of you.
You deserve to get your powers taken away, lady.
Nicholas and Angelique/Cassandra go to war. Looks like Nicholas has the upper hand in this battle.

Lara Parker portrayed two characters who loves two men who are cursed. One was Jonathan Frid's Barnabas Collins, that turns him into a vampire. Second was Bill Bixby's David Bruce Banner in which her death made him turn into the Incredible Hulk.

Barnabas used, lied to, and mistreated Angelique in St Martinique. Read her book: “Angelique’s Descent”.
Always scheming, vindictive, jealous hateful witch: yet she always says she loves Barnabas. She is evil and only cares for herself and torturing Barnabas : I never accepted that final episode with Angelique & Barnabas saying they loved each other: but they had to move to a new storyline without Barnabas & Angelique: I wasn’t happy with that end. But Angelique got what she deserved.
She only saved Quentin and Desmond because Barnabas gently shamed her . I agree that his declaration of love was too much. He could have appreciated her testimony without declaring that she was "one true love"
She was a full on sociopath. She had zero conscience and had zero qualms about hurting innocent bystanders.
that "declaration" scene was the only time Barnabas was really out of character, and I disliked it very much. It wasn't a well-written scene, it went against anything that was established before. But I guess they wanted to give the Angelique-fans something.
After what Angelique went through over the years can't really blame her
After Kathryn Leigh Scott left the show..The story writers could Never Again use the BARNABAS & JOSETTE romance...Alas!

Super weird writing ✍🏽 here: he mentioned josette along with mommy… I thought 💭 surely he’d mention Sarah as his big 3 of the losses. Since that was a kid.
I guess the show doesn’t mention her again after her actual death ☠️ is shown in the past?
And as has been said here in comments, His character would never “declare” love for that thing. 🧙♀️
It was cut out during the edit the original airing was him saying all 3 of the women who meant the most to him until 2 more came in
