Eating sounds are gross
The gaspacho green was so perfect that I thought it was part of the plate. As the chef was putting the dish together I kept thinking to myself, "when are they gonna pour the gaspacho on?"

Hi Mike, Indonesians here (Jakartans specifically lol) i'm glad you are happy and having joyful time in my country. What you said about Indonesians at the end of your video sums up about Indonesians. I oftenly joking with my friends about why Indonesia oftenly under colonialization by western nations such as Dutch/Portuguese/British, and i always said because Indonesians are absolutely friendly and nice towards foreigners, almost like we don't even recognized we were being colonialized.
Friendliness is in our DNA.

I work in a small town with a large community of Philipinos and the friendliness is unreal. I expressed my desire to travel to the Philippines and many have offered me a place to stay with their family. They are so inclusive and respectfully kind! Great Video.
the chef in this restaurant understands my palet so well, he's a genius, I wish I had come up with his dishes, I want to come here so bad now, all those dishes are a dream of mines, Mexican/Asian/french fusions.
I’m sure that these videos were filmed before this craziness. Mike must’ve had soo many food adventures that he has lots of videos to share even through this hard time. Same goes to all of the rest of the food and travel bloggers.

Journey Trials and Joy I didn’t specify the timeline. These are probably clips he hasn’t put out yet from his recent travels. It’s not a bad thing. Plus even if he had videos from years ago, I still watch them for the second, third, or fourth time.

If I'd be in Indonesia, I doubt that I would go for this pretentious dishes. Best serve it to hipsters and the occasional shills... pretty sure, that the locals have better dishes, that's simpler and better than this "fusion" of Mexican-Indonesian-Texan-Sushi-whatever, topped with Cilantro...

Since I live here rn it'll be a meal out of many anyway, does it matter if I go fine dining today and some "cheapass humbler" food tommorow? Hell nah
